      A little off balance...

Well, my latest dream sign which has begin occuring in quite a few dreams is that I am off balance - it's quite hard for me to walk and I am embarrassed (in the dream of course).

In one dream I was in my old high school, with lots of people in the hallway, and I was trying to simply walk down the hallway. My legs feel crippled, almost like it takes this powerful strength to walk correctly. At the same time, I am very off balance with my walk, I am stumbling around.

Then last night, I was at a house with a bunch of people in a dream. One of them asked me to pick up a small coffee table and move it over near them. While holding it, I tried to hurry over with it to them in hopes they don't notice I am greatly off balance and about to fall over. I basically fall forward and act like I am setting the coffee table down, but am really using it as a walker to stop my fall. But then, as I recall, in the same dream shortly after my walking was fine, because I was walking down a road. It seems like it happens when there is a crowd of people around, now that I think about it.

Looks like I'll have to try and capitalize on this lately recurring dream sign. Hopefully I can get the thought implanted in my mind well enough so that I remember it while in the next dream of course. My old recurring dream sign, me showing people that I can in fact levitate, no longer occurs anymore. Guess I showed too many people.

Anyways, I know it's common for people to experience difficulty when running or punching in a dream, but do any of you experience this awkward balance at times when simply trying to walk in a dream?

Honestly, I think having "being off balance" as a dream sign would be great! It's readily identifiable and it doesn't occur "often" in your real life!

I personally have never experienced having awkward balance in an LD.. but now that I said this.. I'll probably end up crawling around in my next lucid! :p

There was one time I can remember in particular when I was lucid that everything just suddenly became all distorted and it was almost as if I was drunk. The walls were shifting and I couldn't really focus. It eventually ended, but I really have no idea what caused it.

It would be a great dream sign to have because it would be fairly obvious. Just remind yourself before you go to bed that if you find yourself stumbling around, stop what you're doing and check to see if you're dreaming. Also, it would be a good idea to come up with a plan for when you become lucid.

My first lucid dream was very similar! It felt like the first time I had ever used legs! I kept stumbling from one side of the room to the other, evntually finding balance after about 3 minutes!
I figure I can describe it since I have a choice in the matter
