How Do I Use My Dreamsign?

One of my major dreamsigns is breathing under water. I do it in dreams very often but I never actually realize it when I'm in the dream. How can I make myself realize that I AM dreaming, even when I see something super extraordinary I usually don't go lucid.

Well, this might not make any sense whatsoever, maybe you could RC everytime you drink water? It's not the same as breathing under water, but it's as close as you could get... Do you think that would help?
