      Dream recall being annoying

Ok, so last week, I had about 5 very vivid dreams. They were really interesting.
At the start of this week I decided to keep a dream journal, and hopefully get back into lucid dreaming.

Well this week so far, I have had 5 sleeps, 2 dreams of which I can remember (one was a bit vivid, but I couldnt remember it as soon as I woke up, and one that I can remember almost nothing about) and 3 nights that I cant remember anything.

This obviously annoys me as just when I start keeping a DJ, I cant remember my dreams

Is this a psycological thing because I started a DJ, or just bad luck and I will start remembering them soon.

I usually can remember dreams pretty well and always have. I havent been stressed (at least I dont think so) and defiantely havent been on drugs.

Tonight I plan on setting my alarm for about 3 pm to do WBTS (I think) or whatever the one is called where you wake up for a while, read some LD stuff and then go back to sleep.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

      I had similar problems.
The problem was not that I could not remember dreams but rather when I could remember them.

It's like having a conversation with a friend about a movie and you can't remember what's the main actor. Now matter how much you try at the time. Later in the day, the name comes to you, out of the blue, when you have forgoten about it.

My dream recalls occur during the afternoon. Hours after I wake up. Trying to remember right after I wake up does not yield an immediate response. I do get a delayed answer. In the afternoon.

This could be similar with you.

Thanks for the advice, but I dont think so.

Usually I can remember dreams extremely well, as soon as I wake up.

Just since I decided to keep a dream journal, I have stopped remembering them. Its not that I remember them later, I dont remember them at all.

You may be right though. Thanks for the advice.

I have exactly the same thing... Well almost exactly, normally I remember one or two dreams very well, but now that I have started a dream journal, I can remember 5 or 6 dreams but they're so vague, like: it was something with my friend, candy and she giving assignments... How's that for vague?! I hope this will get better after a few days and maybe with you too.... Maybe it's just the adjusting? (when did you start?)

I just started keeping a dream journal two days ago. For both the nights since, I have remembered nothing except for a very very vague dream this morning. All I remember of the dream was a brown-haired kid telling me something about eggs and jars and me thinking it was so wise.

The weird thing is I usually could remember dreams pretty well. Maybe we're trying too hard to remember our dreams and not letting them come naturally.

i think it is because you started your dream journal, because if you look at mine then you will see that it started off with quite bad recall, but then it gets better, the link is in the bottom bar.

Last night I had an extremely vivid dream.

I dreamt that I put my guitar in an underground car park of a hotel and then forgot about it, and when I went to get it my friend had stolen it and cut it in half
