Thread: Dream Signs

The other day I was looking through my dream journel. It has at least a dozen dreams. I was looking for similar dream signs, but could find none. Is that bad?

No, that's not bad. I personally don't think that everyone has a dreamsign. I don't think I do. So don't worry about it, keep looking, and if you don't find anything it's fine.

Don't forget that a dreamsign is not necessarily limited to a particular character or orbject. A dreamsign could also be a particular event, setting, situation or emotion that you may feel consistently in dreams.

Try reading the journal again with this in mind. You might come across some similarities. And if not, don't worry, either one will eventually manifest itself or your determination to have a lucid dream will carry over into a dream which will give you a cue.

You could also try doing the lucid task of the month posted on the forum - this will give you a goal or something to try and dream about.

It's not bad, not every one has dream signs, just remember everyones minds work differently. (I'm not implying your crazy )

I've just begun to pay close attention to dreams again, after a long time away from it. I had a fun dreamsign last night, I believe.

I was bicycling down a steep hill in winter, in a dark industrial city, and flew off the road. I crashed into the pitched roof of an old church or something, but just smiled about it. I was completely unscathed, but the roof was destroyed from the impact. I didn't realize I was dreaming, but I did notice it was pretty unusual to have destroyed a roof with my body while remaining uninjured.

I'm trying to understand the distinction between a dream sign and a reality check. Obviously, this was a perfect opportunity to recognize I was dreaming. Is this an example of what people call a dream sign?

I don't think everyone has dreamsigns, i don't believe they're very common because 90% of the times, I know why i dreamt something because i thought about it during the last, day, week, month etc. For example, last week i had a dream (not written in my journal, cause i was in vacation with my parents, and as we were in the same room, it would have been anyway hard for me to concentrate on writing my dreams down in the mroning) about an ex-classmate who i haven't seen for more that 2 years and haven't thought about for nearly as long. I was shocked remembering that i had had a dream about her, but then it came to me - the day before i ate banana ice cream for the first time (it was love at fisrt taste, it;s my fav now...but can't seem to get my hands on any ) and i remembered that banana was her fav fruit. I thought of her for just a second, then voila! a dream was born in my head...
Although...all my life, i have remembered having at least a doezen dreams about museums And in the last year i've dreamt at least 3 times about the end of the world...(note that i've been keeping a DJ since mid August).
