      Missing signs

It's been weird the last week. I've been lucid about every other night, but when I look back I'll become lucid in a perfectly normal dream and then have a dream way out in left field with all manner of weird things happening and it will never occur to me that it's a dream. The other night I was just talking to a DC and out of the blue I told him that I was dreaming, but last night I was having extremely weird dreams with friends and family members acting completely out of character, people who have been dead for years showing up, and impossible happenings going on like the person stepping out of the television when I was watching a program and materializing in flesh and blood in my living room. None of that was enough to make me lucid. Now tonight I'll probably be dreaming about grocery shopping and go lucid because the pickles are on the wrong shelf or something.

I feel like you normally have out there dreams when you are thinking less about reality. For instance: your mind notices that you are pretty aware and decides that the dream scene should be something that won't make you lucid. When it gets one or two things wrong you notice then. But when You are in a complete daze and not thinking about reality, you are Indiana Jones fighting Voldemort in Mordor and you must touch the "Easy" button behind him to destroy his legs, because he can't kill you if he doesn't have legs. Not to say that you are not having a vivid dream, or that you are not in control of what is going on, you just aren't using the part of your brain that knows about LDs.

I didn't think easy buttons worked in dreams.

What?! I use it all the time! It is there, just look for it.

(This is actually one of the mystical items I want to find in an LD and have in my magical dream backpack at all times )

Missed another one last night. A talking Puma that was acting like a dog, wagging its tail and wanting a belly rub.

Yeah, my dream self knows how to take people to the future now. I took my wife to the future two nights in a row without being lucid.
