      Tell me some blu-ray movies I should check out for Christmas.

      I'm a movie-holic who's going on a movie-buying spree after christmas.

      Thanks for the suggestions! I'm definitely going to pick up The Departed, and The Prestige.

      About the types of movies I enjoy - action, maybe even the surreal sort, if you know what I mean. Here's just a few of my favorite movies, if that helps at all.

      - Iron Man
      - Leaves of Grass
      - Inglourious Basterds
      - American History X
      - Silence of the Lambs

      Are there not a lot of movies on Blu-ray? I don't really know the whole blu-ray deal.

      I'd imagine it's not hard to find movies if there's a lot out there.

      But if there isn't. If not. That's a sad feeling.

      If you're not averse to anime, Tekkon Kinkreet is gorgeous. The visual detail would really pop on Blu Ray. Same for Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, though I'm not sure if a Blu Ray has been released in the U.S.

      Blu-Ray is the favored format. With Dark Knight, there were TONS more features on the blu-ray compared to the DVD. With Inception, the DVD is included and the Blu-Ray still has more features for about $1 more (on Amazon).
