Background
Been working on the WILD technique for about a week now. Glad that there is an actual class on it - maybe it help me consolidate everything that I have been reading online. I have had lucid dreams before but had no control over them. My goal is to try all of the techniques to see which one works best for me and will give me control and perfect recall. I have had and still do have problems with sleep walking and I'm interested to see what effect WILD will have on it.

Probably one of my worst nights so far. Went to bed at 10:30pm, did not fall asleep till around 12:30am. Still wanted to try the technique so WBTB and WILD attempt at 3:30am. No problems with relaxing, could feel the body getting heavy and that led nowhere. Tried for about an hour and had to get up for work at 4:30am. Better luck next time I guess.

Plenty of sleep this time. Went to bed around 8:30pm. Woke up at 3:00am and was up for about 10 minutes. Tried WILD and again I had no problems relaxing but I just couldn't fall asleep. Got to a point where I couldn't feel anything touching my body but never progressed from there. Seems like I am too awake. One thing that may be keeping me too awake is the counting - I may change that up next time. WILD attempt was about 30 minutes. Woke up for work at 4:30am. Could not recall any dreams but I do remember waking up in the middle of the night and going right back to sleep. I may have better luck once my sleep schedule stabilizes.

Went to bed again around 8:30 pm. While I set my alarm to go off 2:30 am, I instead woke up naturally at around 1:50am after having a (non-lucid) dream. The dream: I start off driving a semi truck and I'm being chased by someone. I know I am in trouble but don't know why. The highway ahead is blocked so I drive the semi into the frikin forest and hide. That's the condensed version, after that I woke up. I stayed up for another 30 minutes and tried WILD and failed again. Since I woke up after a dream at 1:50am (end of REM cycle) I am going to try to wake up around 1:20am - 1:30am and attempt a WILD so I can try and catch that REM cycle.

Sleeps schedule seems like it's back to normal. In bed at 8:30pm. Woke up to do WILD at 2:30am (awake for about 10 minutes). I did not turn on the lights this time when waking up. I'm back in bed 2:45am and instead of counting I play some ocean sounds on the iphone. Usually my mind is all over the place at this stage but the ocean sounds really helped me mellow out. Still, my WILD attempt failed. I did get these floating sensations that came and went a few times but after 30 minutes of lying in bed I called it quits. I roll over in bed and pass out instantly, lol. BTW, I have been doing RC every time that I think I fail and I they confirm that I'm awake every time. I may have to increase the time that I take to attempt the WILD from 30 minutes to maybe an hour.

Interesting night - in bed by 10pm and woke up to do WILD at 3:30am. Didn't want to be too awake so I only stayed up for a couple minutes. The WILD attempt failed and I just rolled over and went back to bed. Here is where it gets weird - this felt more like a regular dream about becoming lucid and not actually becoming lucid. Anyway - I remember a quick feeling of vibrations and then separating from my regular body. Did a hand check and one of my fingers was cut in half. Had no control and ended up in my back yard. I walk around the house and there are people in the driveway. They are doing something to the garage and I say to them "What are you doing?". At this point I wake up. I had at least 3 more dreams that night since I remember waking up momentarily after each one but for some reason I cannot recall what the other dreams were. The only reason I remember my first dream was because it was pretty vivid.
