I know what you mean! When we lived in an apartment and weren't allowed to have pets, I got a fishtank and some plants anyway because I couldn't stand not caring for something!

Sounds like you have quite the zoo at your house :) Hope your renal kitty does well. Sounds like you are working well with you vet to keep him comfortable. Thanks for posting!

I agree which is why I have 4 dogs.. who practically throw a parade for me everytime I come out of the bathroom. :D

She's a pedigreed Yorkshire-Terrier. She's not even 2 months old (02/04/2008). She's so playful and sweet xDDD She even bit my hair today :O

I have a 1 year old calico cat. Her name is Layla. She likes jello and peaches. The other day there was a raccoon in the backyard, and she wanted to go out a meet it. I figure she was the runt of the litter, since she's so small. I don't have any pics right now. Maybe later.

Thanks Kromoh! Yes, he is definitely a big baby. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. If someone ever broke into the house, the worst that would happen to them is they would be licked to death! LOL so much for a watch dog :roll:

they're mean. they always scratch and they think they're your owner. spoiled cats

I like dogs more as pets, cause they're more playful. although I do like my cat when he's nice, and doesn't run away when I try to pet him

Cats are very perceptive. If he thinks you hate him, of course he's going to run away! And cats don't always scratch - they always have a reason to do so, so my advice would be to stop doing whatever you are doing to make the cat scratch you. :P It's always people who don't understand cats or cat behavior who say they hate them. Cats are not small dogs and have completely different communication than dogs. If you are properly reading a cat's body language, you should never get scratched or bitten.

He is probably getting overstimulated. Usually the cat will let you pet it for a few seconds, and then suddenly it turns around and bites (or scratches) you. Am I right?

Pay attention to the cat's body language. Watch the ears and tail. When the ears start laying down slightly or the tail starts twitching, stop petting. Always stop before the cat MAKES you stop. You can slowly work your way up to petting for longer periods by doing this. The cat will know that he doesn't have to make you stop because you will stop on your own. Pay attention next time you do it.

Yep yep yep. I maintain that people don't like cats because they want an eternal baby that will depend on them for survival for the rest of its life. I.e, a dog. :P I would rather have a friend (CAT) than a baby forever.

What kind? What are their names?
2 girl dogs and 1 boy cat. The dogs' names are Achilles and Gypsy, while my cat's name is Cloud.

And what are some things that make your pet unique?
Aside from Gypsy, my pets are very intelligent, it's as if they're human. :P

Do you have any funny pet stories?
Lawts! But I can't recall any of them at the moment, and I'm busy doing HW so...meh. :P

Yeah, they get along perfectly fine together. First of all, we originally had Achilles and Cloud, and my sister got them to get along by, and this is going to make you ROFL, restraining them so that they couldn't get at each other but close enough so that they'd have to recognize each other. After like a day or two they stop hissing and barking at each other and they have been best friends ever since.

Oh, and Gypsy is Achilles's baby, so she was practically raised in the presence of a cat. Oh, and when Gypsy was born, we had her with like 13 other puppies! You could not believe how much of a mess those little guys made for like the first couple weeks. Omg, I feel like gagging just by remembering how bad it smelled. :D
