Thread: What is YOUR dream sign?

my dream sign would probably be water or my hometown and my old friends. im always either in my hometown doing some thing odd or reliving a memory only to play it differently or my dream focuses aroud water. whether its a pool, a lake, a river, a stream, or even a magic puddle! it always has to do with water.

why is it always water? im guessing that having dreams about your past is normal tho. what does water as a dream sign mean?

many of my dreams are just a mix of random stuff. a dream i had last night, i was at a party and the room was huge. there was lights everywhere and a whole bunch of people. i didnt want to be in a crowded area so i ran outside and there was this shallow pool of water. maybe 1-2ft deep and it was held in by a small wall of this soft but sturdy rock. idk why but i layed down in it and felt extremely comfortable. a couple people walked through the doors and i was startled and embarrased. i flopped around and tried to cover myself with a medieval druid robe that felt very natural on me but the two people didnt notice me at all. after they disappeared inside the party room, i got up and ran off completely dry. i was on a street trying to convince a friend of mine to follow me to the pool of water that i found earlier. i led him through a few back alleys and came upon the pool again. as soon as i sw it i felt instantly relaxed and saw that it looked like it was not just 2 ft deep now but deep enough to dive even though it was still as wide as it always was. the party room was dark but you could still hear people in there. i didnt get in the pool but just stood there staring at it. still relaxed. i knew that if i dove down in it, when i would come back up i would be at a lake or another little pool. i forgot about my friend for a little while and when i looked over he was still there. i was still in the druid cloak. the sky was dark and cloudy but you could see clearly. i visualized diving down in there and seeing the walls clean and grey. i visualized that i got scared and came back up to realize i was in a different place. undescribable. i snapped out of my trance and dove in the pool of water.

thats my dream. i was completely lucid. even though i dont use techniques like looking at your hands, i can still know when im lucid and can naturally do anything. although what i plan to do is just go along with what situation my subconsience gives me and work it out to the fullest extent.

By practicing in waking life and reminding yourself that whenever you see a body of water you want to remember to do an RC (MILD). It&#39;s the purposeful intention to remember that is key. Keep that task in mind - just as you would if you wanted to remember to tell some one something the next time you see them - and do an RC when you see a body of water in real life. Make it a habit and it&#39;ll spill over into your dreams eventually.

I don&#39;t know. Perhaps it&#39;s because water is such a basic need of every living being. I know some would argue that it&#39;s "because we evolved from water creatures and our instinctive (primal) memory can come out in dreams and crisis situations."

Personally, I don&#39;t subscribe to that theory but I thought I&#39;d put it out there, as it has been suggested before.

I only have one dreamsign.

I, for some reason, am placed in my old school, in my dreams... even though I haven&#39;t been there for years... I&#39;m in it almost every night.

that sounds ... scientific. im actually suggesting that water is a common dream sign maybe because it has to do with someting personal like fascination or a near death expirience. but yeah. im open to any comments

This one is really good and better to use with RC&#39;s then water.
Remembering to check if your dreaming if i you see a cute girl is so natural.

My dreamsigns usually revolve around extreme natural areas, like vast mountain ranges or bodies of water. Or else they tend to be natural disasters like tornadoes, blizzards, and especially floods. And snow is another major theme, so I guess water in general.

I think mine is slo-mo.... Oddly enough, a few of my dreams recently have had me moving in slow-mo... one of those made me go lucid.

The usual stuff, like lights that don&#39;t work, doorknobs that just turn and turn, are dreamsigns that I&#39;ve never used successfully.

But, living in the big city, I dream of tunnels, elevators, being in big buildings, and looking for public bathrooms, all have been dreamsigns that work for me.

Someone else mentioned nightmares, and even tho&#39; I don&#39;t have them often, I have used them. Also, non-lucid dream sex is a good dream sign for me.

I read yesterday that a faulty light switch means SOMETHING...can&#39;t remember what, but i think it was good...do a search...any faulty appliance apparently means this

or a door breaking rite off when you try opening it, like in my one dream I tried to push a door open and it broke off at the hinges

#1 A lot of time&#39;s, my subconscious mind will literaly throw me off
a high cliff, to make me lucid. I will always become Lucid once in the air.

#2 The threat of imminent horrifying death, will always make me Lucid.
And I love facing situations like that in Lucid Dreams.(I am Fearless when Lucid)

#3 Anytime I get in an elevator, it will fall. And I will become Lucid instantly.

I guess three, is almost like two, but to me, not really.

I have more, but those three will work every single time.

I almost forgot, sometimes dream characters will actualy tell me I am dreaming&#33;
And I will become Lucid. I will post the story, of the first time this happened,

Water crops up in a lot of my dreams.

17% of them to be precise.

I think I finally identified a dream sign that&#39;s in nearly every one of my dreams.
Most of my dreams take place at my old neighborhood.
Now if only I could get myself to question it in the dream..

hey by reading here i just relized that most of my dilds were induced out of looking on the computer&#39;s clock (not to RC but to check the time and encounter a funny time). does this count as a dream sign?

-Seeing multiple suns/moon in an oddly vivid sky.

-The feeling of being rejected by my best friend.

-Looking into a mirror and seeing myself.

seeing the word "LOL" superimposed on my field of vision.

weird anyone?

Two main dreamsigns I know of.

One: Being at home. This makes no sense whatsoever but I'm often at home when I realize that I'm dreaming.

Two: Green places. Parks, trees, and being generally surrounded.

Often times my dreams start out with me looking down at my feet and I instantly become Lucid.

I have several:

Being in a large house that is larger inside than is possible, has an impossible number of stairs, some leading nowhere, some strangely shaped, and an impossible number of rooms that I am overly eager to explore.

I am poor in reality and money is always an issue. I normally have no money at all in dreams.

Characters from books and movies appearing. This morning I slept an extra hour and almost got lucid as I was hugging Death's horse Binky and telling him how pretty he was. I love horses.

Nearly always NOT being in the dream body and watching my character, which hardly ever looks like me, talk and act with the other dc's as if I am a camera.

Being in school suddenly and having no clue what subject we are being tested on and fearing that I'll be harrassed if I don't somehow understand wtf we are learning.

Suddenly directing the dream.

A new dreamsign ive been seeing, Being in a forest.

I'm in a car in my dreams a lot, or there are zombies... But I almost always see someone I know from school.

I have no idea what my dreamsign is

The last two times I became lucid, I always try to fly out the window or door to somewhere else. But, for some odd reason, I haven't been able to break glass. One time I became lucid, then tried to fly out the window and smacked into the glass, cracking it severely. I lost lucidity and told myself I made a horrible mistake. So, I guess one of my dreamsigns could be the inability to break glass...
