Thread: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Mmmyeah. It sucks how most people take everything said on the TV seriously. Especially when it's a show that makes each of these sub cultures seem very creepy just to make the whole show more entertaining for the viewers. I am not familiar with the show in question, but from what that little write up on the EQ article said about it, I'm willing to bet they made a show on furries too, and made it about the creepiest ones they could find.


I do not get the banner reference atm. Perhaps it's just my failing memory at 6am.

I used to never dream, and every time I did, it was a nightmare. Now, I dream every day and the dreams are of ponies. This show has literally improved my quality of sleep. This show has taken a chisel and broken my heart of stone and replaced it with one of flesh. Every time I feel vengeful or cross, this show suddenly fills my head and I forget what I was mad about. My friends don't like MLP, but I don't hate them for it; I cant hate anyone anymore. And I'm glad. I am now a better person.

I can't wait until episode 3. I thought today was the 15th, so I looked for it excitedly, then realized it was the 14th.

I actually saw that documentary on furries. Well, my parents were watching it and I was in the kitchen, so basically I was listening to it. Of course my parents thought it was extremely weird, as the show only looked at it from a certain angle. I'm not a furry, but I'm sure not all furries are weird like that. The same can be said for the MLP fans. Not all of us are into shipping and rule 34.

The banner is the MLP gang as the characters from an anime called soul eater. Applejack is Maka, Rainbow dash is Black Star and twilight sparkle is Death the Kid. Actually, their personalities match up pretty nicely.

It's..... Brilliant!

Latest episode was, perhaps a bit exaggerated, though still good imo

Big images are fine, but there's a point where they got so big that I have to scroll over 4x my 25" monitor size to see the whole thing, and can't even make out what the image is supposed to be.

The synopsis for episode 6 came from the same source that has been right about the past few episodes... I'll spoiler it incase you don't want to see it.

Episode 3 was fun. As said, a little exaggerated, but for each episode I'm loving Rarity more and more. I loved the sonic rainboom.

I loved Lesson Zero. It was exaggerated, but it was hilarious and just plain fun. Now to wait for the Halloween/Luna episode.......................

This was unintended, I thought DV scaled all images down to fit layout width. Only thought that the full size image was the result of me using the quick reply box, that images don't scale, a common bug on most vB platforms, and didn't bother to refresh to check anything since I thought everything was fine.

Is there a way to make the image scale down again, or is it the new platform acting differently from the old one? (form what I remember, the old one scaled the images down)

I think the decision to make all the ponies write a letter at the end of each week was a good one. Twilight is barely the protagonist of the regular daily-life episodes anymore, and it's more fitting that they all write a letter together.

And Rarity was hilarious...

I was shocked at how funny rarity was. She used to be my least favorite character, but she isn't so bad now. :3

Costumes! Omfg!
It was fun to look around and see what all the ponies and (especially) the background ponies were dressed up as
For example, Lyra is a mummy, Scootaloo is a werewolf, Apple Bloom Frankenstein's bride, Sweetie Belle a vampire. Waha haaa! I wouldn't mind being bitte- .. Er... Nevermind.

Pipsqueak! A lot of bronies over on ponychan apperantly didn't like him and felt he was forced. Personally, I totally love him. He is definitely best colt. But then again, there's not much competition, is there now? *eyes Snips and Snails*
And he was referred to as "Pip" by Pinkie Pie, I squee'd. Then later, Zecora directly refers to him as Little Pip. I fangasmed so hard. It is just a coincidence, but the main character in Fallout: Equestria also was supposed to be called Pipsqueak, but is actually called Littlepip ^.^

Luna... Meh. I kinda like the fanon version better. Didn't much like her attitude as a royal, condescending and pretty much clueless thing she was in this episode. But then again, who knows what a thousand years on the moon does to someone? And at the end she did turn into a more normal pony, seeing fun and friendship so really I'm not complaining!

WHAT IS THIS "FUN" THOU SPEAKEST OF?

And... Sweetie Belle as a vampire. I'm an Apple Bloom fan, stop competing with her, Sweetie Belle

Idunno, I didn't like the new episode. I'm not one for holiday specials in shows anyway, I guess. It really seemed lacking, especially after some amazing episodes in season one and the two "pilot" episodes of season 2.

It's called a premiere, and I liked this episode. It was a little childish, but I enjoyed it, especially the Luna action.

I didn't like it at first, and I guess I didn't like it generally. But I did like Luna. I related to her in a strange exaggerated way, like I did to Twilight in the first episode of Season 1. And I found the spontaneous ominous voice at inappropriate times kind of funny.

I'm sure the episodes will be good again, beginning with the next episode which will likely be more normal.

So? It's a pretty good show.
I disagree that we are messed up just for liking this show, but if that's your view then that's your view. That being said, it seems like a bad idea to walk into a thread, throw out an insult and back it up with virtually nothing just like that.
"I'm sorry, but it's true." doesn't add anything. I agree it seems weird for a bunch of grown guys to like My Little Pony, but... "Messed up"? That's a little harsh and judgemental I think.

I didn't create this show for little girls, I created it for little girls and their parents--including male parents. It only stands to reason that adult animation fans without children may like it, too.

The belief that boys shouldn't be interested in girl things is the main reason there's hardly anything decent for girls in animation--- or almost any media, for that matter. It's a backwards, sexist, outdated attitude.

In other words, I thought we were past this. I guess now is the time to bring out super old image macros too, then.
