Can exhaustion affect recall, and what else can affect it?

so pretty much..
can physical exhaustion after your recollection of dreams?
because I've been getting like..
6 to7 hours a night of sleep
but..
I've been working long days at work
doing manual labor
so I'm always exhausted
and I just started the long days for the past 10 days
and I've been completely burnt out every night before I went to bed
and..
I've had almost zero dreams that I've remembered since then..
whereas I normally remember 3 or so a night
and while I doubt too many people read this..
just...
could exhaustion affect dream recall?
and also...
Are there any other factors that would contribute to not remembering dreams as well?
I would be forever in your debt if you could answer these for me..
because it is growing increasingly frustrating that I can't remember any more dreams..

Yeah totally.

Im going through exams. And so the stress is keeping me awake. I fall asleep at like 1 am and wake up at 7. I remember only faded scenes from dreams. I usually have good recall. 4 a night or so. But when i am really tired, i remember little to nothing. Don't worry about it.

I haven't tested this (because i will be getting enough sleep come 2 or 3 days). But i would assume that you can develop recall for nights like that as well. Try writing down anything you can remember. If you are going to always be exhausted you might as well give it a shot. Write down feelings you get when you wake up. If you had fun dream..but cant remember it, write down that you feel playful. Write down anything. Eventually i would assume it would get stronger.

I think it helps it, especially if the last thing you think is about remembering dreams. All of my LD's happen when I am really sleepy and fall asleep real quick.
