Was just checkin' out a few of your pictures High Hunter and noticed the 'Escondido Mountains' ones. Would that be Puerto Escondido? I was just there in February this year...so beautiful!

lagunagirl, I remember some crazy XC meets, but nothing like that

I would have swam across that water and gained a few seconds

Yes, it was my first lesson. I have a little video of when he let me take the controls...holy F!!! HAHAAA! I was freaked out so I told the boys, "I'll go, but if I don't get to go FIRST, I'll chicken out."

So you're learning how to pilot a hang glider? or is that just the first step to learning to hang glide? I never did that

Learning to hang glide. That is his method of getting you used to how tour, etc. before you're on your own. A few flights with him, then jump off his training hill a few times, then, well you know....

Training hills are fun, it's actually how I learned to fly in lucid dreams.

Don't get scared first time you hit an updraft, it's kind of unnerving.

gaining seconds on a meet like that shouldn't really matter. The schools who took that race seriously were pretty lame.
