My Two Identical Mobile Phones
Tuesday 8th December 2009
I was in some sort of lecture room and people were murmuring and so I stood up and was crapping on about how the teacher should tell all the people talking to be quiet. Then I had a FA which I missed and spent recording my dream. I then had another FA and again spent it recording my dream. I was walking into my house with my cell phone in my hand recording my dream onto it. The front door was an automatic door which I switched off so nobody could come in. I then began pouring cereal into a bowl for breakfast (I haven’t eaten cereal for twenty years) and I saw a big black hair in the bowl. When I looked more closely I saw that it was in fact the leg of a big huge centipede. I did a reality test but had another FA.
There was a maid in my room asking me if she should wash one of my skirts. I was busy recording my dream for the THIRD time onto my mobile phone. My husband was walking around and I asked him when he was going to work. He said he just needed to make a phone call. He then picked up a mobile phone from my dresser. It was my mobile phone yet I had my phone in my hand. I realized I was dreaming but when I tried to get up off the bed the maid started attacking me. Eventually I woke up.
Challenged My Subconscious!
Saturday 10th April 2010
I am so psyched about LD at the moment. As I walked across the carpark leaving work yesterday evening I decided to have one that night. I thought about some of the goals I would like to achieve in the dream. I went to bed at around half past midnight. I woke up naturally at 6am and got up for a few minutes. I then attempted WILD. I came very close to WILDing successfully incubating a hazy dream around me for a few seconds before entering non-REM sleep.
I then dreamed nonlucidly before having a FA. I was lying in my bed and I could hear my husband having difficulty starting his van outside in the driveway. I knew he'd gone to work ages ago so recognised I was dreaming. I got up and went over to the window. I looked outside and the light was that eery glowing half-light typical of dreams. There were some zombie-like children walking past below my window. I called out “hey what's going on?” to get their attention. They looked up at me but I woke up.
I then drifted back to sleep and dreamed some more nonlucidly before having a FA. I sensed someone had climbed into my bed. I knew this was impossible as my husband had left for work. So I did a reality test. I pulled my sleep mask up and pushed the button on my LED watch. The numbers were clear 6:04 and normal but they scrolled right across instead of stopping. I pushed it again to be sure and this time 4:47 scrolled across. I looked over to see who was in my bed. It was my sister. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was going to listen to some music. She was wearing earphones attached to an ipod. She then switched it on and music came on really really loudly. I shouted at her to turn it off which she did. I found this ironic since all of yesterday I'd been thinking about how in my last LD I hadn't been able to produce music at will.
I then said to her “Listen, you can cut out the mumbo jumbo act of pretending to be a DC. I know that you're me. I want you to give me a message from my subconscious. Tell me something important.” She mumbled something incoherent. I said “pardon?” She then said something nonsensical and barely coherent (I can't remember what). I was thinking 'wow, I wonder where on earth this is coming from' because I was deliberately blanking my mind in order not to influence what she said. At this point I glanced around the room and noticed that one wall was missing and we were beside a forest glade. There were coloured mushrooms and garden gnomes all over the ground. I thought about grabbing my phone from my night stand to record what had occurred so far but realised I'd be recording onto my dream phone. I then turned my attention back to my sister and said very sternly “come on, give me a message”. She looked at me with a completely defeated expression and said simply “Adam”.
I then woke up elated at having achieved my lucid goal and mystified at the result.
Clearest Lucid Dream In My Life
Tuesday 13th April 2010
I went to bed around midnight. I think I got woken by a noise at 5.20am. I forced myself awake and went to the toilet. I then attempted WILD. I almost incubated a few dreams but as usual just couldn't quite get them to take hold so after about twenty minutes I turned onto my side.
I dreamed it was morning and I had gone to work. A few of us were sitting around in a room for an educational inservice on some new operating equipment. A video was playing. I was pissed off that I'd had to come to work as it had interrupted my WILD attempt and got in the way of having a lucid. I decided to sneak out and go home and carry on trying to WILD. I got up and quietly walked out of the room with nobody really noticing.
Next thing I'm in bed attempting a WILD. I notice my sleep mask has slipped around to the side which annoys me (a shame I didn't have an INRALD at this point since my new sleep mask never slips around). I hear my husband at the front door and I'm annoyed that he's interrupting. That's the last thing I remember before...
Suddenly I'm walking along the hallway inside my old house at Royal View Rd, fully lucid. It was the most amazing sensation of 'arriving into consciousness'. It's like I floated into a dream. One hundred percent lucidity washed over me and I was as conscious as I am when I'm awake. But that's not all...
The dreamscape was the absolute clearest I've ever seen in my life. I continued to walk through the dining room and into the lounge. I was completely calm. It was as if I was awake. I stood and looked around the lounge and simply could not believe how vivid and realistic it all looked. Recently I have been wanting a really vivid LD and all I could think was, 'wow, this is what I wanted to happen and boy is my mind showing me what I wanted in a monumental way'. I could see sunlight peeking through the curtains and I looked through them. Outside it was a bright sunny day.
I walked back towards the dining room. I noticed a light switch on the wall that controlled a chandelier we had in the house. It was one of the old light switches authentic to that house. I reached out and turned it on to see how well my mind would respond since the dream was so realistic. Only one bulb on the chandelier came on. I then pushed my hand through the dining room wall. I kept walking but after a few more steps I awoke.
It may have only been about 30 seconds long but this was one of the most amazing LDs I've ever had due to the clarity being every bit as real as waking life. I really felt my mind was giving me the gift I had asked for.
