I typed all my dreams, and my recall hasn't been affected in any way, shape, or form. In fact, if I were to write it down on a notebook, I'd have to buy a lot of notebooks just to cover the content in my dreams. I also type faster than I physically write, meaning I can get as many thoughts out, and organize them properly. Writing, at least to me, seems too chaotic and mismatched.
And with electronic data, you don't have to worry about paper burning or damaging. And when you store it digitally, you can easily access it because you have more options at organizing your dream signs with the tag feature and such.
Just a personal opinion. Even before I started to use a more sophisticated DJ system made by Banhurt, I typed my dreams in a word document that was at least 110+ pages, and this was when I was first on Dream Views. My recall, when I'm really motivated, can probably go into 5 pages single spaced, maybe more than that, but I usually don't have time for that.
I understand the writing part being etched in your brain, but there are other ways your brain can get things etched. Especially if you type your dreams and utilize imagery to associate things better than if you were to draw a stick man flying around as a memoir of what you did before.
