      Fail to recognize dream signs.

How can i recognize dream signs? Last night i dreamt i had adopted 2 wolf pups that looked like kittens that were in danger of a mother cat, whos babies were 2 monkeys hanging from her belly like bats. I dream of this weird stuff all teh time and never recognize it. I also dreamt that if you put a lighter in a bucket fo water, then put a peice of plastic in it, the thing would blow up.

I know, usually we just tend to go along with whatever crazy stuff our subconscious throws at us!

I would suggest going through your dream journal (if you have one) and trying to find any patterns in your dreams. Maybe you dream about a certain location or a certain person on a regular basis. Once you find something like that, you can tell yourself that next time you see that place/person, you will know it's a dream.

thanks for your comments. I seem to be having quite a few dreams of the same type of enviornment a printing plant where I worked some twenty or more years ago..I must have at least ten or more similar ones. I am searching for my locker which I never find or my clothes or tools. Some how I never can catch the fact that it is a dream. It feels very frustrating when I wake up as I should be conscious of the dream location but it just gets by me.
Any suggestions to help with this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks, sea bee (a sailor forever)

I would suggest every night telling yourself that you will know it's a dream if you find yourself in that location. Doing this every night is key. Try saying it in your head, saying it outloud, and also writing it a few times. Good luck!

I posted this else where too, but last night I actually dreamed I was talking about lucid dreams and I STILL didn't pick up on the fact I was dreaming. I'm looking at it that at least the idea of lucidity is entering my subconscious.

Yes that's actually very good. Looks like you are on the road to becoming lucid.
