Burns: Thanks. I didn't breed her. I had intended to mate her with my male Jack Russel who lives elsewhere but the guy I live with never took her over to see him though I pestered him about it nearly every day. Luckily it was another Jack Russel that got her instead of one of the uglier mutt dogs around here when my niece and nephew lost track of her when they were playing outside.
I know those puppies will be little terrors. That breed of dog is hyper and loves chewing and diggine. Hopefully they will inherit some of their mother's docile and sweet temperment. *prays they will*

NeAvO: You can have a puppy as long as you come pick it up. I'd like to learn the shimmer from you in person. :p

Wow, that's lucky another Jack Russell got to her first! The parents temperments play a big role on how the pups temperments will be. It's good the dam is very sweet. Do you know anything about the sire?

Me and my girlfriend are concerned because everytime we take Max (her labrador) out for a walk, people coming up to stroke him always say 'awww I used to have a dog'. In our minds, the word 'used' stands out and we always wonder what happened to their dogs!

*shrug* it got old and died? There are plenty of reasons why people don't get another dog after their previous ones pass. Dogs are a lot of work, much more than cats, and since more people travel for business and work long hours, it's just not fair to have a dog with a schedule like that. My mom and stepdad are good examples of that - they both work 12-14 hour days, and my mom has said that when something happens to their 13 year old golden retriever, that they won't be getting another dog.

Lucky yeah, I was fearing a larger dog had gotten her before the little one had and that there'd be complications during the delivery. She was HUGE those last couple of weeks, poor thing could barely walk around.
The father, he lives about a 15 minute walk from here and he occasionally escapes and roams the neighborhood. That's all I know about him. My male jack, Mojo, used to do the same, he'd roll around on his back until the latch on his harness popped open and he'd be off like a bullet. I had to send him somewhere with more room for him to roam. Darn male dogs..haha. There was another smaller Jack down the street from here named Gordie that would climb over the chainlink fence and roam around too. Determined and smart little fur balls those dogs are. :biggrin:

Your dog is gorgeous Burns. I'd wanted a Doberman when I was younger. They're nice looking dogs. Can't believe your's is that big already!! And he's still a puppy. He'll outgrow that pool soon and then you'll have it all to yourself. ;)

I just saw your pics this evening, Burns! Red is a handsome lil man and will be an impressive adult. He reminds me a lot of my mom's dobie, Zia. Good luck with the OB classes, too. Are you planning to show him?

heh yeah, too bad he thinks he's a lap dog. Always wants to be sitting ON you when you're on the floor. Thankfully he's not allowed on the furniture or bed!

Thanks, EagleEye! :) Nope, not showing or breeding him. We wanted a pet only. And even if we wanted to, we couldn't - he's cryptorchid (only 1 testicle descended)... He's gonna lose 'em sooner rather than later anyway :wink:

Thanks, Michael! :D Of course, I have to agree that Titus is awesome-looking, and he's the only mutt out of the three, lol. He's got quite the personality too, he actually begs me to brush their teeth before bed! hehe they are trained well. :)
