Early success, brief lucidity, dreamsign : dead people!

Had an early succcess the other night. I'm in a crowd and turn around and see my father, (he died just over 2 years ago). He has appeared fairly regularly in my dreams so i have been trying to train myself to recognize seeing him as a dreamsign by repeating it over many times before i go to sleep. As soon as i see him this time, a warm feeling comes over me and i smile to myself and say "i am dreaming".

      Hm

      Hm..

Yes.. deceased loved ones as a dream sign wouldn't normally be guessed as a normal one..

I'm not sure wether or not to say that you should move on, or that it's good to see a loved one that passed away in your dreams for the hearts aid..

Interesting.. definitly something I will have to discuss with my clique, for I can't weight out the decision of this..

Do you like seeing him often in your dreams? Or is it hurtful..? Does he talk back to you..?

      Very interesting..

Did it bring a sense of closure to you? Or did it re-open an old wound.

Funny you should say that... Mine is laying dead in the driveway at this very moment. That's what I get for driving an '81 Chevy Citation, I guess. I have to say, though, I've never really dreamed of my car... oh, wait. Yes I have. It was sort of a symbol though. I'll have to post that dream sometime.

I have a suggestion. Why don't you tell your father in your dreams about your progress in lucid dreaming, that way you don't forget that you are dreaming. Then you change the dream and take your dad to whatever he enjoyed doing...fishing, golf, watching a professional baseball game, whatever. If you are into adventures like many people on the forum seem to be, you can take your Dad along...he can be a wizard and you can be a warrior in tag team battles!

Thanls for the advice everyone, most appreciated, i'll try all of these if i get the opportunity again. I do see my father quite often in my dreams, but i don't mind it, it is actually a good feeling. That is funny about your car tim, good one!

My grandmother was in a dream recently. She died about ten years ago. She with with the family and when we had to leave to go somewhere I said, "come on Granny, let's go" to which she replied, "I can't go with you." I asked, "Why not?" She then smiled and said,"Because I am dead." It was comforting to see her so realxed and happy, but kinda weird when she told me she was dead.

Usually dreaming is how the departed speak to the living. I saw River Phoenix on the aniversary of his death this year. (HE was freaking beautiful.)

When my grandma died, I began studying astral travel so I could leave my body to visit her and I did too, I saw her looking about 30 and she said, "Everything's going to be okay."

Sometimes seeing dead people can also mean our anxieties and fears about death...seeing sharks also means a fear of death.
