Yeah, I was recalling a few dreams every night and have had a hard time this week. Last night I only remembered one and that was after my alarm went off this morning and I fell back asleep. I did get into a pretty extreme fight with my girl on Saturday, so I'm assuming that was a main reason for less recall this week. Stress sucks

Who cares, if you have had good recall in the past, then nothing to worry about. I hardly recall 3-4 dreams a night unless I am very attentive with it. My motto is, "If I can recall each lucid I have, then my recall is good enough." Lucid dreams have a certain feel to them, you sort of 'know' you had one, think about your way of confirming it is a lucid, whether it be a specific RC and then remember back to see if you actually used that RC while asleep. Forget normal dreams, unless peices flood to you as you wake. I have recorded a little over 80 dreams since November 20th when I first began training recall. Since then, I have had my good days and recently I have just simply not even tried to recall much, therefore I received only dreams in which came to me automatically. So I write those down, I also have gotten quite a bit of lucids since then too. One thing is though, that I hardly can recall anything after a full night sleep. -.-

So I am saying, your fighting a losing battle obsessing over recall, it will be sufficient when needed. Have confidence you will remember if you had a lucid dream that night or not, and you will. Recall in my opinion is annoying, and honestly I have trained myself not to care about my recall anymore, I have it trained enough that I will remember the sufficient things.

I dont really agree with you there, but I guess everyone has their own opinions. I do agree when you mentioned to quit obsessing over your recall, but you should never quit when trying to remember them. give your head about half an hour to look for the dreams and hopefully you will get something. also, don't get frustrated if you forget your dreams. that will probably make it worse.

I agree, you should always try to remember your dreams even if they are not lucid. It helps when trying to attempt a lucid dream.

I've gone through a few dry spells of a couple weeks where I just lose dream recall, but it always comes back. Just concentrate before you go to sleep that you want to remember them, and get enough sleep and you should be fine.

Yeah it's just down to stress. It isn't like your recall got up in the middle of the night and thought, "Fuck him, I'm going somewhere else."

      Totally sig'd.

Well, for me, stress always did the opposite, increasing my recall. During holidays, I usually don't recall as much dreams as during schooltime.

Maybe try some good ol' autosuggestion?

try to get some more sleep and set the alarm and write the dream down.
i use to set the alarm but sometime i forget to write it down, or just to tired, the it's no idea setting the alarm in the first place.
