I'm sure none of you look that bad when you smile, although I always thought that about myself too... maybe it's just a weird thing that people dont think they look good when smiling.

The State was a sketch comedy show from the early 90s with Michael Ian Black, and the dudes from Reno 911.
"And Now I Have Tape All Over My Face" Was a sketch that was set up like a 'scared straight' type of public service thing. A speaker with scotch tape all over his face was telling horror stories, like "Back in high school, we decided to throw a party when my parents were out of town. Somebody brought some beers, we started drinking. Things got a little out of hand, some people got drunk and crazy, and now look at me. I HAVE TAPE ALL OVER MY FACE."
Weird that there's nothing about it on the internet. I remember dorks using the line all the time whenever they screwed up and did something embarassing or stupid that really had no consequences.

The State was pretty damned funny. I still never understood why they took that damn show off the air. Haha.
I don't remember the skit that you are talking about, though, Butler. In fact, the only one that really sticks out in my mind was the one where the guy that looked like a blueberry was being denied the job as a children's television show host, and he gets livid. Lol. Hilarious.
