I raise, breed and show Irish Wolfhounds. I have 4 3 females and one male. His name is "Taranis" (Thunder God in Gaelic) and he is about 36" tall at the shoulder. Sweet as a plum-

It's true, Albi is quite arrogant, but I cannot chase her out. Yah, I have to cage her whenever she comes because of this shit problem and my dog's hatred for birds.

Oh, was it you who made my avatar? Sorry, I remember someone from this site made it, but I couldn't remember who, it's been so long... I really like it though (as you can probably guess, seeing as I've kept it for so long), so thank you again! It makes me think of dreaming, which is kind of perfect for this site. Plus people are harder to recognize when they change their avatars all the time.
But yeah, I quit DV for awhile there (lost interest, and in any case it was too much of a time sucker to keep up) and just recently came back and started checking it from time to time.

I think I've probably already posted pictures (or at least mentioned) my cats in this thread. My family is getting a guide puppy next Sunday, so I'll definitely see about posting a pic of her here.

midnight - black chow lab mix ( best friend ion the world, died a long time ago )
rascal - miniature collie ( our donkey kicked his front leg and broke it, better now but his spirit is gone...also his balls )
sammy - maltese ( the smartest dog i've ever seen, this little guy is truly amazing )

No pets here at the moment.. Though we used to have rabbits, fish, turtles, a hamster, a cavia, .. yeah that's it I think. They've all gone to pet heaven now.

Awww, are you in college or something and can't have pets in the dorm?

I was living in Florida many years ago and found an aligator snapping turtle (baby) walking across the street. I picked it up and brought it to work.

I ended up putting it in an aquarium and feeding it gold fish. I can attest to the wicked moves. Sometimes it happens before your brain can register the catch.

I've got 3 dogs and 3 tarantulas! Here's one of the tarantulas

I have a rare catfish. It is a synadontis angelicus. It is over 30 years old. I first saw him in 1989, and owned him around 1996. He is very used to me and I can fish him out of a big fish tank to move him with no chase and no struggle; he trusts me.
