Well, I've had problems in the past remembering my dreams. I've heard it said that if you dont awake directly from an REM cycle, the next one will erase it and you'll be buggered by morning when you wake. I've always been too deep a sleeper to just "wake up" from a dream, and the whole drinking lots of water thing only works once a night for me anyways. Now, since christmas break I've been living back at home instead of at the dorms, and my room gets really hot. That or I'm just so hot natured. Anyways, I got me an oscillating fan to put next to the bed, and since it was too short by itself, I placed it on top of a 9mm ammo box. This makes it extremely unsturdy. Well, during the night when I'm experiencing REM, that's when I'm the most active in my sleep, I'll move around, splay my arms out, kick with my legs, whatever. Anyways, I end up knocking this big fan over about 3 times a night and it always wakes me up with the racket it creates. So that means every time I have an REM experience, I'm gonna knock this bloody thing over. I end up writing down whatever dream I'd had and setting the fan back up on the ammo box. This had been inadvertant until today when I finally realized that this is working great.
