Smile Amazing LD that left me euphoric for four hours!!!

      Thursday 18th December, 2008

I had been in a ND (normal nonlucid dream) for ages when I see this kid fall from somewhere high onto the ground in front of me. He is badly hurt and his brother and mum don’t know what to do. I ask his mum if she has any pain relief in her house. She goes and gets her first aid box and I start looking through it. I am specifically looking for Diclofenac (an anti-inflammatory analgesic). I find a bottle that has “diclofenac” written perfectly on the outside. The scenery changes and I am now inside her house. I keep looking through the first aid box and I start to notice it has heaps of items in it that are identical to those in my own first aid box. Then I start finding more and more items which are identical to things I’ve owned in the past. At first I think it is all just a coincidence until I find a unique ballerina brooch identical to one I’d owned when I was about seven years old. I mean, it was getting ridiculous! I still don't click that it is a dream but think it's a good time to do a RC. I fully expect the test to pass. I am dumbfounded when it fails! So I am now lucid.

I then tell the kid's mother that I'm going off to talk to someone (my lucid goal). She is cool with that so I walk out of the room and see a hallway. As I enter the hallway I remember what DV member WolfeDreamer531 suggested as a dream goal which was to simply stop and “take everything in” I do this and it is amazing! (I strongly suggest others try this when lucid!) The clarity increased tenfold and I was blown away by the detail of the hallway. I walk down the hallway and there is a room at the end of it where I see an aquarium full of beautiful fish. The fish float out into the air and start drifting towards me. They are SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I reach out and touch one.

Then I see a closed door and will my beloved D who is deceased to be behind it. I open the door and walk in but the room is completely empty. I am pretty disappointed. (I am having real trouble summoning this person at the moment. I have succeeded in the past but now I just can’t seem to do it.)

Anyway, I don't want to waste lucid time trying to think of another way to achieve this. I figure I am better to think it through when awake, so I walk out the back door. Outside is a carnival scene and lots of people everywhere. I see a guy and somehow know he is the brother of a childhood friend of mine named Angela. I start walking along beside him. I haven’t seen Angela for 30 years in RL so just for a laugh I ask her brother “Hey, what’s your sister up to these days?”. He replies “oh her cell phone has been playing up”.

Anyway, we are coming up to this building and I suddenly think that it would be boring to go in there and that I want to do something fun. I decide to do some flying coz I haven't flown for a while and I feel like showing off to everyone and amazing them all. Well, holy cow it is amazing alright! I float up quite high into the air and this GLORIOUS music starts playing. It is orchestral and it is “I dreamed a dream” from the musical “Les Miserables”. I can’t describe how thrilling it felt to be flying high above the carnival below with this tune bellowing out from the heavens. It was one of the most exhilarating experiences in my life. I see a woman wearing a green top walking on the ground and I decide to swoop down from behind her and zoom across in front of her to give her a surprise. As I'm doing this I wake up.

Well… I spent the next four hours completely euphoric. I can't remember ever feeling so happy before. It was bizarre. I have never taken substances ever but it felt like I was on some kind of drug-induced trip. My mood was just so extraordinarily exuberant. I was singing at the top of my lungs and jigging in my car all the way down the freeway to work and singing and dancing in the operating room when we were setting up for the first operation I mean, I’m naturally a very happy, high-spirited person but this was off the wall! I swear if I could invent some kind of safe, natural, herbal supplement that induced this feeling I would be a multi BILLIONAIRE.

It was weird because I distinctly noticed myself “come down” from the high at around 10am. However I still remained remarkably happy for the rest of the day. So so strange but so unbelievably cool!

      Garden of Eden

      Sunday 19th April 2008

Woke up early so did a WILD with the goal of meeting my deceased loved one “D” in a beautiful garden. I successfully enter a dream and find myself on a roller coaster. I am lucid. Immediately I steer my carriage off the rails and fly away to a beautiful garden where I land and get out of the roller coaster car. I will my lovely D to be behind some nearby trees. I walk around the trees and he is there sitting on a park bench. He looks so handsome and healthy. I walk straight over to him, grab hold of him and ask him to tell me something about the future which is my goal question. He looks a bit puzzled so I say again, “tell me something that’s going to happen in the future”. He thinks for a second then says, “Okay. Mum is going to die of Littlepox”.

I then have a FA which is unbelievably realistic and I don’t immediately catch the fact that I’m still dreaming. I had done the WILD with a sleep mask on and it was still on. I lift the mask off my eyes and the room is dark. I sit up in bed thinking how amazing it is that I’ve just succeeded with my lucid goal. I glance briefly to my left and as I look away I realise I've just seen a pink poster of Minnie Mouse on my wardrobe door which I definitely do not have in RL! I realize I must still be dreaming. Then I hear my husband coming into my room so I quickly lie back down, close my eyes and pretend to be asleep. I do this because I’m not sure if it’s him in RL coming through or in my dream and I don’t want to interact. He comes in and shines a torch in my face. I keep my eyes shut. He then leaves. I get up and do some RCs. I try to put my arm through the wall but end up having another FA.

I’m back in bed. I get up and suspect I’m dreaming but before I can do my RCs my husband comes back through. I tell him I’m just sleep walking and to please leave me to it. He leaves. I do my RCs and confirm I’m dreaming. I try to walk through my wall to get back to the garden but I wake up for real.

This is the garden I was in. D was behind the tree...

      Lesbian Burglar

Woke at 3am and did a WBTB at 4am.

It’s morning and I go downstairs and discover we’ve been burgled during the night and the whole of downstairs is trashed. It looks like a bomb has hit it and the TV is gone amongst other things. I call Chris, who comes downstairs, takes a look at the mess then suddenly runs out the front door having spotted the burglar. He catches the burglar who is a big butch lesbian and drags her back into the house. I’m so mad I begin fighting her (unbelievably out of character for me). She has a knife. As I’m fighting I realize I’m dreaming so I grab a knife off the bench and stab her a couple of times, first in the abdomen then in the face. I then think about how unpleasant this is and how it doesn’t have to be an unpleasant dream. At this point my sister is now there too. I quickly check my left hand. I have 5 digits but one of them looks funny. I look away and back again and I have lots of fingers.

I then decide to walk out the front door. I have to keep reminding myself that Chris and my sister are only DCs because it feels wrong to leave them alone with a knife-wielding burglar. However I want to go and do my own thing. I walk out the front door and cross the road to the park where I decide to fly. I begin floating upwards but then I look back and the lesbian-burglar has come outside along with my sister, Chris and also my mum. I get the feeling the lesbian-burglar is going to fly after me so I decide to throw the knife into her heart to kill her. I do this with success. I then will her back to life and she is now all healed and a nice person

Then me, my sister, my mum, Chris and the now nice lesbian-burglar get into a red car and start to fly. My mum is driving and I’m in the passenger seat. We land and are driving along a road which is suddenly blocked by a man in a black car. Mum crashes into the car and shunts it away. She’s about to hit the car again but I tell her to fly over the top of it. She says she doesn’t know how so I say I’ll make the car fly and I push a button. We take off into the air.

Then I turn to the DCs in the back seat and ask them “How did the cosmos originate?” At this point my mum butts in and says “Oh, can I just ask a quick question first?” She then asks “how was the recital?” I’m annoyed by her pointless interruption and start trying to push her out of the car coz she is a distracting DC. Unfortunately before I get my answer I wake up.

      Distant Planet

      Tuesday 25th November 2008

After a four month break from LD I decided to get back into it. It took me about three weeks to have my first one but here it is...

I woke up at 5am and attempted WILD. After a while I had a powerful hypnagogic image. I knew I was about to be successful. Sure enough I found myself in a dream although at first I wasn’t lucid. I was in a rocket launching into space. I was thinking about the crew of the Challenger and feeling sad for them.

Next I have landed on a distant planet and am in a the stairwell of a strange building. I see a person asleep on a landing and I creep past him. I go into a room. The door closes loudly behind me. I'm high up in the building. Suddenly I sense the feeling of being in a dream. I check my left hand and it looks almost normal except the fingers are slightly webbed looking. I’m really worried about waking up because I’ve waited to be lucid for three whole weeks so I rub my hands together to stabilise the dream and I look around. The room has a strange feel to it. The lighting is sort of sepia toned. I am strangely alone. I then do a quick levitation to keep busy and prevent waking up. It takes me three attempts to get airborne as the dreamscape is incredibly vivid and because it feels so real it is hard to accept that I will be able to fly. I then float through to the next room looking for D. He is not there.

I decide to go somewhere more interesting so I land and walk back into the first room I was in and I see a dark brown closed wooden door. I will a specific dreamscape to be behind it but instead when I open it I see a tiny balcony overlooking a gothic-style town bathed in eery moonlight. It was such an amazing dreamscape! Partly what made it so cool was that it was not at all what I had expected to see which made it so much more real.

I walk back into the room then I walk into another room. It’s a bathroom. I see some dolls on a shelf on the wall and their dresses are the most dazzlingly vibrant colours. A deep rich burgundy with lime green polka dots that are almost electric. It is the first time I have seen the “dream colours” I’ve read about so often. Unfortunately I wake up.

I've included a picture. This is what the room looked like. The lighting is identical however there were no bar stools, fridge etc in the room I was in. Click on the pic to enlarge.

Unhappy Troll attack during a bizarre FA

      Friday 28th November, 2008

Woke up at 4.15am and tried to WILD for two and a half hours. Finally I found myself standing in one of the operating theatres at work nonlucid. There is a good looking guy in the room and I’m complaining to him how I’m not having much luck with my lucid dreaming at the moment. He says “is this strange?” and pulls out a gun and points it at me. He then says “shouldn’t you do a reality check?” I agree that I should so I look at my hand and realize I’m dreaming. Immediately I have a FA but it is really really weird…

I’m lying in my bed on my side with my eyes shut and my body is vibrating. Suddenly my body starts moving on its own. I think to myself that I must have just caught my body shifting positions which is normal when you sleep. It is the weirdest feeling ever because my body is moving with no conscious control from me. My body turns over and then my legs start lifting in the air. I’m thinking ‘hang on there’s no way people do this while they sleep’. I’m wondering what is going on. Suddenly my legs lower down and a troll climbs onto my bed and sits on top of me pinning my arms down. The troll looks like Jabba the Hutt from Starwars. I’m finding it hard to breathe. A small dog is running around my head yapping. I’m aware now that it’s an hallucination so I’m not concerned. However I am annoyed at the troll for stopping me going and getting on with my dream. I wake up.

Hahaha! Ohh, that's hilarious. You sang in the operating room? You walk up the person's bed humming zippidy doo da and say, "The surgery is very dangerous, and you might die. Well good luck!" I know what you mean. The feeling of freedom is exhilarating.
Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

Smile An Officer and a Gentleman ~ Awesome Dream!!!

The girlies will love this one! I woke up at 7am having missed a few vital dreamsigns and not having had anything close to a LD. So I got up and went to the loo thinking how I might have to give up on LDing altogether. I had a drink of water and decided that I'm going to WILD if it's the last thing I do! I grabbed my sleep mask, told hubby not to disturb me if he values his life and went BTB and attempt WILD!

Suddenly I am sitting on a couch beside my sister feeling like I just woke up from a nap. She turns and asks me "Hey, where did you get your nails from?" (I have never worn false nails in my entire life but not only that, my sister would never ask me about my nails - she's a total feminist!). I think, 'that's weird' and do a reality check. Bingo! I'm immediately lucid. I stand up, turn to my sister and say "thanks R!" I then tell her I'm going to summon our late brother, D who was killed in an accident a few years ago but then I feel the dream fading and I don't manage to stabilise it. I have a brief awakening then fall back into a new nonlucid dream...

I'm in an airport departure lounge. I'm walking around looking for a spare seat. I see a young man who looks a bit like my brother. It is a consistent lucid goal of mine to meet my brother in my lucid dreams. Suddenly I realise I'm dreaming again. As I look at the guy he morphs into my brother. Upon seeing him I am overwhelmed with love and emotion. He looks so handsome. (My brother was incredibly good looking and he was also one of the most intelligent and kind-hearted human beings I've ever known on this earth.) I walk over to him and hug him. He is wearing a blue and white striped shirt. I ask him my Lucid Goal Question, "Was I a good sister to you?" only the word 'you' comes out as 'do'. He teases me and repeats, "was I a good sister to do?". I ask him again. He then gives me a look that says 'you don't need to ask' and telepathically affirms that we had a wonderful relationship and of course I was a good sister. Suddenly my husband is there too. I introduce my brother and my husband who, sadly, never met in RL. They shake hands and I am overwhelmed and start crying.

Then I say to them "If we just stand here I'm going to wake up, so let's go and ride on top of a jet as it takes off". (I think I must have got this idea from Yurithebest's Dream Journal!) They both know we are in a dream and so don't have a problem with this 'impossible' suggestion! I then look through a big glass window and see a huge US fighter jet taxiing onto the runway. I run over to the large window and my brother and husband follow. There are of course no doors and or windows that open as it's a secure airport lounge so I shout "just jump through the glass!" I then hurl myself at the glass but I just smack into it! "That's crap" I say and try putting my arm through. My hand just hits the glass. I push hard but it won't go through. I try and will myself to push my hand through. I've walked through walls lots of times in my LDs, but this time it doesn't work. Just resistance! My bro and hub are putting their arms through successfully. About four other people come along and put their arms through the glass, but I can't. I'm kind of amused at this and am wondering why my lucid powers are so useless all of a sudden.

      Then I DEILD.

I re-enter the same dream, still lucid. It's just me and my husband, C present. I tell him I have to put my arm through some glass to prove to myself that I can do it. He finds a window and says "here's a window". I go over to it. C puts his hand through and says to me, "Come on, you can do it. There is no spoon." I concentrate hard and my arm goes through the glass beautifully! I do this a couple more times then I turn to a DC who is standing nearby and say to him, "Hey watch this!" I put my arm through again then ask him, "Have you ever seen anybody do that before?" He looks thoughtful then replies, "Yeah, once in Rotorua". I jokingly call him a smart arse then walk off. I turn back to check if C is following. He is, but he is now wearing a fancy pilot uniform! He looks amazingly handsome. I laugh at him because I know he's changed his clothes to amuse me. He has a twinkle in his eye. I automatically know what he's thinking. I say, "Oh you gotta do it!". He replies "Just give me a second". He adjusts his cap and then the music from the final scene of 'An Officer and a Gentleman' starts playing! He comes over and sweeps me off my feet into his arms and starts walking across the airport with me. People are clapping and cheering. It's just like the movie! Love lift us up where we belong, where the eagles fly on a mountain high, love makes us act like we are fools... It's amazing and exhilarating and hilarious and unexpected all at once. I love how the dream surprised me. I woke up elated!

Question Couldn't Trust My RC :(

Unfortunately last night I was in a life or death situation and this interferred with my lucidity. Here is my dream...

I am at work in the operating room. We are operating on someone I know, M. She is on the table having been anaesthetised when she starts crashing. Very quickly she arrests. It is unusual for a patient to have a cardiac arrest where I work so I do a quick RC. I pinch my nose and find I can breathe. I am very confused by my ability to breathe because I am completely believing it's not a dream and is in fact RL. Unfortunately I am unable to perform any back-up RCs because the patient is in cardiac arrest and I can't risk being wrong.

(I mean, can you imagine the newspaper headlines if somehow I was wrong about it being a dream? Nurse walks away as patient suffers cardiac arrest because she thinks it's a dream. Or... Nurse seen jumping around the room and punching the wall as patient lies dying on operating table.)

The dream continued and I felt I had no choice but to assume it was real. Everything was so 'normal'. The anaesthetist was drawing up drugs, the monitor was alarming etc etc. So I carried on trying to save the patient. Then the anaesthetist called it (this means she's dead). I couldn't believe how quickly he'd given up. I did another nose pinch test but refused to believe I was dreaming. What an idiot!

When I woke up I was so bummed out!

it happens- use it as training rather than letting it discourage you- think of steps you could have taken to gain lucidity- what RC's would have been best for that situation? For instance I'm no healer but those medicine bottle thingies have labels right- you could try doing a text RC on one of them next time, or try levitating. Cheers!

Congratulations on getting to talk to your brother. That was a nice dream. Sorry to hear about what happened to him!

at all the DC's putting there arms through the glass and you can't. At least you eventually did it. I'm actually trying planning to try pushing my hand through a wall one of these times soon. I often push my finger through my hand as an RC and I want to to try doing the same thing with a wall.

And those WILD's. I have trouble staying in them too, but I Keep getting better at it little by little. It's easy for me to WILD into a scene, I just can't stay in them long. I did it several times this morning, and had one that was nearly countable. I'll probably post that one in my journal later.

I can see how that last dream could have been a difficult situation to be in.
I hate when I don't believe my nose RC's. One thing to try and remember. (Like Laberge mentions in his book.) If you find yourself seriously wondering if your dreaming... You probably are. I've only remembered that once in a dream.

Thanks guys! Oh I forgot to mention that during the dream I did actually do one back-up RC which was to look at my hand and ring. Well they both looked completely normal, right down to the 6 tiny prongs on my diamond solitaire. I was so convinced it was RL. My ring looked perfect. Dammit!!!

So yesterday I must have done about 50 RCs (I'm getting so good at thinking to do them) and every time I did one I stopped and repeated aloud "if I was able to breathe through my nose then it means I'm definitely dreaming no matter how real it seems". I really hope it sinks in.

Did a wonderful WILD this morning into some beautiful dream scenes but each only last about 2-3 seconds. Such a shame. Hopefully will do better tonight!

Pretty fucked off with DV to be honest for closing this thread

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=74275

It's obviously a case of siding with an older member over a newer one even though the older member has actually broken forum rules and there was nothing really wrong with the original post but someone just wanted to be a smartarse about it.

I am considering erasing my entire journal and never coming back to dv. And before any moderators get their knickers in a twist like an immature spoiled teenager might they may want to actually read back through my post history and assess whether i'm a valuable member or not and whether they want to lose me.

This is pretty much the final straw for me.

      Quite frankly it's pathetic.

Hey DS, I've still been LDing, just haven't been posting here but think I may start again - just for you! Got a few to catch up on...

      Tuesday 29th December 2009

I was driving along a winding road in the country with my friend, R. We arrived at a kind of rest stop where there was a café. We were sitting down outside and I noticed the lighting was quite beautiful. The golden sunlight was shining on the surrounding landscape. I was thinking about the song “Affirmation” by Savage Garden. Then suddenly I realized I could hear it playing inside the café. I did a reality test and noticed the numbers and letters were scrolling extra fast on my watch but didn’t pick up on the fact that I was dreaming. Instead I sat there like a moron wondering why my watch was scrolling really fast and thinking about how dreamlike everything was before eventually waking up.

I was awake for a while then I fell asleep again and pretty much went straight into a lucid dream. I just kind of drifted into lucidity. It was one of the coolest lucids I’ve ever had. It went on for ages and I had really good control of my environment. I was in a building and I went exploring. I went down some stairs into the basement of the building. It was really eery and spooky. As I walked along a deserted corridor I changed the walls from glass to solid wood. I then walked through a door and found myself in a bathroom.

The dream jumped and I was suddenly in a toilet cubicle sitting on the toilet. I was still lucid. Then I saw a bright orange snake-like creature slink under the cubicle door. It was about 15cm long. It slithered towards my feet and I decided to let it crawl on me just because I was kind of enjoying going along with whatever the dream produced. First however I did a reality test just to be absolutely certain I was dreaming. I didn't want to make a mistake and let this thing crawl on me in RL! I pressed the button on my scrolling message watch but nothing happened. I pressed it again – still nothing. I was confident once more that it was definitely a dream. I then watched as the snake creature crawled onto my right leg and clambered up over my knee onto my thigh. I then sort of willed it to burrow into my leg which it did and it slithered its way down under my skin where it squirmed around inside my foot! It's a pretty weird thing to let happen during a lucid dream but it's really hard to explain the mindset I was in. I knew this was sort of supposed to happen as part of the dream story and that I would normally have been horrified except for the fact that I was lucid hence I was enjoying secretly not being bothered by this horrific event.

Then one of the male characters from the movie Avatar came and opened the door of the cubicle and we started having sex. I was taking off my clothes and just dropping them thinking how I would never drop my clothes on the dirty floor of a public toilet in RL, much less actually sit on the loo, but how I didn’t have to worry about germs and grot because it was only a dream. The sex was awesome. It’s the first time I’ve successfully had sex in a lucid dream. The dream was so stable I was even closing my eyes without waking up. Some annoying DCs came in at one stage and were talking to each other but I willed them to disappear with my mind. After a while enjoying this steamy encounter I did in fact wake up. I felt wonderful.

      Lucid from noticing something weird

I’m in a room in a building and I’m watching two stray cats drink water from a large bowl. The water is gross frothy swamp water but despite this they’re lapping it up furiously and I decide that the cats must be really thirsty. I’m talking to a friend on the phone and I ask her if she wants the cats but she says no. Then two birds fly in overhead and are flying around the room. Then the wings of one of them fall on the floor. I say “that’s so weird! I’ve never seen a bird do that!” I decide to do a reality test. I push the button on my LED watch and a whole lot of faint, jumbled words scroll across the screen. I realize I’m dreaming.

I walk out of the room and I’m on a mezzanine floor. I immediately fly over the wooden banister. The floor below is a bookshop and as I gently float down and land there I’m singing in this beautiful voice the song “I dreamed a dream”. I think I do a few things when I get down here but I can’t really remember. Then I fly again over some tables with books on them. There are customers in the shop. I fly around for quite a while then I fly through the door of the shop and land outside on the footpath. There is a pole there and I decide to show off with some pole dancing since I know the crowd will be amazed at how I can defy the laws of physics. I perform some amazing pole acrobatics swinging wildly round the pole while the crowd oohs and aahs. (I’ve never pole danced in RL!) There is a guy watching me and he’s quite cute so I decide to have sex with him. We go around a corner for some privacy but the dream ends and I have a FA.
Not recognizing it, I record the lucid dream I just had onto my voice recorder and continue dreaming nonlucidly.

      Lucid time = 3 mins

      1) Automatic lucidity
      2) Lucidity from a strange cloud

Recorded at 06:54 - This lucid dream was rather odd. I was conscious before the dream even began and was automatically lucid right from the start. It followed a brief awakening. I found myself drifting off to sleep and watched while a dream formed around me. I was in a shopping mall surrounded by a whole lot of young women. One of them was annoyed with me for sleeping with her boyfriend which I had an awareness of having done. She blamed me for our tryst and I said “Oh come on, it’s not like a guy accidentally sticks his dick in someone”. Then I shouted out “I can do anything because I’m dreaming!” Then I tried to fire electricity out of my hands but nothing came out. I found myself wrestling with a few of the girls for a bit then I managed to separate myself from the tussle and walk away.

I walked outside and saw a toilet bowl with poos floating in it. I was in the typical lucid rush-around-doing-whatever-you-wouldn’t-do-in-real-life mode so reached into the bowl to grab a floating poo with the intention of eating it! But then I thought nah I don’t want to do that even when it’s not real. Then I woke up.

0810 After going back to sleep I had another lucid dream which was one of my most profound to date. I was outside a house in a yard. My sister R was there and quite a few people were around. There was a barn nearby and I saw that it had a picture of a sheep on it. I then looked up into the sky and saw a cloud that looked a lot like a sheep. R then said “look at that cloud, it looks so much like a sheep”. I replied “yeah, I was just thinking that”. R pulled out a camera and started taking a picture. I decided to do a reality test but started running inside to get my camera at the same time so I would be able to get a photograph, just in case it wasn’t a dream.

I looked at my watch and the numbers were all changing and I knew immediately it was a dream. Then as I watched, the numbers changed and spelled out “Dreams” which I thought was pretty cool. By this time I was in the lounge. I grabbed my camera anyway and ran back outside willing my deceased brother D to be outside. I got outside but he wasn’t there, so I started taking a photo of the cloud just to see how my camera worked. I found it interesting to know that I didn’t have to worry about what getting a good picture as it was a dream. I turned to my sister and said “by the way, the jig is up. I know I’m dreaming”.

Suddenly I noticed my brother was now standing beside me. So I grabbed him and pulled him aside saying “D, I have to talk to you, I have to talk to you”. I turned to my sister and said “you can come too”. We walked over to a private area in the garden. Then I asked my brother “am I going to see you again” (which has been a lucid goal of mine for nearly a year.) He said “of course”, but I knew he meant I would see him again in my dreams, so I said “no, I mean after I die? Is there a heaven?” He said “no”. I said “What happens? What happens?” He replied in a somber and slightly sad manner, “there’s just nothing”. I said “okay” feeling very sad.

Then I had a FA during which I was trying to tell mum about the dream but she was annoyed with me for not picking up some groceries that she’d apparently asked me to do. I said I had no memory of her asking me that. Then I was rinsing plates and I accidentally poured a whole lot of prune stones down the sink.

This was an hilarious dream. I recommend reading even the nonlucid part as it is quite amusing.

I would like to point out first that I am in no way a racist person. In fact, I actually have a person of the same ethnicity as the DC in this dream working for mine and my husband's business. I simply wanted to say the most offensive things anyone can say as I knew I was only dreaming.

I awoke with a start at 2:45am. Very quickly I realized I needed to go to the toilet which annoyed me greatly as I knew it would wake me right up and I had work the following day. Sure enough when I got back into bed I was wide awake and really excited about the day ahead since I would be picking up a new camera lens on the way to work. I figured since I was so wide awake and I had plenty of night left I should try and have a lucid since I’ve been trying so hard for nearly a week now since I got back into it but have just been sleeping straight through the nights.

I lay awake for a while attempting WILD but my thoughts kept wandering. I desperately wanted to check my emails but didn’t want to wake up my husband. Then my husband woke up by himself and went to the toilet which was brilliant as it meant I could switch on my pc. I checked my emails and then went to bed in the spare room (so as not to be disturbed) where I made a studious attempt to WILD.

My nonlucid dreaming began seamlessly and was of me still in the bed trying to WILD. This dream carried on for ages. I eventually decided the WILD attempt just wasn’t working and that I just needed to forget about it and get to sleep or I’d be horribly tired the next day at work. Next thing, I noticed my laptop, which was sitting on my nightstand, was on. I thought ‘What’s my laptop doing on? How annoying. I must’ve left it on.’ Then I heard my husband coming through and I figured he had heard it whirring and would think I was awake using it so I lay still with my eyes shut and pretended to be asleep so he wouldn’t start a conversation since I was getting pretty anxious to go to sleep by this stage. (It’s funny to think I was pretending to be asleep in a dream!) However he did start talking to me and the next thing I was aware of was that he had joined me in the spare bed and was trying to get it on with me. He was showing me a sex toy that he’d bought and what it does. I was listening and watching with reasonable interest but then I suddenly remembered that it was the middle of the night and that I was needing to get to sleep. I told him we absolutely didn’t have time to get it on and he had to go back through to the other room, which he did. Then I became aware that my stereo was on loudly. Cursing this I got up and turned it off. I got back into bed and kept trying to go to sleep but then I suddenly found myself wondering ‘did I remember to take my make-up off last night before bed?’ I got up and looked in the mirror and could see mascara smudged under my eyes. ‘Damn’ I thought, ‘I should go and remove this makeup’ . So I wandered off towards the bathroom.

Next thing I’m in a room that doesn’t exist in the house in real life. There is a lovely dresser with a nice big mirror which I don’t own and it is a bright sunny day. None of these factors alerts me to the fact that I’m dreaming. I merely think ‘oh I should have been using this room to do my make up for all these years we’ve lived here. It’s really nice in here.’ There was a lady of a different ethnic origin standing at the dresser and talking to her friend of same ethnic origin who was standing on the other side of me – so I was in the middle. I reached over and grabbed some make-up removing cream and smeared it all over my face. My eyes were shut and at this point I suddenly found myself thinking that the fact that I was wandering around the house in the middle of the night suggested it was possible that I was dreaming. I believed this was pretty much impossible since I was certain I hadn’t yet fallen asleep, but I decided I should probably do a reality test anyway just to be sure.

The problem was however, I had make up remover all over my eyes and I knew that if I opened my eyes the cream would get into them. I decided to take the risk. I figured that there was a 50/50 chance I was dreaming in which case it wouldn’t matter. I opened my eyes a little bit and looked at my wrist…

My watch wasn't there! ‘Damn’ I thought, ‘I must’ve taken it off and forgotten to put it back on. What bad timing.’ But then I noticed a small reflection of my watch with its blue LED numbers in the air. ‘That’s impossible’ I thought, ‘there can’t be a reflection of something that isn’t actually there. I think I’m dreaming’.

I then decided to be really smart/rude to the ladies beside me. I don’t know why I decided this as it wasn’t a lucid goal. I guess I just wanted to be obnoxious and say shocking stuff just to see their reaction. I started walking away from them and noticed that we were now outdoors in a large garden beside a big huge white villa. I called out “hey you two” but then I decided I’d better make absolute sure it was a dream. So I walked over to a tree and checked to see if my hand would go into the trunk. Sure enough, I was able to push my hand straight into the tree trunk all the way up to my elbow. I now knew beyond a doubt that I was dreaming.

I turned back toward the two ladies who were walking across the lawn and called out “Hey I bet you wish you had nice figures like white girls have?” and waited for a reaction. They looked over. I then said “white people are so superior and that’s just the way it is but it’s not a fair comparison to compare me to you because you two are just a pair of hoebags. Slags you are. A pair of whores.” By this time I noticed my sister had appeared beside me. She was smirking and I deduced that she must know it was a dream too and so was playing along. I also noticed that the two girls had each pulled out a small-medium sized knife. ‘Wow they’re getting really pissed’ I thought excitedly. I then said “you’re not even good looking whores, you’re ugly whores” in an attempt to goad them into attacking me – not that I had actually had a defence plan!

I then decided to go and get on with something else as I didn’t want to spend the whole lucid doing one thing. I said to my sister “come on follow me! There’s going to be a beautiful rainbow in the car park!” I walked out through a large gate into a car park. My sister followed. Sure enough, there in the sky was a glorious rainbow. I marveled at its beauty and the fact that my brain had generated this wonderful vision I had wished for - a stunning lucid moment.

“Come on! Let’s fly over it!” I called to my sister and we both lifted off the ground and floated upwards towards the rainbow. It was wonderful to be experiencing this as it has been a lucid goal for a long time. It was particularly nice to be sharing the experience with my sister. Then we started gently floating back down to the ground. I felt myself waking up. I rubbed my hands and tried to stabilize the dream. I succeeded a little and did a couple more things which I can’t really remember but then I woke up.
Upon waking I realized that I had dreamed all the events that had occurred in my bedroom.

      Lucid time = 5 minutes

      Mardi Gras

      Wednesday 24th March 2010

Well it looks like I’m back to being able to get lucid at will. I went to bed at 9.20pm and awoke at 2.23am. I went to the loo but then went straight back to bed as I needed a good sleep as I had a huge day at work the next day (I was to scrub and assist a surgeon for an eight hour operation). I didn’t make much of an attempt to WILD as it was very important that I get back to sleep. I lay there priming for about 5 minutes before falling asleep.

I dream about being on holiday in South America. I'm at a sort of market/Mardi Gras in South America with a group of girls. We’re all sitting on a big square wooden platform in the middle of the market chatting away then we stand up and wander off a little bit leaving our handbags behind. Suddenly I notice a couple of guys nearby whispering to each other and then they walk over to our bags, pick a few up and walk away. I quickly run over and see that my bag has been taken. The guy who took it is wearing a red t-shirt and he hasn’t got very far so I dash over and try to pull it off his shoulder. However he doesn’t relinquish the bag. I keep hold of the bag and he’s running along dragging me along with him. Then I’m up on his shoulders and he grows in size to be really tall (like about 20 feet tall) and muscular and he lifts me high above his head with his arms. I can see people everywhere below me and I try to shout to them to “stop this thief” but barely any sound is coming out. My voice is nothing more than a whisper. I just can’t seem to shout and the crowd doesn’t notice me as I’m too high up.

Next thing I know I’ve got the bag back. I give it to a woman and tell her “look after this I’m trying to stop a thief”. I run off but the thief is nowhere to be found. I return to the woman and retrieve my bag. She has an almost identical bag to mine which is of the same make. I start explaining to the woman what just happened and as I’m doing so one of the girls in our group comes over and upon hearing me talking animatedly looks at me scathingly and tells me to “chill out”. This really pisses me off and I reply to her indignantly, “you won’t be chilling out when you discover your bag is stolen”. I then start telling her what just happened and how I’d been chasing after the thief. I tell her how I’d been trying to scream for help but nothing was coming out. As soon as I’ve said those words I think to myself ‘hang on, that’s what happens in dreams! Damn, I should have done a reality test. [color=blue]Hang on, I think I’m still dreaming.’ So I do a reality test. I look at my digital LED watch and not only are the numbers changing rapidly but they are glowing ultra violet. They looked so cool!

I feel annoyed because it meant the DC was right that I didn’t have to be all stressed. So I say in a flippant way “oh well, we’re dreaming, so it doesn’t matter”. I then walk off through the market place. I start thinking about what to do. I remember that I wanted to admire the scenery and examine things closely so I do this for a while. Then I see two mirrors side by side. I’m stunned by the clarity of them. I prance over to them and shove my hand into one but I hit a wall with my fingertips when my hand is in as far as my wrist. I try to keep pushing but with no luck. So I wander off and look at a few more things before waking up.

I’m annoyed that I didn’t look into the mirror instead as I love looking into mirrors in dreams. Never mind.

Total lucid time = 2 minutes

      Egg

      Friday 26th March, 2010

I napped the evening before from 4.20pm until 6.50pm (2.5 hours) so then after dinner I stayed up until 2am talking to my lucid dreamer friend on msn and reading a book about lucid dreaming – it was written by a man in the early 1900s and is a personal account of his discovery of lucid dreaming.

I went to sleep at 2am and awoke at 7am. I stayed awake for 1.5 hours then attempted WILD. I began dreaming nonlucidly that I was at work with my friend and colleague, R. One of the managers came and asked us if we could each shift one of the company cars parked in the carpark outside. She said they were two identical green V-dubs. I said I’d be happy to, thinking it would be quite a dreamlike experience for my friend and I to be driving around in two identical and cute cars.

We went to the main office to pick up the car keys. I went in to get them and while there the lady showed me a pair of Guess sunglasses and said they’d been handed in and were they mine? I said no but that I thought they might belong to R. So I took them with me. When I got outside the sun was shining brightly and I tried on my newly acquired sunnies. Unfortunately they only made the glare worse so I took them off and said to R, “here you can have them”. R then got into one of the cars which was white. I went off to find the other car but when I got to it I saw that it was completely blocked in by other cars. There was a lady sitting in the car next to it and she asked me how work was going. I was too busy trying to figure out how I was going to get the car out to answer her properly and was annoyed by her distraction. Then suddenly I thought, ‘this is ridiculous. Nobody parks jamming cars in like this. I’d better do a reality test’ but then the dream faded away.

Next thing I knew I was standing in my kitchen downstairs. I started thinking ‘damn I didn’t get lucid’ but then I noticed that my benches were cluttered with crockery – bowls, plates, utensils etc and directly in front of me was a bowl with egg yoke spread haphazardly over it. I realized I had no memory of having cracked this egg and that I never let my kitchen get this cluttered so decided to do a RT. I was pretty sure the test would show me to be dreaming and sure enough when I pressed the button on my digital LED watch the numbers 12:43 came up but they were very dim. As I walked into the lounge I noticed that the lighting was kind of hazy and muted in typical dream fashion. Instinctively I went to put my hand into the TV but then thought ‘no, I always put my hand into things. I should do something different’. I tried to will my brother to walk out of the spare room into the lounge where I was now standing but I got the feeling trying to generate him out of thin air wasn’t going to work . Then I remembered my lucid goal which I had actually practiced doing the previous night in almost the same spot (!!!) which was simply to turn around and look behind me. I did this and saw the kitchen and front hallway. I was impressed with how perfectly the house was replicated from waking life.

Then suddenly through the front window I noticed a guy striding down the street along the sidewalk. He disappeared behind a tree and quickly I imagined him to morph into my brother. Sure enough when he came out of the other side of the tree it was now my brother walking along the street. I raced over to the door calling his name. Without stopping to open it I simply osmosed through to the other side. I was now out on the street. It was quite bright and sunny. I kept calling to my brother and he turned and started walking towards me but I woke up.

It was still lovely just to see him walking around even though we didn’t get to talk.

      Lucid time = 1 minute

      Spooky Street

      Thursday 1st April 2010

7.23am I’m in a house at a birthday party. A guy brings a cake out and face plants into it then brushes the top off and re-decorates it. Then we’re inside setting up for a magic show. There’s going to be some sort of moon eclipse. I look into the sky and see the moon surrounded by all these celestial bodies. They’re all in a line at first but then they start shifting. Someone tells me they’re fossils. I ring dad to tell him about it but he already knows. He tells me they’re fossils too. I wake up annoyed that I didn’t RT. I record the dream and go back to sleep.

8.36am I’m driving to the North Shore. I park my car and am trying to put gaps in my windows but the electric windows are malfunctioning and rolling all the way down. I finally manage to get them to stop with just a small gap at the top. Then I’m out of the car walking in the back entrance of a restaurant. I walk into the toilets. A woman I used to work with a long time ago is in there (I talked about her at work earlier that day in real life). She has lost heaps of weight. She says it’s only 25kg but it looks like much more. Next thing two guys have walked into the toilets and closed the door and I know they are up to no good. I attain a low level of lucidity here and I do some karate moves on one of the guys and fire electricity at the other.

I observe as the dream melts away and a completely new dream forms around me. I am now fully lucid standing on the street where my sister lives. It is night time. There are some weird creatures around. I hear a flapping sound right behind me and something taps me on the back and darts away. I turn around and see a little Quail (a type of bird) on the sidewalk looking at me with a guilty expression. I say “hey you!” pointing my finger at it in a scolding manner, “don’t try and spoil my dream. Behave yourself!” Then suddenly a large bumblebee comes over and hovers in front of my face. I stand there watching it absolutely fascinated by the fact that this bee is a dreamland bee. I notice a large weird snake-like creature writhing and wriggling on the grass verge.

Then I hear some people coming. I look around and see two Indian women and one man walking along the path towards me. I walk over to them and ask “what are your names?” to the women. “Sally and Susan” one of them answers. Then I say to the guy “hey look at this” and flash my boobs at him. I say “do you like my boobs?” He says “no”. At this point my eyes close and I can no longer see. I try to force my eyes open but am unsuccessful. I wake up.

      Thursday 8th April 2010

I got lucid quite early on in the night last night. When I awoke from it the time was only 2am.

I'm in a pub playing pool with some random people. I'm doing something with the pool cues on the wall (I'm not sure what) but I'm playing some kind of practical joke on one of the girls in the room. The others in the room are in on the prank. I take her cue out of the pub to the street outside but she follows me out. Quickly I put the cue behind my back in an attempt to hide it from her. She can see I've got something behind my back and I tell her not to look because it's her birthday present. I call out “help!” to my friends in the pub to try and get someone to come and distract the girl. A guy comes out, but instead of playing along and trying to divert her attention he starts showing me a flower he has in his hand and rambling something about his girlfriend which I can't understand.

I'm so confused by his incoherent ramblings that I say “I don't know what the hell you're on about. I'm doing a reality test”. I then look at my digital watch. The numbers are going mental. I immediately realize I'm dreaming. I walk back inside the pub, which has now become my old bedroom, and shout to everybody “this is a dream!” I feel in the mood to dance around to my favourite dream song so I go over to my stereo and push play. The play button is a heart-shaped marshmallow! I'm imagining hearing 'These Dreams' by Heart in an attempt to make it play in the dream but nothing happens. I start dancing around the perimeter of the room in a big circle like a complete nonce, clapping my hands and singing the song in the hopes that it will start playing but nothing happens. Everyone is following me around and around and clapping along. I do this for a short while then wake up.

      Challenged My Subconscious!

      Saturday 10th April 2010

I am so psyched about LD at the moment. As I walked across the carpark leaving work yesterday evening I decided to have one that night. I thought about some of the goals I would like to achieve in the dream. I went to bed at around half past midnight. I woke up naturally at 6am and got up for a few minutes. I then attempted WILD. I came very close to WILDing successfully incubating a hazy dream around me for a few seconds before entering non-REM sleep.

I then dreamed nonlucidly before having a FA. I was lying in my bed and I could hear my husband having difficulty starting his van outside in the driveway. I knew he'd gone to work ages ago so recognised I was dreaming. I got up and went over to the window. I looked outside and the light was that eery glowing half-light typical of dreams. There were some zombie-like children walking past below my window. I called out “hey what's going on?” to get their attention. They looked up at me but I woke up.

I then drifted back to sleep and dreamed some more nonlucidly before having a FA. I sensed someone had climbed into my bed. I knew this was impossible as my husband had left for work. So I did a reality test. I pulled my sleep mask up and pushed the button on my LED watch. The numbers were clear 6:04 and normal but they scrolled right across instead of stopping. I pushed it again to be sure and this time 4:47 scrolled across. I looked over to see who was in my bed. It was my sister. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was going to listen to some music. She was wearing earphones attached to an ipod. She then switched it on and music came on really really loudly. I shouted at her to turn it off which she did. I found this ironic since all of yesterday I'd been thinking about how in my last LD I hadn't been able to produce music at will.

I then said to her “Listen, you can cut out the mumbo jumbo act of pretending to be a DC. I know that you're me. I want you to give me a message from my subconscious. Tell me something important.” She mumbled something incoherent. I said “pardon?” She then said something nonsensical and barely coherent (I can't remember what). I was thinking 'wow, I wonder where on earth this is coming from' because I was deliberately blanking my mind in order not to influence what she said. At this point I glanced around the room and noticed that one wall was missing and we were beside a forest glade. There were coloured mushrooms and garden gnomes all over the ground. I thought about grabbing my phone from my night stand to record what had occurred so far but realised I'd be recording onto my dream phone. I then turned my attention back to my sister and said very sternly “come on, give me a message”. She looked at me with a completely defeated expression and said simply “Adam”.

I then woke up elated at having achieved my lucid goal and mystified at the result.

      Beautiful Old House

      Sunday 11th April 2010

Since going to see "Alice in Wonderland" a second time I have realised that the coloured toadstools in my previous lucid dream came from the movie.

I went to bed at 10pm and awoke at 5.30am. I stayed awake for almost an hour then attempted WILD. My husband, C, left the house to go to the gym and breakfast so I could have peace and quiet for my dreaming.

After around half an hour I just wasn't falling asleep so turned onto my side and just let myself drift off to sleep. I dreamed nonlucidly for a while then I found myself on the street outside the Musical Theatre where I used to dance in a cabaret show when I was younger. I walked into the building and was amazed to see it looking exactly as it used to. I had been sure it had been completely renovated and altered. Then one of the guys, S, who used to work there walked up the stairs to the entranceway where I was standing and said “hello! How are you?” I could see another guy, A, behind the reception desk who also used to work there and who I have a lot of history with. I felt kind of strange at this point both physically and mentally. I basically didn't know what to say. Here I was all of a sudden with no idea how I got there or what I was doing there and I was at a loss for words. I realized I was probably dreaming so did a reality test to confirm it. I then felt compelled to go rushing over to talk to A and tell him that I really do love him and I'm sorry I couldn't be with him. I rushed up the stairs towards him but the dream ended and I had a FA.

I got "woken up" by my husband coming home which annoyed me greatly since he knew not to come home until I had texted him to say I was awake. He walked along towards my bed. I was in a completely different house but I did not notice this at all. I started saying “damn you just woke me up from a lucid dream!” I was really PO'd by this time. Then as I climbed out of bed he started doing the Futterwacken dance that Johnny Depp does at the end of Alice in Wonderland. At the same time I started doing a reality test, because even though I was convinced it wasn't a dream I knew I should just do one anyway. I pushed the button on my LED watch but instead of the time coming up I saw some photographs appear. I was confused by this and looked around trying to think of another test to confirm I wasn't dreaming. I saw a white crystal rock on a small table. I picked it up to see if it felt normal. It did, but I knew that was a useless test. I decided to try my watch again. I pushed the button... I simply couldn't believe my eyes when a whole lot of heiraglyphics appeared on the display!

Immeditately I shouted at C to “Go away! Go away! Honey, I'm lucid”. He knows I don't want him around to distract me in a lucid dream since I can see him in real life any time I want. Immediately he disappeared. I started walking through the house I was in. It was amazingly beautiful. It was old fashioned and there was lots of antique furniture in it with intricate little nic-nacs on display. But the most fascinating thing was that I could hear a stereo playing the song 'Do they know it's Christmas?' by Band Aid in the next room. It was playing so perfectly. I walked around the corner and into that room and saw a stereo sitting on a cabinet. I went over and turned the volume knob around to the right. The volume of the music went up ever so slightly. I turned the knob as far as it would go but the music didn't get any louder. I was a trifle miffed at this as I wanted to have a boogie!

I kept walking into the next room. It was huge and it was a mezzanine floor that ran around the edge. The center of the room was just a huge hole surrounded by a wooden bannister. I could see the ground floor beneath. There were book shelves all around. I saw some stairs off to my right leading down. I started walking toward them but then I saw a good looking guy not far away reading a book so I rushed over to him and asked “do you wanna see my tits?” I then tried to lift my top up but my clothes were bulky and all tucked in and I was having difficulty. So I said “quick, help me get my clothes off” but then I awoke.

I really must stop flashing my tits in lucid dreams! It's boring! I wish I'd thought to morph my hubby into Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. That would've been awesome!

Smile Clearest Lucid Dream In My Life

      Tuesday 13th April 2010

I went to bed around midnight. I think I got woken by a noise at 5.20am. I forced myself awake and went to the toilet. I then attempted WILD. I almost incubated a few dreams but as usual just couldn't quite get them to take hold so after about twenty minutes I turned onto my side.

I dreamed it was morning and I had gone to work. A few of us were sitting around in a room for an educational inservice on some new operating equipment. A video was playing. I was pissed off that I'd had to come to work as it had interrupted my WILD attempt and got in the way of having a lucid. I decided to sneak out and go home and carry on trying to WILD. I got up and quietly walked out of the room with nobody really noticing.

Next thing I'm in bed attempting a WILD. I notice my sleep mask has slipped around to the side which annoys me (a shame I didn't have an INRALD at this point since my new sleep mask never slips around). I hear my husband at the front door and I'm annoyed that he's interrupting. That's the last thing I remember before...

Suddenly I'm walking along the hallway inside my old house at Royal View Rd, fully lucid. It was the most amazing sensation of 'arriving into consciousness'. It's like I floated into a dream. One hundred percent lucidity washed over me and I was as conscious as I am when I'm awake. But that's not all...

The dreamscape was the absolute clearest I've ever seen in my life. I continued to walk through the dining room and into the lounge. I was completely calm. It was as if I was awake. I stood and looked around the lounge and simply could not believe how vivid and realistic it all looked. Recently I have been wanting a really vivid LD and all I could think was, 'wow, this is what I wanted to happen and boy is my mind showing me what I wanted in a monumental way'. I could see sunlight peeking through the curtains and I looked through them. Outside it was a bright sunny day.

I walked back towards the dining room. I noticed a light switch on the wall that controlled a chandelier we had in the house. It was one of the old light switches authentic to that house. I reached out and turned it on to see how well my mind would respond since the dream was so realistic. Only one bulb on the chandelier came on. I then pushed my hand through the dining room wall. I kept walking but after a few more steps I awoke.

It may have only been about 30 seconds long but this was one of the most amazing LDs I've ever had due to the clarity being every bit as real as waking life. I really felt my mind was giving me the gift I had asked for.

      DQ is back!

That's an awesome feeling isn't it? The dreams get so intensely real that while you are there it's hard to comprehend they are not.

Congrats on the in dream WILD. It's so cool when that happens.
