Real Life Arena Non-Dream Dream Lucid

      Dream enjoyment rating: 4/10.
People were nasty to me, but it was interesting to see my real-life pains manifest themselves in a dream.

I was in a swimming pool. There was a lot of people swimming back and forth across the length of the pool, which made it difficult for me to swim normally.
With every movement, I ached. I felt weak. it actually hurt.
I looked at my arms - they were skinny, more so than usual. I came to the conclusion that I was malnourished.
I complained about the people swimming lengths in the pool. "Why are you people always swimming back and forth? I can't do anything - go to a sports pool instead".

They retorted and insulted me, but left one by one. The last guy said something like "I hope you're happy. Enjoy the pool on your own".
      I said "Thanks", sarcastically.

When I woke up, I was aching all over from the way I was sleeping. It's funny how I felt this in my dream.

I had this dream yesterday night, but I forgot to write about it. I don't remember any dreams last night.

The White Bellflower Non-Dream Dream Lucid

      Dream enjoyment rating: 7/10
This dream made some sense, and it was pretty cool, too.

I had a long scratch on my arm. This scratch had been caused by a zombie. I don't remember ever being attacked - it seemed as though it had happened before the events of the dream.
Any wound inflicted by a zombie would gradually corrupt the bearer, and turn them into a zombie.
      More wounds = faster corruption.
My Mum had a lot of wounds. It was imperative that we got her a particular, white, bell-shaped flower.
If you eat the white bellflower, it stops you being turned into a zombie. We had some in our garden.
My Mum lashed out at me with a snarl. I jumped back in surprise. She apologised - the zombie infection was getting worse.
We went into the garden and picked a few of the bell-shaped flowerheads.
I thought it would be best if I had at least one flowerhead for my light wound, so I popped one into my mouth.
The texture was exactly as I expected. There was no taste, but I could vividly feel the petals in my mouth, as I chewed them. It's hard to describe. They weren't juicy or watery, like petals should be.
I can't remember if my Mum ever ate the flowerheads, but I presume so.
Some people arrived at our gate - I think it was because they needed somewhere to stay, plus, we had the white bellflowers.

I also remember a petrol station at nighttime. Like the one in Toy Story. Not sure why I remember that, though.

      Island Race

This was a pretty cool dream for a non-lucid.
It had some weird stuff at the start, but I'll leave that out because it's boring.
      So here we go!

      Island Race Non-dream Dream Lucid
      Dream enjoyment rating: 7.8/10
I just liked this one. Pity it had a bitter ending.

It was my birthday. Me and my family were on a big island, I think, similar in appearance to hawaii. The annual race was being held, and I was taking part. I knew that last year I had won. The competition was fierce, though. The race wasn't like an ordinary race - I was seeing it from two perspectives, half controlling my own body from my island house, and half in the race. It was like the running game from Wii Fit.
So, the race started and we set off.
I ran for all I was worth. There were ramps and gaps, and the track was futuristic. There were green orbs, which, if you could touch them, lowered your total time. I jumped high into the air, and touched an orb. At that point, I remembered the reason I had always won the race in prior years - I had been good at touching the hard-to-reach orbs.
Now it was like a scene from the first level of Ratchet and Clank. Rocky, and futuristic.
At some point, I heard my brother and father having an argument in the house. Without realising, I had stopped to listen to the argument. My viewpoint moved back to our island house.
When the argument was over, I got very angry as I realised what had happened. "LOOK! I've lost the race! Now I'll have to wait until next year!" I screamed.
While the race was played half like a game, it was very real. Don't ask me why. Dreams are odd.

Later on, I had a chance to continue the race (somehow).
We were in a massive futuristic metropolis. All the contestants, including me, jumped from building to building, running along the course. The buildings were thin, and a dull grey colour.

I think I got an honorary mention, because later, me a former competitor were walking along a red carpet to a gigantic cinema. There was loads of people in the cinema, outside the red tape barrier which surrounded the path, and inside it.
I said bye to my Mum and Dad. It was 11 PM. I was grateful that they were staying up so that I could watch this film through the night.
The other kid seemed to be my friend. Inside the cinema, we walked up to a small computer screen by the path. It had different movies listed, with thumbnails next to them. My friend pressed one of the titles, and the thumbnail expanded, to show a trailer for the film.
It had "blue" in the name, that's all I can remember though. It was a Disney film, and the trailer showed a ginger cat rolling around by a small lake on the same island we were on, with lots of other small ginger cats next to it. A boy was crouched over the cat. I think he was a mix between Hercules and Peter Pan. I remember seeing Tinkerbell too, or some fairy thing.
Loads of Disney stuff, lol. It sounds really crappy, but at the time, it made sense and looked like a decent movie.
My buddy seemed to like that one. However, he said
"You can choose a film, if you want. Check out the trailers."
I said "Nah, it's fine, we can watch that one. It looks fun"
"Cool, this is gonna be great, seeing it really huge on the big screen!" he said enthusiastically.
As we walked down the half-queue-half-path, toward the ticket gate, I saw Matt Le Blanc, and Lisa Kudrow, from Friends, sitting by the path with some paperwork, and their assistants.

I gasped, and ran up to them.
      Matt was nearest.
"Hi Matt Le-" I began, but I was interrupted.
"SHHH!" said Matt Le Blanc. He was finishing one of the blue paper forms he was holding.
I waited, then decided to go for it.
"Can I please have your autographs?"
I asked nervously. This was gonna be the best birthday ever! Getting two Friends stars' autographs, and then seeing a movie! Epic!
      "Yeah, sure" both replied.
"I... er, I don't have any paper..." I said, suddenly very worried. I frantically asked everyone around my if they had some spare paper. Most ignored me or shook their heads. Finally, a thin-ish lady got some paper out of her handbag and ripped a couple pieces off. I thanked her, and was about to turn round and get the autographs, when my vision changed...
I was seeing an internet forum. A forum about the cinema, and the race beforehand. Let me explain - it wasn't a timegap, just my dream's way of denying my from going any further. A variant of The Void. An internet forum which engulfed my vision.
      NOOOOO!
Now I couldn't ever get the two autographs!

I woke up, surprised. The realisation dawned on me. It had all been a dream. No autographs, cinema... nothing. The island, the cinema, the grey city, the frantic race, the autographs, and everything that had happened... GONE. I memorised the dream before getting out of bed, straining to remember every detail.

Dreaming can be a bitch sometimes. It screws with your mind, making you think things are real. All the dream had been a waste of time. Not even real.

      I believe I can fly!

Yay! I finally took off to the skies in a dream.
      Here's how it happened...

      The Competition Dream Lucid Non-Dream
I was competing in a contest. Me, and some other people were waiting for it to start. I can't remember where we were, I think it started out as a small stadium. My Dad was there.
We had to lift small, magnetic, blue weights, and carry them to the finish.
A couple other kids were testing whether they could lift the weights, as instructed by the leader of the competition (who vaguely looked like my mother).
"So, do I have to test if I can lift them?" I asked. No response. I figured the other kids were ill, or had heart problems, so they had to test it out before they competed.
The host of the competition stated that "the winner will not be recieving a cheque, they'll now get
      £ 4,300,000 directly.

Eventually though, I ended up in my room, trying to arrange the weights in the starting position. The competition was still on, taking place in my room. The weights were all magnetic, like I said, so I couldn't arrange them properly because they kept sticking together. I had a jigsaw in my hands, which was also magnetic. For whatever bizarre reason, I was trying to seperate the pieces.
It was stuck, so I said "de-magneto", and they de-magnetized.
The host kept on impatiently checking on my progress.
Eventually, I looked out my bedroom window. There was an empty garden, with a ditch/stream seperating it from an endless field. Some kids were in the garden - they'd kicked their huge beach ball over the ditch by accident.

It was at that point that I decided that I was dreaming. I forgot all about the stupid competition. I honestly don't know how this happened, but
"I'm gonna go down there and fly over the ditch, and beyond" I thought.
So I did. I hopped out the window, landing in the garden.
      "Watch this." I said.
"I'm dreaming..." I thought to myself. However, I recalled reading a post saying that it's not a good idea to keep saying that. Never mind.
I took a run up to the fence at the end of the garden. I didn't even need to think of any tricks, I just jumped into the air, knowing that nothing could stop me.

It's surprising how well this works. If you worry about it, you'll stop yourself from flying.

"This is just like that thread I read last night! Funny, that guy is right..." I thought.

I wasn't consciously following his advice - I always use that method if I'm lucid, I just will something to happen. So guys, follow the tutorial if it's not already the way you usually fly.
Anyway, I rose above the ground, higher and higher - it was wonderful! At certain points, though, it was a bit inaccurate. More like drifting, in a way, but faster. I realised that I was getting a bit too high. In front of me, I saw the house. It was tiny.
"Uh oh! I remember reading on DV "don't go too high, or there'll be no defining features in the land, and you'll wake up" - it was around that point that I drifted "too high". Everything was white. I was above the clouds, I couldn't see the ground. My body didn't exist!
I concentrated on re-entering the dream. I imagined myself being pulled down. I re-invented gravity, so to speak. It worked! I flew down from the "clouds". I slowed my descent slightly, hovering above the ground on the other side of the ditch. I flew up, then down into the garden.
Once I went inside, the dream sort of went downhill. I was reading manga, which was also animated, and... well, it the dream got confusing, and after going on the internet,
      I woke up.
However, I remember the computer worked fine.
I looked at text, looked away slightly, looked back, and it was the same. I searched for something and it took me there.
It seems that dream computers are my forté.

So there you have it! My first flying dream.
