      Different beds and dream recall

Ok, so the last week or so my dream recall suddenly stopped and ive been having no dreams, not even small fragments. So last night im lying in my bed but i cant sleep, so i decide to sleep in the guest room bed (Which is more comfortable than my own for some reason). I ended up remembering four dreams in one night (Most ive ever remembered in one night) and they were kinda long dreams too. Im considering abandoning my crappy bed and moving into the nice guest room bed =). Is the fact that i slept on another bed other than my own, that I got my dream recall back?, or is it because the guest room bed is more comfortable.

      Probably both!

Since you're not sleeping where you normally do, you might also be sleeping lighter (less deeply) which could help with your recall.

Thanks for the replies, I guess this finally explains why i had my first lucid dreams back in march when i moved into a new home. Im guessing if i keep sleeping in the guest room then I would get used to it and move to a different part of the house, anyways thanks alot, this really encourages me to have more hope in lucid dreaming knowing how much more easier it will be now =)

And when you get used to the guest room, go back to your normal room! Or maybe flip the matress? Move the bed? I find sleeping in one place too long too... Stoic. I like changing things up every now and then.
