      Finally Got Dream Sign!

I haven't put any posts in a while, but I've found my dream sign! Whenever I am going somewhere I want to go, I find it almost impossible to do things that should otherwise be easy. Such as opening doors, climbing over very small fences, sometimes even leaving a small area. It did work last night and I became lucid, even though I couldn't really do anything differently than when I wasn't lucid. Got any tips for using this? Because I just can't get it to work.

Using it? The best way I can put it is for you to just plain be aware of it. KNOW in your mind that opening doors and stuff like that is obviously easy, and if you can't do it, you MUST be dreaming!! Drill it into your head. Awareness is key.

I wish I had dream signs like that, lol.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Are you asking if we have any tips for how to properly use dream signs? If so, then the only answer I could give is that dream signs are merely things that tend to re-appear in dreams so that by you seeing it, feeling it, tasting it, or hearing it...you'll remember that you're dreaming and become lucid. Hmm, maybe I'm not understand your question.
Things are not as they seem

Sorry for the kind of unspecificness. What I mean is I have the dream sign occur many times, but I just can't seem to realize that I am dreaming. I want to know what the best way to teach myself to realize this is. All I can think of is making opening doors some kind of reality check. But it only happens in a dream when I really want to leave a place.

I thought you became lucid? If you're lucid, you should know exactly what is happening, that you are dreaming, and you should be able to call upon every memory you normally have. You should be able to remember what you've 'dreamed' all this time.
