Whoa! That was pretty intense. It sounded like you were catapulted into a lucid dream.

Congratulations. Cool watch, by the way. I wish I had one...

Anywho, It seems your brain really knows what you want.

      Never doubt it again.
Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

      Talking Jeepers creepers, I'm useless!

Right, it's 3am and I've just woken up from a dream about being in a small seaside town hit by a tsunami. I saw this huge wave and was running from it along a dirt road. There were other villagers running too. We took refuge in an old church with a stained glass window. A lady was taking pictures of the window with her i-phone. I suddenly wondered if I'd done a reality test when I'd seen the tsunami. I just couldn't remember. I hoped I did. Then I thought 'oh well, better late than never' and did one but it failed...

Is there any hope for me?

      Cool The House

I’ve been on a short break from LDing due to being busy with my photography hobby but I decided to get back into it yesterday and last night I had a fabulous LD which was my longest yet of about twenty minutes. I went to bed at about 10pm and drifted off to sleep a short time later but then woke up at about 11pm and lay awake for about half an hour. I went back to sleep and got lucid at around midnight.

I was driving my car along a highway. It was twilight and I found myself thinking that the road looked rather beautiful and surreal and I had never seen such a place before. The way the lights were twinkling was quite spectacular and I could see what looked like a UFO on the horizon. I started thinking it looked like something out of a dream and then slowly I started wondering ‘perhaps it really is’. For some reason I didn’t look straight at my watch which is my standard RT. Instead since I was about to round a corner I thought to myself ‘let me see what’s around this corner and if it is logical’. I then rounded the corner and my car came to a complete stop in front of a shop window. I immediately thought this was ridiculous and then my whole car vanished. It kind of swished away like bad CGI and I knew I had to be dreaming.

So I was now on foot. I looked across the street I was on and saw an overgrown garden with a large house in it. I didn’t really have any major pressing lucid goals so decided I’d just explore the dreamworld. I went over to the house and then I was inside it. I wandered through the house a bit and I came to a room with large wooden ladders in it leading up to a hole in the very high ceiling. I really wanted to know what was up there in the attic so started climbing the ladders. I was mucking around a bit and decided I should get a move on before I woke up. I didn’t want to fly up because I find when I start to fly in dreams that tends to be all I do and I preferred the challenge of climbing a ladder that was really scary and high but knowing I wouldn’t get hurt if I fell.

I went up the first couple of ladders quite easily but the last one was really high and the dream was so unbelievably real and vivid. I was climbing and it felt just like it would in waking life which was quite difficult. I was way up high, hanging off this ladder feeling my full body weight. I kind of wish I had just let go of the ladder and floated up but I was loving how real my dream body felt and knew if I flew it wouldn’t feel as real anymore. I decided to abandon this mission and go do something else so I jumped off the ladder and landed on the floor with a thud. I stood there thinking how cool it was to be in a lucid dream and how I could tell I wasn’t going to wake up for a while. I was right.

I then began walking around the house. As I did I decided to look at my watch just to see the numbers go mental. My watch was clear plastic instead of black and silver and indeed the numbers were going completely ballistic! Scrolling and rolling like crazy. I stared for a few seconds fascinated. The house now had other people in it. I came across my mum and a few random children playing in a room. Mum asked me “Did you just use the toilet coz it stinks in there?” to which I replied emphatically “no I definitely did not just use the toilet” chuckling to myself that this DC couldn’t fool me. I knew full well what I’d been up to because I was loooooocid!

Next I was walking down a hallway and one of the charge nurses from my RL work was behind me making smart comments. I turned around and said to her in a raised voice “Get out of my dream!” She looked a tiny bit startled but replied “It’s your dream, you get rid of me”. I then realized that I was probably being a bit mean so I apologized to her and said I was really just practicing for when I encountered a really horrible DC like an evil, nightmarish DC like a serpent or a monster.

Anyway, the dream continued for ages with me exploring this house. I kept suddenly having a mouthful of awful tasting food during it which I would spit out.

      Lucid time = 20 minutes

      Wink Lucid again...

Well I just did a WBTB and got lucid again! I lay there trying to WILD and ended up in a nonlucid dream. I'm in a pub with my best friend N who is telling me how she bumped into a mutual friend of ours at the gym. She tells me a bit about their conversation when suddenly I realise I still have my dental protector in my mouth. I'm a bit embarrassed about this and reach up to take it out but then I remember that the last time this happened I was dreaming and so figure I'm probably dreaming again.

But before I can do a reality test I find myself lying in my bed with my body moving on its own and SP vibrations starting. Then I had a hypnagogic image of standing outside my house on a sunny day and watching a weird black creature floating up into the sky. I immediately WILDed into the scene! I put my arms out in front of me like Superman lol and floated into the air after it. It was amazing. I flew around above my suburb for a while singing John Denver's 'You fill up my senses'.

      God I love this hobby
