Well I'll think about taking a few pictures of Minni, Maggot and Button, shall I post them here when I've got them?

Oh yeah, to clear that up. They were about two months old as very scared little kittens, but even though they are very well socialized now, the kitten rescue still tells the adopters that they were feral, just in case that detail should be important. Most of the feral cats that are trapped are spayed or neutered and released, just like you mentioned. (Unless it is impossible for them to back to where they were before. If that happens then they go to a no-kill animal shelter.)

By the way, your cats are beautiful. Red looks great too! After I saw the pictures I couldn't stop thinking about dogs and I ended up dreaming about a giant (talking) dark gray rottweiler.

ah ok, that makes more sense! Yes, when feral kittens are found young enough, they can be socialized and make very nice pets. Feral-turned-tame cats usually appreciate a nice, warm house and cat food more than other cats because they've been to the other side and back. Makes for a nice story

      Dinner Time for the Crew

I think I post more in this thread then any place else on the board, lol... oh well!

Anyway, I was bored so took a few quick videos of feeding time at my house, just for fun.

      Titus demanding food.

      Feeding the cats.

      Feeding the dog.

And that concludes feeding time at Burns' house. Now everyone's bellies are full and they are napping

Titus reminds me of my kitties. He's so adorable!

Red seems so well trained! My uncle's dog Scooby could never wait that long to eat. He always dove in head first.

Yeah...Red is very well trained..clearly. How much repetition did it take before he got the idea.. " I need to wait for permission to eat"?

And maggot is a what... exactly?

Everytime I look through this thread I'm amazed at how pretty all the pets are. I have to wonder though about a pet named Maggot. Please do post JD, I'd love to see what a pet deserved to be named after a fly larva.

And because I haven't posted any pet pix in a while I feel it my duty to contribute to the cuteness abound in this thread. (I hope)

Here are pics of my puppies:

Ok, Maggot is one of my stepdad's cats, I'll post pics when I get them. (thats the main important thing I wanted to say in this post)

Those puppies are adorable, and I like the way you've posted them pictures, thumbs up to you and your pets Vexxy *thumbs up*

And where can I buy a pet Vex Kitten? I mean. Looking at that signiture of yours Vex, those Kittens even look human!

Thanks for the compliments on the pets. I think they're adorable too but I imagine I'm like a parent who thinks their kids are the most beautiful creatures on the planet.

There is only one Vex kitten in all of existence and I'm afraid she's not for sale. Too bad. But if you're looking for pets that look like the one in my sig you'll have to talk to Merlock about that. He's the one who knows where to find them.

Not really... the only time he talks is when he's getting ready to jump up on you so you will hold him. Other than that, he lets Titus do all the talking

      Thank you so much, indescribable!

haha yeah, Red would plow us over to get to the food if we let him, which is why we trained him to wait for permission to eat! And once we give the 'ok', he face plants into the food and has it gone in under a minute. By the way he eats, you'd think we never fed him before!

We started this once he knew 'sit', 'stay', and 'ok' (release word). Once he had those commands down, we just integrated it into feeding times. Now he's to the point that you don't need to say anything to him, he just knows what to do and to wait for the 'ok'. If you make him wait long enough, you can see the drool start to run down his face in anticipation of the food, lol

Burns, I know this is a bit late but, do you name your pets after Final Fantasy?

      Yep

Only I spell Titus' name with a T instead of a D. I spelled it wrong on his Christmas stocking his first year, so the spelling just stuck

If I get a new dog I want to call it Sephiroth. Lol, either that or Naruto. (Naruto isn't from Final Fantasy)

Ah yeah..well that's some good reinforcement clearly. I tried something similar with my Puppy (I was going to say my Pickle, but thought twice) and I see potential..but it's going to take ALOT of practice...
In fact for about a half hour today I was teaching her to balance a little milkbone on her nose..she got it after a while but needs reminders it seems...I've got a bright little one too! ..
hmm, yeah, "sit" and "stay" and also and "dance/stand" (really her twirling on her hind legs :p) and "go to the bed"(she's got a mini little pad that she associated with this command)..Getting somewhere finally! Maybe I'll try and make a conglomeration of her little commands and post a few vids strung together..will take time though...

I find it amazing what can be tought to animals with repetition..
