i use to set the alarm in the middle of the night to get used to get lighter sleep there, and perhaps even wake up to make it easier to recall.
I don't know if this really works, but i do it anyway.
If you don't wish to set an alarm during the night (might disturb others, etc.), other members have tried drinking lots of water right before bed in the hopes that they'll wake up during the night to empty their bladder.
