Hi all,
I am going to give this a try. I am new here, as many can probably guess.
I can remember certain dreams from the early age of six or so. Certain images burned into the mind subject to recall from time to time. Some haunting some soothing all miraculously preserved for eternity.
I am here for the interest of discussing with others how your experiences with dreams may be similar or different to mine. I have been lucid dreaming since about age 11. Not knowing what to call them for the last 32 years, I simply referred to them as "flying dreams". I have taught my daughter to do this at age 8 and she claims to be quite good at it. No one really knows for sure except the dreamer of dreams.
I experienced many nightmares as a child. I had such vivid dreams that sleeping could sometimes be difficult. Reading now about the vivid nature of lucid dreaming, I wonder just how long I have been doing this without knowing it?
Of course I will be posting whatever dreams I can remember from here on out. My sleep patterns have been turned upside down lately for work reasons. However, this does lend itself to the opportunity to remember more dreams as the odd schedule can cause a recent dream to echo and be remembered in consciousness. We shall see.
As you may have guessed, I can fly in my dreams and I possess powers of telekinesis. I distinctly recall a flying sensation similar to falling. It is a weightlessness feeling. I can only say that my experiences falling is where I get this. But I would hold out that feeling to anyone wanting to lucid dream and fly. When you feel it, lift off. Running is another. Any physical sensation in a dream can be used. Your brain remembers from just a few hours ago what things should feel like, everything. Enter the explanation of the nocturnal emission? The telekinesis sensation will have to wait as I have not clearly defined it yet. I tried and realized that it will take some more thought to better and more fully explain it to those interested. If anyone else can help me with that, please do so. I have never met anyone who admits to being able to do this and feel it.
I have also noticed that sleep free of stress and during periods of happy life seem to create more lucid dreaming. If you are really stressed out about life or worried about something or someone or just generally insecure, you may find it very difficult to lucid dream. More precisely, I do it much more often during good times.
Enough for now. I shall return.
