Thread: What is YOUR dream sign?

My dream signs are people that are related to me. Im never alone in dream.
I never meet people that i don't know or so.

Here’s one of my favorites.

I’m chewing gum. I try to take the gum out of my mouth, but it sticks to my teeth. No matter how much I pull, it keeps stringing out like taffy, until it feels like my teeth are coming out with it.

Another is, I try to walk, but I can't separate my feet much, like my shoelaces are tied together.

Whenever either happens, and they both do fairly frequently, I immediately know I'm dreaming. They both create anxiety, which I think is the key to a good dreamsign, because then it really gets your attention!

By the way, you can work on programming your dreams so that tried and true dreamsigns occur more often.

One dreamsign that's popped up a couple times is me having the abillity to repair large planes and jets after they crash. Odd. o_0

So far, I found I use a computer in my dreams as often as I use one in RL.:p

I'm new to LD, but at least once a week I have dreams about tornados, so I guess my DS is a Tornado!

My dreamsign is remembering the real world, if I just loose focus of the dream and remember anything that leads to dreamviews then BAM! I'm as lucid as a cow with a cowbell!

I have a amazingly convenient dream sign:

Any time I'm in my house/neighborhood, I become randomly lucid almost immediately. Don't really know why.

This is more of a trigger than a dream sign I suppose.

I had a few dreams (including an LD) where my dream sign was living action figures. I guess i should lay of the Toy Story...

'The Simpsons', I have found is a reccuring sign of mine.

I posted in this thread a long time ago, but my dreamsigns have probably changed by now.

I commonly see Jack Black in my dreams, along with some teachers from school. Dreams of being in shops are quite common too.

My dream sign is a deer. It's blue like a ghost, i see it, i know im dreaming.

that's supposed to be normal around my age.

I think I found my dream sign...

It seems that sometimes when I dream everything starts out somewhat real. But then as the dream progresses it just turns out to be a video game of some kind.

Like yesterday I had a dream that me and my cousin was racing down a dirt road and then when we got to the highway we started jumping over hills and it would do that camera thing and go into slow motion...it was pretty cool

Water. Lakes, ponds, oceans, you name it. I am on it, around it fishing in it or boating on it. At least one water dream per week as long as I can remember almost always positive and I wake up happy.

I grew up up around water all the time. River or lake in our back yard and my parents both born on an island I would visit all the time. I can't seem to get enough water in my dreams.

When I set any intention to my dreams, seeing this happening is a perfect dream sign to me. I usually remember that I set the intention to dream this, thus I know it is a dream.

Another thing is a false awakening. When this happens, I always can see around corners, which makes me aware that I am still dreaming.

My dream sign is quite cliche': Falling. When I was young at the end of every dream I would fall down my old house's stairs, but now I enter almost all of my dreams by falling through my bed.

Here's my basic list, a lot of which are pretty standard dream topics:

Airports/airplanes, especially if there's a problem (either with the airplane or me getting through security, etc).

Houses I lived in growing up.

Ex-girlfriends.

Continually running late to an appointment.

Being back in school and remembering I forgot to drop a class and the final's coming up and I haven't been to the class since the beginning of the term.

Digital watches (the numbers)
Prices, letters etc.

Mostly they would be:

-flying
-nakedness
-strange locations
-altered rooms in my house
-Driving ridiculously fast... (did that once IRL and vowed to never do it again..now when I do it, it's a dream)

Those are off the top of my head, i've got to sort my journals, there are many more.

Guns. without a doubt. Holding a gun, shooting someone, being shot or shot at myself, watching people get in gun fights etc... guns pop up all the time in my dreams, and i never recognize them as a dream sign. I guess because very rarely there is a shooting in my neighborhood. so when it happens in a dream i just think "fuck man, not again".
just need to find some way to RC in my dreams. never do it unless I already know Im dreaming/lucid.

Lately, my dreamsign has been parties. I think this is because I have not been going to parties over the last couple months, and my subconscious misses it. They are easy to notice because I'm on probation curfew and I'm like, "wtf am I doing out this late?"

It's caused a few LDs that have ended up really good and vivid.

Usually my dreamsign is teeth falling out, chillin with old friends, and being at my old house.

i have three: galloping on all fours (extremely common), being at work, being back in college.

I'm terrible at dreamsigns, but my last lucid I noticed a "camera" change... My dream went from 1st person to 3rd person perspective, and that triggered me to question the reality and do a RC into a sucessful LD.

I'm hoping I can get better at this. 3rd person perspective is really common in my dreams.

Being in random places around the house that for some reason make me lucid.

nakedness this one time, i dreamt i was in a french class at my ld school, everyone was naked and i said to myself, "is this a dream?" then i said" not worht the risk, if its not ill look a fool" despite everyone being naked xD
