That's what I do unless I don't want to go back to sleep. If that happens then I'll just go straight to a full detail explanation, or if I have a lucid and don't DEILD. |

I have started taking dream notes in the night, and early morning when I awake. I keep a small note pad beside me, and I write only outline notes of my dreams, like taking notes in a class. Then when I wake up in the morning, the notes stimulate my recall, and I write my dreams out in more detail in my dreamjournal book. This method has served me well, so I thought I would share it. And by taking short dream notes I find it easy to fall back asleep, as opposed to staying awake for 5-10mins while writing out every detail. |

I sometimes do it when i'm not too tired, or when i had a really interesting dream that i surely want to remember when i finally wake up. |

I realize that i'm dreaming.
I realize that i'm dreaming.
I realize that i'm dreaming.
<--- My Dream Journal Contains ONLY Lucid Dreams
I often do this too, especially when I have so much detail to write. Trying to get it all down before going back to bed sometimes cause my writing hand to cramp up. |

I had a WILD the other night because I took notes from 3 different dreams when I awoke at 4:00 in the morning. I couldn't fall back asleep for a while, and it induced my WILD. I was just lying in my bed like captain vegtable and then it hit me, SP and that was that. I guess it's a benefit to write too much in the middle of the night sometimes. |
