Hm.. |

Had an early succcess the other night. I'm in a crowd and turn around and see my father, (he died just over 2 years ago). He has appeared fairly regularly in my dreams so i have been trying to train myself to recognize seeing him as a dreamsign by repeating it over many times before i go to sleep. As soon as i see him this time, a warm feeling comes over me and i smile to myself and say "i am dreaming". |

Did it bring a sense of closure to you? Or did it re-open an old wound. |

seeing deceased family members is a useful and helpful dreamsign. it has worked for me with my grandpa, my dog, and my car. |

I have a suggestion. Why don't you tell your father in your dreams about your progress in lucid dreaming, that way you don't forget that you are dreaming. Then you change the dream and take your dad to whatever he enjoyed doing...fishing, golf, watching a professional baseball game, whatever. If you are into adventures like many people on the forum seem to be, you can take your Dad along...he can be a wizard and you can be a warrior in tag team battles! |

Thanls for the advice everyone, most appreciated, i'll try all of these if i get the opportunity again. I do see my father quite often in my dreams, but i don't mind it, it is actually a good feeling. That is funny about your car tim, good one! |

My grandmother was in a dream recently. She died about ten years ago. She with with the family and when we had to leave to go somewhere I said, "come on Granny, let's go" to which she replied, "I can't go with you." I asked, "Why not?" She then smiled and said,"Because I am dead." It was comforting to see her so realxed and happy, but kinda weird when she told me she was dead. |

East Texas...where men are men and sheep are afraid
Usually dreaming is how the departed speak to the living. I saw River Phoenix on the aniversary of his death this year. (HE was freaking beautiful.) |
