Finally had a couple dreams I don't mind sharing with the world. To you, they may not sound interesting, but I really liked them because of how vivid they were.

      Thursday 1/29/09
      Mall Shutdown

In the beginning of this dream, I believe I was at my best friend's house looking for something to eat. They aren't very organized, so you usually have to poke around to find good snacks. I found some dog food, and having nothing better to eat, took a bite. Chewing thoughtfully (it wasn't bad), I suddenly realized I was eating dog food. I spit it all out. The scene switched and I found myself in an indoor area with a lot of people that seemed to be working. But for what? I saw a young girl my age working there as well, complaining because she worked for a whole week and only got $50. I quickly understood that I had also gotten a job there and went to the girl so she could show me what to do. My job seemed pointless; I would hold a box of Iams dog food, and when another worker asked for it, I'd give it to them. I did this for about four minutes, and held the box label out when non-workers passed me. There was a little scene skipping, in which I saw the same girl open cans of dog food, but soon enough I was no longer just selling dog food, but just food in general. I saw a chocolate donut and a massive, plain cake. The girl asked me which one I preferred, and I told her that that type of cake was my favorite. She became very excited, because that was her favorite as well. She referred to the cake as "bread," and we took a real loaf of bread up some stairs to put it in the correct spot.

After this, the scene changed once more and I was riding my bicycle on the roadway. I did not feel safe on the road at all, especially because I was going toward an area where the road curved sharply downhill, and I couldn't see oncoming cars that might be just a little too far to their left or my right... I passed down the hill without issue. I turned right and started biking on the sidewalk (the road here was major), but I realized there was a bicycle lane and was about to go into it when I saw another cyclist coming toward me on the sidewalk, suddenly dart into the lane. When he passed, I went into it, wondering why he'd bike on the wrong side of the road in a bike lane like that. As I kept going, all of a sudden a bright orange car swerved into not only oncoming traffic, but my lane as well! Naturally my first impulse was to squeeze my brakes hard, but I then quickly realized the car was still coming, and my best bet was to hope for the best and go around it. I just managed to squeeze in a space between the orange car and traffic behind me. Relieved, I continued biking. Soon I saw something curious; a line of people in the roadway (there was no sidewalk), that never ended as I biked past. I saw someone I know, and stopped my bike. I also had a sudden thought about how this would look from a high viewpoint, because I was now convinced that everyone in my town was in the line. I also noticed, that along with the guy I know (head of Science Olympiad), there were others I knew only slightly, or just outright dislike. I asked him something about why the line existed, and he answered, "Well, they are shutting down the mall." I couldn't understand why so many people would then be in a line, but sure enough as I reached the end of the line, I did see a mall that was darkened and deserted. I entered it, and saw that both a Subway and Mac.Donald's had closed, funnily not finding anything odd about the second one. I saluted the closed Subway restaurant out of impulse.

Then I saw a man who was very quick to tell me he was from the CIA. Why he'd say that, I didn't know, but he gave me orders to go upstairs. I totally believed he was from the CIA, and not wanting to mess with someone like that, I went up up. At the top a woman told me to follow her. I obeyed, and we ended up downstairs. I asked some question about the mall shutting down, and the woman gave a wry smile. "It's all a prank!" I thought. I felt proud of myself for having figured that out, and didn't think of any logical reason of why someone would be compelled to do this. At any rate, I was now outside and saw a red motorcycle that looked like it was made of plastic. Then I saw my dream journal in front of me. I must had woken up... Woken up? That would mean I was just dreaming. I felt like I was half in and half out of a dream and tried to write in it, curious to see if I could write something in the outside world in a dream. Technically, I may have been lucid, but I am not counting it. I realized I could be lucid if I brought the dream back, but it had already nearly ended so I gave in to the blackness.

      Warm Up Run

This dream was repetitive so I'll be brief. In the beginning I was just running around a field. The field was a very bright green, and it had a fence with a high part for playing baseball running along the back. It was P.E. so there were a lot of people I knew also running around. I got the typical "slow" feeling for running I usually get in a dream, but I was interested in the way I never seemed to get tired. I was also still running faster than all my classmates. After eight or so minutes of running, I stopped and looked to the side of the field, and carefully studied what I saw; it was as if our field had been dug twenty or thirty feet under normal ground level because there was no way out but a steep wall of dirt and grass. However, I could see people sitting on it as though it were flat. I knew that I'd be unable to run up this, even as I got in a position to do so. My math teacher came in and led my class to a better way to get out, which was on the other side of the field, and only required me to climb over a small, white, stone wall. When I made it over, I looked over to the field which remained unchanged, and remembered I still had to run in track after school. This must have been the warm up. I was then told to run eight laps in the gym, so I jogged over to the gym, and started to run around. At first it was dark and dreary in the gym, but as I ran I was so focused on counting my times I ran around, I neglected to notice how bright the gym was by the end. Oddly, I seem to have run around the gym thirteen times, and not eight. Later, when I jogged back to my math teacher, I saw a math problem on a table that the jogging was supposed to solve. At first I think it was 43+10=? That was easy; 53. It changed again and the plus became a minus. I swore it was a plus before, but whatever, 33. Then the problem became much larger, in the four hundreds and I started to get very confused before waking up.

I slept like a log last night, and with no random awakenings I can't remember most of my dreams. Still, I got one fairly good one, inspired by having seen a fire hydrant explode earlier that day.

      Friday 1/30/09
      Backyard Flood

I started this dream off by bouncing on a small trampoline in what I understood to be my backyard. Being small, it would of course rebound very quickly, and wasn't very enjoyable. I questioned my mom about when we had even gotten the trampoline, to which she replied, "You told me you wanted a trampoline." "Yeah, but I wanted a 12 foot one." In real life, I actually was thinking about buying a 12 foot trampoline with my own money. She just sighed and told me to accept what I had. When I looked back to the trampoline, it was only this plastic box that would become compressed whenever I stood on it, and pop out whenever I jumped a bit. I played with it a little, but was soon bored and went off to the edge of the backyard. "We could put the trampoline there," I said, pointing to a large empty space filled with sand. Then I noticed a huge flow of water coming my way, and jumped up onto something high (I don't know what it was). I noticed that the water was all coming from two red pipes that were jutting out of the ground opposite to each other. My mom stopped the water flow from the pipes, and all the water just flowed down toward me, until everything was normal again.

      Dream Fragments

Fragment 1: I was playing a racing game, but my driving instructor wanted me to stay within the lanes. I found the car impossible to control, and soon skid it and crashed. Then I saved a replay, and saw a line tracing back my path as the game saved.

Fragment 2: I first saw my aunt and her husband in my house. Then I went into a room and saw a wall full of almost nothing but UMD (PSP) games and movies. I was amazed, and saw that we had the movie Wall-E, and specifically studied an amine box cover illustration. I also saw Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for the PSP (not real), and a DS game which had words written only in capital letters on the back, and also a picture of a guy over a large planet.

I had a nice bit of dreams last night. All vivid, two almost lucid, and one that's just plain weird. Very fun night; I feel like I've been awake the whole time since I remember all these dreams, but still feel nice and rested. No time wasted!

      Saturday 1/31/09
      Adults Only

I started this dream off believing I was in a British college. Being basically my first dream of the night, I'm having trouble recalling details, but I know I had a definite goal in mind as I went across the campus. I soon became more interested in the concept that I was in England; nobody I remembered talking to had a British accent. I suddenly felt very lacking, and wanted to go out of the college. I saw a miniature model of Big Ben, and then knew I was in London. I was getting ready to go out (anticipating how weird it would feel to have cars coming from the right), but the scene changed and I was on my normal school's soccer/football field. Everyone in my track period was kicking around soccer balls; dozens upon dozens of them in the air all at once. It was getting a little dark, but the element of surprise when a ball just dropped out of the air made it even more fun. I was about to kick one of the balls when an older looking guy came up to me and told me that this game was "not for kids." I was disappointed, but continued playing on, considering that some freshmen were playing too. Soon, the scene changed again, and I was at my best friend's house in L.A. Amazing how fast I went from England, to my school near San Diego, to Los Angeles. I saw her for only a moment before she walked out. I went to go look for her after she did not come back. I went into the backyard, and saw my dad and two kids about twelve standing behind a wooden fence. My dad instantly began to talk to them in Hebrew, and they even answered in Hebrew. I was amazed! What were the chances that two random kids would know to speak Hebrew? I needed to reality check. I plugged my nose and tried to breath; unfortunately it must have been stuffed up in real life because I just barely got any air through. Technically, one could say I was lucid, because I wanted to try some other reality checks, because I was fairly sure I was dreaming, however I never proved it conclusively and I can't remember anything past that.

      Biblical Stone

In the beginning of this dream, I was running up some very pretty, grassy hills that were almost impossibly vibrant. With me was a group of other guys my age, and soon I saw an older teen running down the hill in the opposite direction. I realized how slow I felt, and remembered that this only happens in dreams to me. However, I had a weird thought that I could not do the nose reality check, because you need a group of lucid dreamers to do it, and that it cannot be done alone. For this reason, I didn't pursue the topic further and soon completely forgot about it. We all reached the top of the hill, and of course were getting ready to run down. I found I had a skateboard with me, and sat down on it and slid all the way to the bottom, as if the grassy hill was concrete. I did this on the next couple of hills, much to my enjoyment (though when running I never did have the skateboard). Finally, when our run was over, I saw my English teacher, and he said he was going to take us to see this "biblical rock" on which some parts of the bible were carved hundreds of years before. Though I'm not religious, it sounded interesting to me, and I was glad to go. We briefly walked through a small gorge, and I found myself in a small room made of logs, and waiting in a very long line.

Most of the people in front of me were perhaps seven years old. Were they all going to see the rock too? Based on age groups, I could tell that they were all from different schools and grades, and also on some field trip like us. The line shortly moved the length of perhaps thirty people, and I was outside. After a brief period of looking about, and realizing that there were thousands of students waiting in a line that snaked around every corner of every building (mostly other log cabins), I simply accepted it and patiently waited. At one point, I saw one of my friends (who is like 300 pounds), but he was sagging his pants so I could see his ass, which had brown spots on both cheeks. I looked away fast and told him to stop doing that. After a little more time in line, I saw a woman walk by. She asked me a question (which I have forgotten), and I understood myself to now be in Knott's Berry Farm, where it would be natural to wait in a line. Then, the line moved a bit and I was still outside, but under the cover of a wooden roof. I realized it was raining, and actually felt a little cold. It was about 55 degrees, I reasoned. I went out into the rain, and also saw another friend of mine. The rain wasn't cold, but I could feel it weighing down my clothes and distinctly felt wet. But I liked it. I angled my face up to catch as much rain in my mouth as possible, joking that we probably looked retarded. It was raining so hard, our mouths soon were almost completely full. A man then walked by and then jokingly said, "You guys look retarded." Since it agreed so much with what I was thinking, I started to laugh hard, and spit out all the water so I wouldn't choke on it.

      Far Cry 2

This dream started off oddly. My grandfather, who died before I was born, was dying. I felt like a day passed with constant updates about how he was doing worse, or how he was having trouble breathing, until I heard that he had finally really gone. I warped to where he was, and saw someone carry him off, and I cried a little, though I didn't know him. Then, I became convinced I was playing the game Far Cry 2, and wondered if this was the ending to the game. It wasn't. As soon as I thought about that, two weird looking guys (I dare say that, while human, they reminded me of raccoons), and a stereotypical British soldier from the past started shooting at me. I found I had a pistol and shot back. I noticed that neither I, nor them were dying (remember, I thought I was playing a video game), and walked a little closer. One of the men that reminded me of a raccoon told me to spread my legs a bit and walk a more lumbering walk. I noticed I was in the woods, and did that walk they wanted me to do. I also was given a gun that shoots sawdust. I shot it over my shoulder, and coughed a little when I breathed in the dust. Finally, the scene changed and I saw a movie of this man that rode a massive tricycle down a steep hill. The hill was indoors, and was painted as if it were a road, but then the road would turn outdoors and there would be a few bumps. At the end there was a jump, and I saw the guy do a flip, fully expecting him to wipe out. When he didn't, I thought it was hilarious since it was so unexpected. Then, I saw another version where he did wipe out, which I thought was not nearly as funny.

      Death by Human Saliva

Finally, the most random dream of the night. At first I saw a small, two headed creature that looked like a tiny T-Rex. Both heads talked to me, complaining about that it wasn't the body sharing that bothered them, but the fact that neither had a neck. I then saw another animal, which basically was just a furry ball with two massive eyes, and little chicken legs. I saw a movie of one, that claimed it was highly intelligent, and very hardy; I could see in the video one was living at the bottom of the ocean. It could also live for up to 100,000 years. It's only discovered weakness was human saliva, which would instantly dissolve it, even if it was the tiniest droplet. I then was afraid, because what if I were to just talk, and have a little spit droplet fly out and hit it, and kill the thing? I wanted it out of "my" house at once, but it wasn't really my choice. The scene briefly switched and I was talking to my dad, and understood myself to be 1,000 years in the future. He was fixing up a computer that looked a lot like the ones in our time, and he would screw in these blocks to other blocks to connect the parts. It looked very familiar, and I said, "Some things just never change." My dad then told me about a massive wind turbine, that was being built, the size of the Empire State Building. He explained that the amount of metal needed was massive, and that getting it was a bit of a problem. "Don't they just mine from the moon now?" I asked. He started to talk to me about the problems of how inefficient spaceships were, and I saw some cartoon animations of numerous types being launched into space. Of course, the names were the brands of current cars. My dad talked about space pollution, and how all the ships would leave trails of exhaust that just kept expanding. Finally, I saw an animation of a young girl under the water that wanted to get into space. She would twist her hands into a propeller shape, and her father would launch her up by spinning her. Of course, she'd never break through the surface of the water.

Finally I was back in the original room with the odd creature I saw earlier, but it was sealed in a can with just a bit open so it could breathe. I was going to give it to a different non-human creature, and it was yelling at me. "I'm going to make you into my dog!" It yelled. For a moment there, I thought about this and did realize I'd probably make a better pet for it, than it did for any human. After all, they were more intelligent and lived way, way, way, longer. The creature then escaped the can and yelled "Prepare to be flowered." It attacked another small animal near it, and took the shape of a flower around it. I just shrugged, went over it, and spit. It instantly became white and completely dissolved. "You think we can still sell the remains?" I asked me dad, holding up whatever was left. "No," he answered.

Last night I fell asleep at like 12:30 even though I wanted to be asleep by 11 thanks to some stupid zit that popped and seriously wouldn't stop bleeding for an hour. I did, however, remember an incredibly vivid and long dream (real time about 30 minutes).

      Sunday 2/1/09
      Lag in Real Life

This was my last dream of the night and annoying. In the beginning, I was given a red, rubber ball, and I was in a gym. There was a basketball hoop, so I thought I might as well try to make a basket or two. I threw the ball to the hoop, but found that my body was reacting very, very slowly, and that the ball itself traveled in slow motion in the air, often skipping "frames." It would always bounce back to me in the end. A kid near me asked, "Hey, you wanna play [word beginning with a "B"]. "What's that?" I asked. "It's when you try to make a basket using your head." "OK." I went nearer to the basket with a group of children that wanted to play too. I tried to jump and hit the ball with my head, and though I did it was extremely difficult to coordinate the jump. I almost made a basket, and I tried again, once again barely able to control my jump, and missed the basket by a mile.

      What's an Ore?

This dream started with me riding my bike out of school. It was extremely dark (I could scarcely see my hands), and I was going to cross the road. I remembered I have a red light on the back of my bike, and set it to flash quickly so people could see me. It really was dark... I pressed the button to cross the street, and after some people turned left I got right into the street, but the light didn't change. I waited for a second (in the middle of the street like an idiot), and it did change and I finished my crossing. I started to bike down the left sidewalk (the road has no bike lane, has probably ten lanes, and people drive 55 so I don't dare go in or cross to the right side) when I realized something; I would not be able to see pedestrians. I had two choices; walk my bike, or cross the street and bike on the right. I looked into the street, and it was just a normal neighborhood street. I crossed the street and rode up the road. Eventually I got to a T-intersection and turned left, and the scene somehow changed so that I was in the house of a kind older man with some kids younger than me. I didn't question why, and sat down in a comfortable chair. The old man stood up and said, "If you answer this question I'll give you $100,000; what's an ore?" None of us even tried to answer. The old man actually held up a massive stack of money. "Nobody want's to answer?" He asked, flaunting the huge stack of money. The boy sitting next to me answered (I've forgotten what). "Close," said the old man, and gave the boy $100. I raised my hand, but soon forgot what an ore was and put it back down. The man gave me $20 just for that. I felt a bit guilty, like I was just stealing his money, and he even gave me a few more $20 bills. The scene changed again, and I was once again trying to get home on my bike.

I biked around, and soon saw a map of the area I was in. There were names and pictures of famous people all around a circle, and the one I noticed most was Oprah. My friend from LA soon briefly joined the dream, claiming her grandma would hold a daily show in this area, but that it wasn't very good. Then, I was in a show myself! It had a lot identical puppets; all supposed to be human girls about ten years old, but somewhat cartoony. A song was playing too, as "they" danced; I cannot remember the tune exactly, but it was a song about how old puppets and new puppets were made from different materials. These new ones claimed there were made of something like "Plasticine 288-88" in the song. It was fairly catchy actually, but I soon was just looking at the map again. I saw that the place I knew I had to go would be found by taking the Oprah path. I saw my sister complaining about a garden she had to pass to get there, and soon I was in that little garden (which reminds me of "Peach Gardens" from Mario Kart DS) and saw the corner of a brick building. I went around the building and saw an interesting game taking place.

Now, my recall is slightly jumbled here, so I don't know exactly what happened. However, there was a little machine in the center of a circular ring which would shoot foam rockets, and the players in the center would have to catch them. When it was my turn to play, I ran up to the tiny machine and tipped it right over, so rockets could only shoot straight up and would be easy to catch. "You can't do that," my mom said. "Why? It's not against the rules." I answered. The scene changed and I found myself on the upper story of a mall, wanting to go downstairs. Aside from the normal stairs, there was also what could be a water slide, but it had metal bars that would circulate around it, much like the stairs on an escalator. What could the use be? I saw a man with a huge toy car drive into this slide thing. The metal bars held tightly onto the wheels, and so he could get down safely. Clever... but why was there water? I didn't get my answer, instead seeing a toddler immediately jump onto the slide, and fly down it at quite a speed. I didn't worry for him, because, after all, the engineering must have accounted for such mishaps. At the end, he just slipped off the thing onto a red tile floor, surprised, but unharmed. I went down stairs and continued to explore the mall.

I eventually reached an interesting store. It had a very cool name, but I don't remember it. When I looked inside at first, it was packed with some fairly interesting looking toys, and I decided to take a look. I looked to the left for only a moment, and when I looked back, the store had completely changed. The entrance was on the other side, and all they seemed to sell were toys that could shoot things. I went inside, and the first thing I saw was a slingshot which vaguely resembled a sleeping mask. It looked usable, albeit weak. I searched the store some more, and saw a radio control plane for $29.99 that was shaped like a dragonfly. I found a piece of it, and it was huge. Something that big had to work with control surfaces, and so $30 was probably a great price. I also saw an Easy Star plane on sale for $70. I opened one of the dragonfly boxes, but it was actually very small, and didn't seem worth it.

Bad recall last night. I had a whole dream of doing nothing but being on DV Chat, which, of course, was boring.

      Monday 2/2/09
      The T-Shirt Game

In this dream, at first I was with some friends and we were playing a game in which my team had to collect T-shirts and put them in a basket. We collected three, but the opposing team still had one of the shirts. However, the girl that had the other shirt began to just talk with a different group, so we were able to win by snatching the shirt out of her hands while she wasn't looking. Then I met with the track team, and we all lined up into two lines on a dirt track carved out in the middle of a grassy area. Our coach was about to give instructions, when one snobby looking girl took off by herself. When "she" returned, it was a different girl altogether, and on the other line. I was thinking that if we both took off on separate lines, running back we might crash into each other. I was very interested to see how it would play out, but my alarm rang.

Dream Fragment: A Whole Family of Cats

In this fragment, I was viewing a post by no-name, and he wrote that he liked how Dream Views was like a "whole family of cats," and listed a lot of names of the "cats." I was also on a list, but it was one for annoying people. Then I joined chat, but I forget what it was we were talking about.

I did get some very bad recall from last night. One "dream" and one very short fragment. The funny thing was, after I awoke, I thought the fragment had really happened later in the day when I thought about my cactus for a couple seconds, before I recognized the event as a dream moments later. They are so not vivid, I have to record them in first person; they just don't seem like memories.

I stand in a large room, with a tall ceiling. A girl I know walks by; curious I begin to follow. I don't want to get in front of her, so I stay behind, keeping a distance. I'm confused about how fast I should walk, and if I should overtake her, but I stay back. She leads me to a circle of students, and I take a seat. We are all sitting on the grass, and somebody walks up and seems to grip the "circle" as a single unit, spinning us all as if on a lazy Susan. We begin to spin very quickly, and I find myself having to hold on to an invisible edge to stay on. I see someone I don't know in real life, but in this dream I know I dislike, thinking how much I would love to give him a good kick in the shin right about now...

      Dream Fragment: Dead Cactus

I look outside to see my cacti, but they have both been over watered and are dead. I touch whatever soft mess is left, sad that my cactus I grew for almost two years has died from my personal neglect.

More bad recall from last night. The second dream (written first in this journal) was really just because I woke up ten minutes before my alarm rang, and had a dream within the few minutes I had fallen back asleep in. It contains a lot of thoughts, suggesting I was fairly awake and anticipating my alarm.

      Wednesday 2/4/09
      Boxy Mouth

As soon as I fell asleep after an awakening, I found myself in a rather normal looking classroom, sitting at a rather normal desk. It was quite vivid, and I could notice nothing wrong even when I actually examined the area. There didn't seem to be any teacher in the room, and I said some weird remark. It came out in a fairly high pitched voice (though I couldn't understand why), and the person sitting next to me looked at me in a way that meant to say that he wasn't enjoying the experience. I recognized him... sort of. He was, as far as I could tell, a kid I respect quite a bit who is pretty funny in real life. I started to ponder about why he would actually be so mean, when he suddenly blurted out, "Wait? When do you have track?" "6th period." I answered. There was something very weird about his mouth. From the side when it opened and closed, it formed three sides of a square, with the fourth being imaginary from the opening. He also looked like a cross between human, and another animal, perhaps a llama. He continued, "Oooooh! I thought you were a different kid in my track period! He's stupid. He took an ice shaver and shaved some ice with it," he said while making the motion of grinding the ice and dropping it on his tongue. "How odd," I thought, "that he should find this 'stupid.'"

      Dream Fragment: Lava Rescue

All I remember is having been playing a video game, where I had to save something Dora the Explorer related from some rising lava. I missed it a few times, but eventually seemed to save whatever I was trying to get.

Hell of a lucid dream I had last night. I woke up at 5:09, sad because I'd have to get up at 5:50 and I was pretty sure my chance for any good dreams was over. I was wrong. In that time period of about 5:10 when I fell asleep to exactly 5:45 (that's 35 minutes!), I had a great DILD. There were many false awakenings, so my recall of it is fragmented at best, but I still will recall all I can remember, though I can't vouch that everything is in exactly the correct order.

      Thursday 2/5/09
      Digging to China

I started this dream in my room, and I noticed something odd on the desk. It was a box, and inside were some cookies in their wrappers. At least, I assumed they were cookies because they were so soft. As I was about to open the wrapper, I for some reason had another bag in my hand; it was clear plastic, large, and was filled with multicolored pieces of material. I began to read the back, which read something like this:

"Heat! The chemical reaction with this product will create an enjoyable amount of heat!

      Increase your powers of lucidity!"

Next to the lucidity sentence, there was a picture of a ball made of marbles, and a cube made of marbles. There was something about the ball being seen if you were awake, and the cube if you were asleep. I was having trouble grasping the concept, but wanted to come to Dream Views right away to record my findings. Just then, it hit me that this was not normal in the slightest. I started to suspect I was dreaming, and nose reality checked. I was! I was happy, yet passive; as if I got lucid every night. I think that first I was on the computer. At first, I saw a counter that warned that I had used up, "40 000/42 000 dream frames." I realized that it would be fun to teleport through an image. I went to Google images, and decided I wanted to go to London. I did not find any images of London, and only one of some grassy field with some trees. It would have to do. I jumped right into my computer, and found myself in the setting. It was blurry, and there wasn't much to do. I found my way out of the image and was back in my room. I saw my brother walk by, and began to talk to him. I can't remember the beginning of the conversation, but I asked him the typical dream character question, "How does it feel to not exist?" My sister's reaction when I asked this question in a previous lucid was a sad face, until I pointed out she had no emotions either. He sat in a chair, and seemed mad. In fact, I didn't trust him anymore. I made the mistake of thinking he would grab for the scissors and try to hurt me, so of course he would. I restrained him, and walked him back to my room. As soon as I started to wonder about why this happened, it seemed like he was fine again.

At any rate, I had a lucid dream, and I didn't want to waste it. I have a brief memory of having left my house and flown around, when all became very blurry. I wanted to find something I could concentrate on, and went to one of my house's roof tiles. That brought the whole dream back into focus. However, I think that soon I had a false awakening. I still knew I was dreaming, and got out of bed, nose reality checking. My eye was twitching, but I didn't want to let that bother me. I went downstairs and saw my sister, questioning if she'd like to join me in my lucid dream. She seemed pleased, and I talked to her about teleporting through pictures. I wanted to teleport into the picture I saw on a cardboard VHS box, but instead the box just phased through my head. It was a funny feeling though, so I liked it. I think we now both went outside, and I made sure to fully expect it was the daytime. "Want to fly?" I asked my sister. She must have been ahead of me, because she already started to fly a little. I took off also, and we flew over a couple rooftops before landing on one.
Unfortunately, I think I had another false awakening, in which I briefly lost lucidity.

In this false awakening, I woke up to find all my sister's friends sleeping in my room on the floor. My sister's best friend got up and walked past me. I eventually regained lucidity (it must have still been on my mind), and got out of the house. I found some sand, and a couple other kids. I had an idea! I could dig to China. Now, naturally, my house wasn't under China, but it was a dream. I started to dig with my hands, but couldn't do it faster than in real life no matter how hard I tried. Well then, I'd just have to make up something; the world is flat. I was curious to see how my dream would transition between my gravity, and the gravity to those under. A person passed behind me, remarking that he really liked lucid dreamers, and gave me a shovel. Pleased, I kept digging in the sand, making a smallish hole (which kept filling up with dry sand), until I actually broke through something! I opened it up a little; it was only a foot and a half deep. The boy near me ventured into it first; as soon as he entered the hole he entered a sort of ice slide, that went down the opposite way gravity should go at the other end; it was still orientated towards my side. I didn't notice this, and after standing in the hole, decided I'd like it a bit bigger. After a brief expansion, I entered it. I dropped right into a water slide! It was all a rather calm blue, and very, very slippery. I was actually afraid. Dream pain was not on my agenda. I held on to the top and slowed my decent down the slide. I eventually saw that it led into a pool, and released my grip, flying down into the water. And wouldn't you know it, I actually got a little dream water uncomfortably up my dream nose.

The area I found myself in was an indoor swimming pool. The people here looked more Japanese than Chinese. A "Chinese" man started at me, wondering where I had come from. I apologized to a nearby man who seemed to be the one maintaining the place. When I entered the next room, it was a large shopping area. I was lucid, but just barely. I was still with the boy that went down the slide first, and also my brother. When they disappeared, I regained full lucidity, and started to fly very low to the ground. It was quite exhilarating, and I wondered why I had never flown low like this before, as I dodged human legs and an old woman's mobility scooter. I eventually found them again, and saw my mom, who was telling my brother that he had to go with her. My brother pleaded to stay with me, but was soon taken away. I think I had another false awakening, but I remained lucid throughout once more. I went downstairs again, and realized that my dream was never ending. In fact, by now it had gone on for a very long time, and I sort of wanted to wake up. I thought that perhaps I'd attempt to fly to the moon; it would do no harm if I woke up. I took a leap, and the moon started getting closer. I could clearly see it's craters, and it was lit up very brightly. It was pretty, but there was a point I reached where no matter how much I flew, I never would get closer. Oh well. I also saw a hot girl right by the moon. She was just about perfect; false awakening. Shame really. I was still lucid, and went onto my computer, hoping to naturally wake up soon as I browsed the dream internet. I found the girl that I had seen on YouTube, albeit with a very ugly face. I then found this account of a kid I understood to be the one I had gone to China with. I was about to send him a thank you note, when I realized what a silly thing that would be to do in a dream. I slowly began to wake up, very slowly everything went black
, I felt my body on the bed, and I opened my eyes, and reality checked.

      Dream Fragment: Brother's Birthday

This short dream started when I was on my bicycle and riding down the left sidewalk. I wondered why I wasn't just in the street, and soon crossed to the right sidewalk... I biked home, and heard that my brother's birthday was coming up, and that we were going to go to a really nice park to spend the day. All I can remember for sure is: we never did.

I had another one of those morning dreams. It feels cheap adding them to my recall, but whatever. It was very boring, yet extremely convincing when vividness is taken into account.

      Friday 2/6/08
      Teacher Change

In the beginning of this dream I was in English class. In real life I am currently writing a research essay on dreaming, so this could be the association. I remembered something about track practice, and that I needed a teacher change to be in 6th period. My teacher took me to the next room, and when I sat at the desk was subjected to extremely boring monologues. I remembered that I already had 6th period track and wanted to switch back to my old English class. I just walked out of the room into my old English room, and asked if I could switch back. The answer was a simple, "No." I was disappointed, but this was somewhat expected. I looked through the window into the room I had come from, and had the privilege of seeing someone fasten an icicle to his butt to be used as a weapon in a play. The for that room was actually right next to me, and not thinking I blurted out, "No offense, but I really like [my teacher's name] class better." She just laughed a little. I have a memory of seeing some of my friends, and getting mad at them, but the one thing I vividly remember is standing under a tree about to take a drink of water. I looked up to the tree; honestly there was no difference between this dream tree and a real tree when I studied it. Or maybe there was, because I started to think about dreaming. "Well... it's going to be Saturday, I'll probably get good recall tomorrow." The passing period bell rang and I thought I had to go to an assembly. It seemed to have rained, for everything was wet. It is raining right now, so I probably heard the raindrops in my dream, or just remembered it was raining. One thing in particular that caught my eye was some water swirling perfectly into a drain. Something about it was just a little too nice. I then entered the gym and sat down; everything was now blurry. I must had forgotten my glasses! A shame too; I had such a good seat. I stood up to go back to the room to get them.

Bleah, still got that bad recall going. I think I'm going to wake myself up at three again tonight, because that usually helps drastically with my recall. It's not interesting really, but there was a lot of detail.

      Saturday 2/7/09
      Snowless Sledding

The first thing I remember is coming out of the locker room at school. I was holding a very large, blue plastic board, which was just like a giant cutting board. I was going to use it to slide down grassy or dirt hills, and was talking to somebody about which hills I would go down, which mostly was a steep little hill that in real life exists down by our blacktop. I was a little afraid of the possibility of being badly scratched up by the blacktop, but I continued on my way. On the way, I saw a guy I know from my past P.E. class. He is a really big guy, both vertically and horizontally, and he wanted to try out my "sled." I noticed that the sled was now very different; it was still blue, but not rigid. Floppy as it was, it was still a form of plastic, and it was very, very small. I wondered how the heck this guy would use such a small thing, when he was so big, but it didn't seem to bother him. I noted I was on top of a small but steep grassy hill, and that the area he was sliding down seemed to have some water running down it. When he slid, he went fast! Extremely fast. At the bottom of the hill there was a sidewalk, but somehow he ended up actually going off of a small jump and clearing the sidewalk, plus another ten or so feet of grassy field past it!

I was amazed, and ran down to make sure he was alright. He was fine, and wanted to do it again. As I turned to the hill, it now had a blue sheet (the kind usually used for things like covering pools, or perhaps a for a gazebo). It had water on it, so basically it was a huge, downhill Slip n' Slide. With my board, I expected him to rocket down it. Then, came the introduction of a different dream character, the antagonist so to speak. He messed up the end of my sheet, and made it turn. I humored him for a moment by lifting up one part of the sheet to make a banked turn, then tried to get it back to normal, but he wouldn't let me. Though the scene didn't change, the topic did. The same dream character showed me that he had broken "my" ping pong ball. I had the sudden impression that these balls were very important, and I was mad at him for doing so. I was very mad at him, but searching around I found an area with tons of ping pong balls. I picked one up, noting that it was very sturdy, and must have been of higher quality than the other ball. Taking a closer look, it was had three stars printed on it, which agreed with my original conclusion. Me and a guy I understood to be my friend began to bounce the ping pong balls around, though being harder the ones I found had a bit less bounce than the previous ones (that I had been thinking about in some false memories). Finally, I looked at one of the trees, and was surprised to find a light blue envelope. I took it off the tree, and when opened I took out a small diary. Curious, I opened it up, and found that the date it was written was 2005 by some graduating seniors at my high school. I flipped through, curious to read some of it. The handwriting was abysmal. I could scarcely make out one word. There was one point where I read the segment, "I really hate the popular girls," but that was about all I could make out. I somehow understood that there was a phone book in there with 500 phone numbers. I flipped around some more, and there really was. I skimmed the pages of the phone book, wondering how anybody could collect so many numbers without actually copying them from a real, city phone book.

      Dreaming Books

At first I was playing a funny little game, in which I'd drop red balls that could fall through a ceiling by clicking to make holes under them. Under this, were moving drawings of famous people; mostly politicians. If you hit them, they were just disappear and you would get points. After I played a couple rounds, I found myself on a website which cataloged every book about dreaming ever written. Noting there really caught my eye, except a book simply titled, "Dreaming," which retailed at a whopping $257 but was being sold for "only" $80 there. There was a review posted next to it, in the Amazon.com style. The reviewer gave it five stars. I skimmed it, catching a few things like, "If you want to learn about babies in REM sleep," but not anything of particular importance. I then saw an ad that promised to allow you to record [a number]^-1 thoughts. To the negative one? Was this some scheme to make a ridiculous amount of money for people who thought they were going to get to record a lot of thoughts? Also, why pay to record thoughts? I soon snapped out of my short dream period, back in bed.

Haha. The snowless sledding dream sounds awesome (until the antagonist showed up). I used to love sliding down hills, on everything from cardboard boxes to Little Red Wagons. Lol. I bet that big guy was having the time of his life.

Thanks Oneironaut. The antagonist thing was more of a sarcastic joke than anything. Last night I remembered a couple of short, but vivid dreams. I had another one where I went to Knott's Berry Farm; that's like my sixth dream on the subject already! The dream also proves that you can remember correct facts from the real world, and how they can affect your dreams. Oh, yeah, it's my sister's birthday today too.

      Sunday 2/8/09
      Tire Chase

There was a lot to lead up to this moment, but the first thing I remember is being about to cross a very familiar street. Details are hazy, but there was a man, which I think was on foot, that was pushing a tire in front of him, and stopped in a lane meant to continue straight at a stoplight. I was curious as to why he was traveling with cars, but did not care much until he somehow made the tire speed up, so that it seemed to be going twenty miles per hour. Without thinking, I started to chase right after it (narrowly avoiding being hit with cross traffic). I found that I could run even faster than the runaway tire, and I tried to stop it. I pressed it against the curb somehow (the spinning was not noticeable on my hand), hoping the friction would stop it. There was no effect. I looked up from the tire, and noticed I was nearing another intersection, in which I probably would be hit by a car. Now instead of stopping the tire, I had to stop myself. I also then noticed I was barefoot. I tried to just stop, but it was as if my momentum was connected to that of the tires; I just kept being swept along with it. As a last ditch effort, I jumped up onto the sidewalk and managed to stop on an area of dirt and gravel. Watching the tire, I saw it change direction into the middle of the street, and hit an oncoming pickup truck, which was painted green with a singular tan stripe running down the center. There was a flash that momentarily filled up my vision. I pinpointed its location to a very faraway building on top of a brown hill. I assumed it had taken a picture of the tire. The scene changed and I was in my dad's office, and he was talking about my tire incident to his coworkers. The dirt I had run through apparently was full of thorns, and I noticed numerous little "holes" in my foot. I even pulled out a thorn still stuck inside, which hurt about the same as real life. I became semi-lucid, aggravated by being affected by "dream pain" before I awoke.

      Knott's Berry Farm's Rocket Ride

The first thing I remember is standing in Knott's Berry Farm with my mom, watching my brother wait in line for Montezuma's Revenge. Oddly, I kept remembering Montezuma's Revenge to have a corkscrew, via a memory from a real previous dream in which the coaster was painted purple and had both a corkscrew and a loop. I decided to observe my surroundings. I first took my attention to Xcelerator. It didn't seem to be working, but was otherwise normal other than what appeared to be a chain-lift on the section of track that is vertical. I knew it didn't operate in any rain, but I noticed that the weather was mainly sunny, with only a few clouds. I remembered that in real life I once had thought it not to be working, but that it was activated later in the day when I was riding Silver Bullet. "They'll probably turn it on at 3," my mom said. Three was later than my personal opinion, but I kept quiet. I turned my attention to Silver Bullet. At first, I was having trouble recalling the name, but it just came to me. I also remembered how efficient the ride is compared to other Knott's rides. That made it weird to me because logically I should see a train in motion. Just then, one popped into my view from a curve, and I was relieved. My brother all of a sudden just exited the line for Montezuma's Revenge, and we went to find another ride.

The first one we both saw was a simple ride with spinning rocket ships around a central axle. What made this one different, however, was that the rockets were very, very high for a kids ride. I thought it would be fun to go on, and my brother and I waited in line. Everyone got on at the same time, and the ride had changed. It was now a singular blue plate, and everybody would sit on the edge. The balance had to be about perfect, or the plate would tip. I was the biggest of all the kids on the ride, but there were enough to balance this out. I fastened some intuitive shoulder straps, and we started to go up. Just then, everybody started to move about, ruining the balance. The ride swayed, and nearly tipped over. "You idiots!" I yelled, "You're going to make us all fall!" I heard a girl say, "I just moved into this area yesterday," and momentarily distracted, the ride completely changed. Now, I was still at the altitude at which I had started (a seventy feet at least), but there was no blue plate. Instead, there was a trampoline below me. I fell onto it, and sprung back up. I could really feel the forces, and I was having an incredible amount of fun. I started to transition into a video about this trampoline, but I awoke.

      Dream Flashback: Parking Lot

I remember this dream involved a parking lot, a middle eastern accent, and some fairly powerful car.

I had a couple of very, very, boring school dreams last night. They were both morning dreams, which for me always end up being a weird mix of logical, yet very confused and unstable. I also did a hell of a lot of reading in last night's dreams, but I've forgotten nearly everything I read.

      Monday 2/9/09
      Backpack Search and Fake WILD

I cannot quite pinpoint the beginning of this dream; the first thing I can remember with any detail is looking at my posted grade on the wall at school. Every grade had the student's picture next to it, and my grade was something like 57%. An F? I went to go ask the teacher why I had an F, and she showed me that I was missing an assignment which I had never heard of. I had a false memory of having switched classes, which is why I didn't know of it. I as given the assignment; I needed to read this 24 page booklet called "Books." I then left school. When I reached the sidewalk, I met one of my friends. He's about 300 pounds, but the same height as me, so you can imagine the surprise I had when he just began to sprint incredibly fast. I tried to keep up with him, but couldn't run fast, and he soon was almost almost all the way across the street. I heard a comment behind me from a kid that said that "[name other than my friend] is such a fast runner!" I looked back, and now the runner was not my friend, which made far more sense to me. At some point, I realized I wasn't carrying my backpack. I started sprinting back to school and halfway there I saw a pile of backpacks. I knew they weren't mind, but still grabbed one for reasons I can't really understand. A girl walked by and told me that it was her backpack, so I gave it back.

Then I was back in the classroom, in which some students were actively reading "Books." I noticed I was carrying another kid's backpack again. Forgetting about mine, I wanted to get this back where it belonged. A guy near me told me who it belonged to, and that I was to take it to the art teacher in room 387. I left the room, and saw a woman in a room with no door. I instantly knew she was the art teacher. I gave her the backpack, which she accepted. Then I left school for the second time via a large staircase. Finally, something a bit interesting happened. I seem to have woken up in real life, and went for a WILD. I entered a dream, but was oblivious to that fact, and continued WILDing throughout my dream. I noticed I didn't have my blanket on, but I was already feeling the "waves," so I didn't want to bother putting it on. Most interesting of all, I was reading a book out of the corner of my eye, which was just slightly open. It, naturally, was a book about dreaming. I can't remember what it said really, but it basically echoed my thoughts, albeit in more formal language. I even flipped the page somehow, until I realized my WILD would never transition into the dream state unless I got rid of the book! I pushed the book down the edge of my bed next to the wall. I woke up for real shortly after in the same position, with no bed covers on me.

      D=RT

I once again can't pinpoint the start of this dream, but I was given a little survey/worksheet by a teacher I had last year. The scene changed, and I was in another room alone completing it. The first nine questions were all opinions. I only remember one, which was, "Do you have to eat breakfast?" I scribbled down, "I have to, or else by ten I'm really hungry." Another question had the equation D=RT, and asked me some questions about solving for variables (as they kept changing around with every look). I left the room from a small door. Two people were blocking my way, but they moved and I passed. I felt very tired all of a sudden. I lied down next to a mattress, and my teacher asked a question. The answer, for me, was "I could always hide it behind the couch," referring to the mattress as a couch. "No," he answered, "it's the window!" I looked up and saw the same kind of window that is always right over me as I sleep. It started to swing around wildly, until I awoke.

Too much stress lately; I woke up today not thinking about dreams at all and lost a couple because of that. I do, however, funnily enough remember a short lucid dream I had very early on in the night. Also, $10 I'll have a dream about driving a car tonight; another car drive with my instructor today.

      My City: Part I

I've basically made it my task to find a city and explore it for my next lucid dreams. I almost did it last night. In the beginning, I was just looking at the sky, which was a very pretty, but fairly normal, blue. I started to have some thoughts I was "in a lucid dream," and soon enough got lucid myself. Granted, it was low level, but I did know I was dreaming. I flew up high into the air; everything was so bright and vivid I could have mistaken it for reality. When I made it high enough to see over a small hill, I could see a city behind it. It looked pretty average, littered with apartment buildings, and offices. I remembered I wanted to explore, so I flew closer. However, somehow the city changed. When I arrived, I saw that every building was built underwater, with only the roofs poking through the top. Though this could be interesting, I did not want to go underwater, and flew off searching for another city. I can't remember the rest of the dream.

That underwater city sounds like a leftover goal from the Atlantis task of the month. Too bad you didn't get a chance to check it out. Now the mystery will haunt me...

Maybe I should just try to visit in my own dream

Thanks Butler. You know how things get lost in translation from dreams to text though. The water was pretty muddy, and it was overall very uninviting. Last night I remembered a ton of dreams, but then I forgot them again. I was too lazy to record them in the middle of the night, so now I pay the price. The two more vivid fragments stuck with me.

      Thursday 2/12/08
      Breaking Rocket

I started this dream in our car; I think I was chewing gun which tasted minty. We stopped for some reason, and I noticed that my rocket I made for Science Olympiad had a broken fin. I assumed I was going to the competition. Annoyed, I picked it up and looked for something to glue the fin with. All there was, was epoxy. That would have to do. I looked at the road, wondering if I'd just have to mix epoxy directly on it. That would be sort of polluting... though I did see epoxy stains from people that had evidently done it before. Then again, I'd probably get a lot of little rocks stuck inside the epoxy, which wouldn't be nice. My mom started to talk to me, solving the problem, because she distracted me and I forgot to mix the epoxy and simply squeezed it out of one bottle onto my fin. It should have hardened, being a dream, but instead it made a very weak bond. Upon more glances, another fin broke.

      River U-Turn

As may be seen above, I was pretty logical last night. In this dream, I started off following a small stream with my mom. I began to wonder where all the water was coming from. I looked up-I appeared to be in a tiny valley, or canyon-and saw that at the top of those tiny hills there was some snow. However, water was running; that meant that the temperature was above freezing. Even more, I felt quite warm when I thought about it. There was no doubt in my mind now; the water was coming from melting snow. Soon my mom and I reached an area where the stream took a sort of U-turn. It widened too; it could now reasonably be called a river. Without warning, the water level began to rise. Soon it was as high as the walls that made up the U-turn. I felt the sensation of water, but no temperature, as I tried to swim against the current to get myself to one of these walls. I wondered if this was how it felt to those stuck in fast moving water, and understood why so many died now. I reached the wall and propped myself up besides my mom. Neither of us were wet, but that wasn't noticed in the dream. I surveyed my surroundings, and saw that on the opposite side of the wall there was a way off that was only a three or four foot drop onto grass. Regardless, my mom and I waited for the water level to fall back down, then went back down to the river.

My dreams have been somewhat dull lately, and last night was no exception because I had another school dream. Granted, it had a "plot twist," but it was still a school dream.

      Friday 2/13/09
      Failed Rail Slide

I can't exactly pinpoint where this dream began, for I keep remembering it from the first "plot point." I do remember seeming to be about to take place in a track meet however. I saw my sprints coach I had last year coaching the other team. I wanted to say hello, but he seemed too busy. I eventually went into some line to get on our bleachers or something, when I noticed something odd; a guy slid down a handrail on the stairs, and there was no small flat part at the end of the rail. As a result, he fell onto his head at full speed, and was knocked out cold. Everyone stared at disbelief for a little; then one guy I know went by him and started joking about it. Someone else was going to dial 911 (I knew about this somehow), and thinking somewhat illogically I thought I had to get the school nurse down there. I took off into a run, which was the typical slow run I have in my dreams. In the office, I told the nurse all about the incident, noting that there was no blood at all, finding that a little weird. When I went back to the field, I met my coach from last year first. He just said hello. Moving on I saw my English teacher, and we had a nonsensical conversation I can't remember. I also one of my friends, but she didn't say anything.

      SUV Dogfight

I began this dream playing a video game I understood to be the H.A.W.X. demo. I had read somewhere that the ground textures were bad, but for me they looked brilliant for a moment, before succumbing to my expectations. I found the controls to be snappy and responsive. At first I shot down some other fighter jets (a small HUD showed I had a huge 47 missiles), but soon the dogfight became between me and a flying, green SUV. There were times when the SUV dropped from the sky and would rebound from the ground, suffering extremely realistic damage (so much so I'm impressed my mind could come up with it). I was curious if there was a cockpit view from the car, but the scene changed. I was now watching TV, and there was a public service announcement on; it is quite odd and I'll be keeping that to myself thank you... After that, the scene changed again and I was driving a car, waiting at a red light. I waited for minutes until the light finally changed. I noted the car's acceleration seemed too sluggish.

My recall from last night is bad, because I fell asleep quite late. Next two days I'll also be away from home, so my recall with likely be a bit different. Something funny from last night, or maybe a night before, is that I have a memory of having eaten a fork, or something like that. I do not know if it is just a confused, real life memory of accidentally biting a fork, or dreaming I ate one.

      Bottle Rocket Testing

In this dream I wanted to try out my Science Olympiad bottle rocket. I appear to have been on a normal, grass field, with my sister controlling the launcher. Being a water rocket, she controlled the air pressure. I remembered my biggest concern was the deployment of my parachute. I put my "rocket" (which in the dream was a large, five gallon barrel), and my parachute on top. When it was on the launcher, I remembered I didn't put any water into the rocket, so it didn't go very high. My parachute did deploy though. I wanted to get water in the rocket, but my mom woke me up.

Recall wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but still pretty bad. I had a lucid dream; one of my first dreams of the night. However, not having my dream journal handy has made me forget most of it by now, seven hours later.

      Sunday 2/15/09
      The Rocket Shop

Fragmented recall, but in the beginning I was in a somewhat big store that sold model rocket parts. I started to talk to someone about my school (for some reason assuming we went to the same one), before realizing that I was currently in Los Angeles, not my town. He asked me where I was from, and when I answered, instantly a lot of people I know came by and said they were also from there. I noticed I hardly knew anything of what was being sold, so I took a closer look. I saw a toy rocket in a box, and in the end discovered I was holding some things I wanted to buy, with no memory of picking them out. I very nearly walked out of the store without paying, before realizing my mistake, and walking back. The woman at the register seemed to be in a long conversation with the customer in front of me, but the customer moved aside as soon as I came. I noticed I was holding a piece of metal that could be used for making the engine mount. Those were useful, and probably cheap if I could buy them alone. I went to look for more, but as it turned out the metal piece "grew" an extra part the next time I looked, and so did all the other pieces I was looking at. Obviously, these were not what I wanted...

      Dream Views Lucidity

Boringly funny dream; I was on Dream Views in LD Chat. Then, no-name posted a long post, that seemed to be copied and pasted directly from a dream journal. I caught "RC," and the passage appeared to be about how he had become lucid. I got out of chat, and somehow became lucid myself with no cue. Good then... I was already on the dream internet, so I might as well read the post in front of me. I can't remember what it said, but the post did make sense, sort of. Every sentence was short (five words at most) but I didn't notice anything particularly odd about them. I decided it was time to go actually do something with my lucidity, but made the mistake of thinking, "This is my first dream of the night... those are usually only about ten minutes long!" It's only natural, then, that my recall suddenly ends there.

      Dream Fragment: Water Park

I was first talking to my friend, who said we were going to a water park at 6 PM, and leaving at 12AM. I was then at the park, with my friend. I saw a spiral staircase to go down the slide, and noted that the line was short.

I remembered a decent, and funny dream from last night. The moment of realization of my mistake is simply priceless. It was an early dream though, so I don't remember much of it at all. I also had very short morning dream.

      Monday 2/16/09
      Trains don't have Car Compartments

I remember beginning this dream driving my family's car with my brother. It was day. I understood myself to have gotten to where I was going; I saw three pretty girls were dancing on a stage, and it appeared to be night. I watched them a little, then went elsewhere. I remember seeing my dad. I soon forgot about my dad, and it seems only my brother and I were present. We had to get back home, so we took a train (my brother's idea). I leaned out on the window, looking out, seeing silhouetted shapes drift past in the night. I reasoned the speed was forty, perhaps fifty miles per hour. "What about our car?" asked my brother. The car!?! I must have left it back in the parking lot! I couldn't go back now; I was already on the train. I felt like such an idiot (rightfully), and opened up my cell phone to call my mom and tell her, wanting to get it over with. My phone didn't work, so I asked a man near me to use his. "For what?" he asked. "I just want to call my mom." I called her up, and tried to tell her what I did, but my voice wasn't working. I was waking up, and it was difficult to talk. I could only groan a little until I awoke.

      Rocket Motors

I started this dream creating a rocket. I had the tube, and understood the fins to already be on. I packed in some parachute and wanted to put in a motor to launch it. I saw a pile of motors, and walked toward them. I saw a whole bunch of "I" motors, and an "E" motor. I found the guy who seemed to be responsible for them. I asked if he thought the "E" would work, and he laughed. I realized my stupidity; the rocket was huge, the "E" would do nothing. I joked about it, pretending my hand was the launch pad and that the motor was working without the rocket moving. I found a very long and skinny "I" motor, and he told me it would be best. I awoke briefly, and when I fell back asleep I dreamt of bottle rockets. I was watching a YouTube video, in which a guy was cutting up a bottle to make a bottle rocket.

      Dream Fragment: Pelican

I climb a mountain of snow, and sit on a bench beside a pelican. I know I won the acting competition. This pelican is good as gone.

That pelican fragment made me laugh. Have you ever played the old Nintendo videogame Ice Climbers? If I'm remembering it right, a pelican or pterodactyl carries an eggplant to the top of a mountain of snow and ice. You have to battle your way through baby seals and penguins to retrieve it.

Nope, I haven't played that game. Thanks for reading my journal though, it was a pretty funny fragment. As you may be able to tell from a glance, this is not a usual post. Basically, what I want to say is that I'm moving this dream journal to a different location (MM). I will thereby not be posting in this thread unless, perhaps, I have an absolutely amazing dream I had to share. If anybody was an avid reader of this (doubt it!), and doesn't yet understand what I mean by this post, just PM me and I'll fill you guys in.

      Thanks.

Well, looks like MM suffered from a major system crash, and won't be up for another week or so, so back to my Dream Views dream journal. Dreams from last night are fragmented and short.

      Friday 7/10/09
      Seattle Car Crash

I remember starting this dream in a car which my mom was driving. It was a cloudy day; typical of Seattle. I suddenly just expected to crash. I knew we were going to crash. In a few moments, the front end of the car had gone over a cliff, but magically had stopped before going over. Oddly, the car was completely wrecked, but we were all alright. Except for one person apparently, I learned. I found the part of a leg from below the knee just laying there in the car. Undisturbed, I took it with me. Apparently my mom's friend (I hadn't seen her in the car) had been seriously injured in the crash and had to have her leg amputated. We had to go visit her in the hospital. We went to the hospital, but I entered the wrong door and found four hardly clothed gay men, which I found quite humorous, and I remembered that the correct door was one door down. Still laughing, I opened the other door, which had a few doctors but no sign of my mom's friend. They took the leg from me as if the whole purpose of the place was to collect body parts. Later we found her outside the hospital, and I was amazed at how realistic the prosthetic was. I couldn't see where it would be, but she showed me and peeled back her fake silicon skin. As expected, the leg was amputated just below the knee. I noted that now the prosthetic was very obvious, and had a metal frame surrounding the foot.

      Stupid Smart People

I began this dream in a friendly glider competition which two groups had made. The first took off nicely, but later swooped to the left and crashed into a wall (the area appeared outdoors, but had walls). Ours made a lovely flight and I was very proud of our team's little glider. My friend threw it up into the air, nearly hitting the roof. It was a really nice glider... and it was almost as if it purposely avoided the walls! We were now walking out of the room; I got to keep the glider. I heard a girl that everyone thought of as very smart just complaining about how she had lost the silly contest, which annoyed me because she was being so whiny. I entered a car, and noted the seat was in a funny upward position, and used the controls for the window to bring it back down. I then had a thought that the girl was really probably dumb in everything but booksmarts... I arrived at some sort of mall, which I understood to represent Yahoo Answers. A woman was about to ask a question about Michael Jackson, but she had misspelled his name, which I told her so that she didn't get some sarcastic answer like, "Who's Michael Tackson?" I passed a woman which stated: "If someone asks me if I'm tall I say I'm short. If someone asks me if I'm short, I say I'm tall." For whatever reason I replaced short with "flaccid" and tall with "erect" which I thought was a good joke in the dream. But it really isn't.
