This was a pretty cool dream for a non-lucid.
It had some weird stuff at the start, but I'll leave that out because it's boring.
So here we go!
Island Race Non-dream Dream Lucid
Dream enjoyment rating: 7.8/10
I just liked this one. Pity it had a bitter ending.
It was my birthday. Me and my family were on a big island, I think, similar in appearance to hawaii. The annual race was being held, and I was taking part. I knew that last year I had won. The competition was fierce, though. The race wasn't like an ordinary race - I was seeing it from two perspectives, half controlling my own body from my island house, and half in the race. It was like the running game from Wii Fit.
So, the race started and we set off.
I ran for all I was worth. There were ramps and gaps, and the track was futuristic. There were green orbs, which, if you could touch them, lowered your total time. I jumped high into the air, and touched an orb. At that point, I remembered the reason I had always won the race in prior years - I had been good at touching the hard-to-reach orbs.
Now it was like a scene from the first level of Ratchet and Clank. Rocky, and futuristic.
At some point, I heard my brother and father having an argument in the house. Without realising, I had stopped to listen to the argument. My viewpoint moved back to our island house.
When the argument was over, I got very angry as I realised what had happened. "LOOK! I've lost the race! Now I'll have to wait until next year!" I screamed.
While the race was played half like a game, it was very real. Don't ask me why. Dreams are odd.
Later on, I had a chance to continue the race (somehow).
We were in a massive futuristic metropolis. All the contestants, including me, jumped from building to building, running along the course. The buildings were thin, and a dull grey colour.
I think I got an honorary mention, because later, me a former competitor were walking along a red carpet to a gigantic cinema. There was loads of people in the cinema, outside the red tape barrier which surrounded the path, and inside it.
I said bye to my Mum and Dad. It was 11 PM. I was grateful that they were staying up so that I could watch this film through the night.
The other kid seemed to be my friend. Inside the cinema, we walked up to a small computer screen by the path. It had different movies listed, with thumbnails next to them. My friend pressed one of the titles, and the thumbnail expanded, to show a trailer for the film.
It had "blue" in the name, that's all I can remember though. It was a Disney film, and the trailer showed a ginger cat rolling around by a small lake on the same island we were on, with lots of other small ginger cats next to it. A boy was crouched over the cat. I think he was a mix between Hercules and Peter Pan. I remember seeing Tinkerbell too, or some fairy thing.
Loads of Disney stuff, lol. It sounds really crappy, but at the time, it made sense and looked like a decent movie.
My buddy seemed to like that one. However, he said
"You can choose a film, if you want. Check out the trailers."
I said "Nah, it's fine, we can watch that one. It looks fun"
"Cool, this is gonna be great, seeing it really huge on the big screen!" he said enthusiastically.
As we walked down the half-queue-half-path, toward the ticket gate, I saw Matt Le Blanc, and Lisa Kudrow, from Friends, sitting by the path with some paperwork, and their assistants.

I gasped, and ran up to them.
Matt was nearest.
"Hi Matt Le-" I began, but I was interrupted.
"SHHH!" said Matt Le Blanc. He was finishing one of the blue paper forms he was holding.
I waited, then decided to go for it.
"Can I please have your autographs?"
I asked nervously. This was gonna be the best birthday ever! Getting two Friends stars' autographs, and then seeing a movie! Epic!
"Yeah, sure" both replied.
"I... er, I don't have any paper..." I said, suddenly very worried. I frantically asked everyone around my if they had some spare paper. Most ignored me or shook their heads. Finally, a thin-ish lady got some paper out of her handbag and ripped a couple pieces off. I thanked her, and was about to turn round and get the autographs, when my vision changed...
I was seeing an internet forum. A forum about the cinema, and the race beforehand. Let me explain - it wasn't a timegap, just my dream's way of denying my from going any further. A variant of The Void. An internet forum which engulfed my vision.
NOOOOO!
Now I couldn't ever get the two autographs!
I woke up, surprised. The realisation dawned on me. It had all been a dream. No autographs, cinema... nothing. The island, the cinema, the grey city, the frantic race, the autographs, and everything that had happened... GONE. I memorised the dream before getting out of bed, straining to remember every detail.
Dreaming can be a bitch sometimes. It screws with your mind, making you think things are real. All the dream had been a waste of time. Not even real.
