So would you say that the First Nations' rock paintings drawn on the cliffs at the mouth of Narrows Inlet (which is close by this mountain) disrespects nature in the same way that my symbol (which is as much a part of the land on which I drew it as is possible for a symbol to be)? If I had painted some graffiti gang tag on the side of the cliff, I might see your point, but my symbol contains the essence of that place, my attachment to it and all that it has taught me and will continue to teach. It is more than some

I think all that's important is that you use a non-toxic paint to show respect for the birds, insects and shrubs that may land or grow on the cliff sides. :cookiemonster:

Although, I'm not sure if spray paints can even be non-toxic. Perhaps the paint itself, but aerosol cans are bad regardless.

You could look into making paint the same way as whatever Native bands and tribes did back in the day. That'd be interesting. Then you could paint where ever you like without having to worry about the environment. Hm.. I think I might do that myself.

Personally, I like moss paint. I think your symbol would look quite nice if it grew into moss.
