This is day 3 of my project. I'm making progress. One day 1 I could only get myself to watch for about 5 minutes. Last night I watched the entire episode of Look Before you Sleep. I'm trying for two episodes tonight, if I ever stop procrastinating. OK, (deep breath) here I go...
Edit: I just finished watching Wedding at Cantorlot. This changes my perspective a bit. A little light begins to glimmer in my confused mind. But I won't jump to any conclusions yet, having only seen three episodes (one of them a two part episode, so only one really).
You'll get there. It happens to all of us eventually, and for a reason.

I see myself more as an unholy combination of Dash and Fluttershy, but according to this I've got more of AJ in the mix. Apparently introversion is not weighed very heavily.

Wulp. Surprise.
Although, I wouldn't say I'm quite THAT much like Pinkie, although sometimes I try to be. I try to be as friendly as I can to everyone and can be quite energetic sometimes, but not ALL of the time. Though, hell, I don't think anyone past middle school has the ability to be quite THAT energetic. I tend to get more hoppy and crazy around 1 PM and after. In the mornings I'm dead-weight.
And wait, Rainbow Dash? Haha. I'm not sure what I answered that led to that. For instance, I answered that the purpose to life was having fun and making people smile, as that's been my philosophy since BEFORE MLP, somewhat existential as it is. But I didn't say anything like I liked to be in competitions or anything like that. I think I even said that when I lose I just am a good sport about it. I wonder what question did that.
I'm actually somewhat surprised I didn't have more Rarity on there. My incessant OCD speaks for itself in most cases. @_@
The way I see it, though, each character is an embodiment of different attributes that each human has, in smaller and larger amounts. These attributes come with things that force us to behave in certain manners, both proper and improper. Sometimes our more competitive side comes out and that's good because we succeed at what we're doing, but that can also be bad like in "Mysterious Mare-Do-Well" because we tend to gloat when we do win. Each pony represents one of these pieces of our character, and shows us the extremes of each side, and gives us a reference to build that part of our character up if it's lacking.
Of course, maybe I'm over-reading, but I really do believe that life is best when we all try to be:
1) Clean, neat, and generous.
2) Hard-working and honest.
3) Competitive (not TOO competitive), courageous, and loyal.
4) Gentle, easy-tempered, and kind.
5) Learned (i.e. learnèd), and a little (i.e. A LOT ) nerdy.
6) And last but not least, a big bag of laughter and fun.
And if you can't be ALL of that, that's okay. Everyone's different. Lord knows I'm as competitive as a koala, and as courageous as an ostrich.
It just seems like the ponies really show us the most useful pieces of our character that we should iron out and build up.
