They're being tolerant. That's good.
But at the same time, you don't find a 3 ton pile of gold in a room that's disguised as a doll house, and then leave people alone just because they don't want you to badger them to come check out something they think will be too girly to find enjoyment in. The show is freaking awesome, and sometimes, you have to get on people to watch it. I don't approve, no, of constantly being annoying and badgering, but sometimes you have to remind them once every week or two, or ask them if they've seen any yet. Sometimes they don't believe you about the 3 tons of gold until you take them there and show them it.
OR, in the case of my friend Adam, send him a PM on Facebook with an episode, tell him to stop wussing out, and watch it. Then when he complains, you just say,
"[Friend's name].
Watch the damned ponies. Jesus."
I totally agree. I believe there's a line between being a complete in-your-face annoyng twat that pushes stuff down your throat constantly, and being a normal person who happens to be passionate about a thing and wants to share it. Maybe there's a few of the first kind within the brony community. We also have the bunch who keep it completely to themselves. But it seems that outsiders have simply figured that anyone who even mentions it are just as bad as those who literally force it on you.
There's a lot of hypocrites. On another forum I'm often on, mentioning MLP basically always, consistently, spawns a shitstorm. There will always be some guy who says that he isn't annoyed with bronies for their hobby, but because they keep shoving it down other people's throats. Yet there hasn't been a single case of that since the fad was new, and the only people throwing it about are the haters, seeking to mock it. It seems that there are special conditions for MLP. If you have a game, a movie or any other show that you are enthusiastic about, you're welcome to reference it, talk about it and recommend it. Not MLP though.
But meh, I haven't had this problem. Most people I know don't watch it. They don't hate on it either, so I don't mind. If they were to start saying shit about it, I'd strongly recommend them to just watch it, but as of now it just seems like they simply aren't interested, which is fine by me.
And yeah this episode was fantastic. Actually this seems like a good episode to show to non-bronies to demonstrate just how action-like it can be. But of course, that would also set some unrealistic standards because there are episodes like Look Before You Sleep and what-not, so yeah
