I heard really amazing things about Rebuild of Eva from a colleague who is hooked to them. I'm waiting for all four to come out, and I'll get them on blu-ray or whatever. It's really good to see a sadly-unfinished, but totally amazing anime get the love it truly deserves. Here's hoping the other two are just as good. |

A bit different but non the less brilliant: Persepolis and Waltz with Bashir |
|

Anything of Miyazaki is outstanding. |

Definitely Paprika. It's visually beautiful, and the story has to do with dreaming, and it's just generally really trippy, and it has awesome music. |

I loved princess mononoke. It was pretty good! |

I've seen Howl's Moving Castle and Arashi no yoru ni. I loved both of those movies. |

Here's my list, even though I think most/all of them have been mentioned: |

If you're feeling hungry, take a look at my friend's awesome food blog:
Chai-spiced almond cookies
Sizzling beef with cilantro and hoisin sauce
One I really like and rarely see mentioned is Doomed Megalopolis, a four-part miniseries from the early '90s. It's mythology-inspired horror/dark fantasy set in 20th century Tokyo. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle for sure |
