they don't make dreams the way they usta!
a 43yr. old male westerner and havn't really remembered dreams since age 18 or so. during childhood there were many very vivid dreams remembered as being a part of while they were occuring, not so much controlling them but could control attitude during them so as to remain in and further them. since age 18 there have been flashes of dreams barely remembered but nothing with any length, color, sound or realization at the time that they were occurring. have several theories on why but really want to know how can envoke dreams or gain better recall of what has been dreampt regaurdless of whats going on in life at the time or has been done in the past. please give any input but perhaps more specificlly info. on the effects on dreaming due to mental states/attitudes through lifes severe ups and downs. thanx

hrm. well, as is often the case, if you don't wake up during your dream, you'll forget almost all of it by the time you wake up in the morning. Thus, you need to wake up while you're dreaming to fully remember your dream. Set your alarm clock for 3 hours after you fall asleep, or 4.5, or 6, etc. As soon as you wake up, ask yourself what you were just dreaming, and try to picture it in your head. Often reliving your dream in reverse order will help.
