The more I gaze....the more I crave to see
When you next stand at cliff's edge....will you finally learn to fly?
Are any of them people who are no longer alive? For me I reached a point where any time my mom or dad show up, or a grandpa or grandma, I usually realize they're not alive anymore, though it doesn't always trigger lucidity. My sister lives far from here now, and yet she keeps appearing. I'm pretty sure if I would train my mind to see some of them as dream signs and do reality checks any time they show up it probably would cause lucidity. And yet I was doing that a couple of years ago, but somehow it never worked. It usually isn't until I wake that I fully realize the facts. But strangely I do often understand that the person I'm talking to is actually dead. At first this used to freak me out, but I've gotten used to it and now it's often nice to be able to speak with them. This has made me ponder the fact that in certain ways people you're close to never die, they live on in your inner world. Maybe that's why I sometimes speak about them in the present tense, though people always like to remind me they're gone now. That's only true in a physical sense though. |

Well.....I honestly don't know many times. Last night's DC was someone I worked for over 40 years ago. Most times they are folks I have not seen in many years and yet there they are looking very real and dealing with me in some mundane but real manner. |

I use this very thing for dream signs that trigger lucids. The trick is during waking hours to program your mind with specific thoughts. When my good friend spent 5 years in prison he would still show up in dreams. My father passed away but still shows up in dreams. During quite meditation I would think over and over, "if I see dad I am dreaming. I will realize I am dreaming if I see dad." |

Thanks for that sivason. I started working hard on that yesterday as I do think this will end up being my strongest trigger. |
