The following are entries to get my journal current. The format for my entries will more than likely evolve as I improve on my journal entry skills.

Thurs - 10/18/07

Dream 1 - Witness an execution by hanging

Watching a blonde girl (about 24yrs old) in line with two others waiting to be executed by hanging. Girl gets to the gallows. Has noose put around her neck. She turns and looks at me. I move from the side of the gallows to the top or gallows platform. Dream ends.
Friday - 10/19/07

Dream 1 - Driving around old work area

Driving car in Willowbrook Mall area (area in north west Houston). Not sure what kind of car I'm driving. Stop to have the car serviced. Had a near confrontation with another driver at an intersection. Area detail around the mall not consistent with real life layout of the mall. Buildings in dream that shouldn't be. Tom Z drives up and parks an old K car (primer gray in color). Dream ends.

Dream 2 - Workers doing painting in a house

People working in a house. House unfamiliar to me. Workers are painting and doing sheet rock work. Workers do not acknowledge my presence even though I'm right next to them. Color of paint is dark gray. Pete Barber is present at work stie. Workers then say "it's OK for me to be at the job site". Dream ends.

Sunday - 10/21/07

Dream 1 - partial recall of dream

Dream had many scenes or settings. Kept jumping from one scene to the next. I was mostly 3rd person in most of this dream. Not a participant. Jeremy was in one or two of the scenes. Complex settings. Scenes not connected to one another. Dream ends.

Monday - 10/22/07

Dream 1 - Refinery emergency

Walking around a refinery thru various process units. Refinery was not HOVENSA. What appeared to be coolers and air handler units filled with water and over flowed, filling the entire area with knee deep water. I was wading in knee deep water trying to get out of the water for fear of being electrocuted. Slow movements on my part. I converse with a couple of the workers. Don't remember the dialog. Left refinery and went home. Didn't recognize the house.

The boys and I were giving Ellen her birthday presents. We all give Ellen the same pajama set (pink, like the set she really has).

Note: In this dream I had some control as to where I went. I moved when and where I wanted in the refinery.

Thurs - 10/25/07

Dream 1 - confronting gang

Initial two scenes happen as 3rd person. Some guy goes to a park to confront a group about getting alcohol for an underage high school student. Group has weapons including Thompson sub machine guns. This guy disables the entire group (beat the cra$ out of them). Takes sub machine gun and starts to run away. At this point I take over this character (1st person). I start to run down a gully or ravine. I'm scared I'm being pursued. I find myself trying to find some place to hide because I know these people are after me. I'm really scared. Very few other people in this dream.

Scene switches to someone's house. House is unknown. No Ellen, Hedi & Jery join the dream. They are unaware of me trying to hide from this gang/group. Hedi wants to buy a bunch of folding chairs for a party she is having. I agree to go buy the chairs for her even though it's not safe for me to go outside. End of Dream (EOD)

PS
In the scene were the guy is running down the gully. As I switch to 1st person, I shoot and kill one of the gang members with a sub machine gun. After a few seconds or so, the guy gets up and runs away.

Sunday 10/28/07

Dream 1 - working on a file server

Trying to put HBA cards into a new file server. Also trying to decide if I should install additional power cards into the server. Was consulting Kerwin on this. The server in no way resembled a real server. Physical layout was very different than a real server.

Dream 1 - on an airplane

Dream had disjointed scenes. Not very fluid. Settings/surroundings not familiar.

On an airplane with other people. Airplane was not an airplane but a floor in some building. Some VIP came out of an elevator. Everyone but me wanted to shake his hand.

Karen was living in the same house as us. House was unfamiliar. Ellen not present in the dream. I had forgotten my earbuds and went back for them careful not to disturb Karen.

Scene switch
Arrived at a place similar to the aware house for a meeting. Looked at John W. thru a window. In the dream I remember having the impression that John looked like he was in prison when I saw him in the window.

Many other scenes with other people in these scenes. The scenes did not go with each other. I seem to have control of my movements in these scenes. I was not a casual spectator of my dreams this time.

Wednesday 10/31/07

Dream 1 - unsafe parks

I was having a conversation with someone about how unsafe parks could be. The person mentioned that people felt safe in parks when in fact they were in danger.

Scene switch
A man or woman is standing under a grove of trees. I watch as someone comes up from behind this person and proceeds to stangle them. No volume or sound while I watch the person get strangled.

Saturday 11/3/07

Dream 1 - Monastery

This dream was a really strange one. Scenes were at a monastery type location. The monks were making some of their native dishes for us to eat. One was a rather though thickly sliced meat that was similar to Schwarma and some kind of fermented mile that tasted really bad. There were lots of people in this dream. Holly was the only one I recognized.

Dream 2 - sick boss

Scene was some place I didn't recognize. Characters: sharon, karen, and ellen. Can't remember the scenery or setting. Sharon comments on how John's still sick and won't stop smoking. I comment that I was going to confront him about his smoking but was afraid to do so. I made a comment about knowing what it's like having to quit something. Sharon said she agreed and commented on me quitting drinking.

Dream 3 - family task

Another mini-dream involving Ellen, Jeremy, and myself. We went to someplace to pick up a trunk. Setting was similar to our airport but not exactly. We sent Jer back for the car while we waited with the trunk. Don't know what was in the trunk but it was important.

This scene involed all strangers. The scene was in a parking lot. Ellen and I were next to a red corvette. She bumped the corvette. I told her to be carefull or she would set off the care alarm. She ignored me and started knocking the corvette which had changed into a taxi van. Then instead of Ellen rocking the taxi van, some one else was doing it. Then the taxi van owner walked up and got into a shoving contest with the person who was rocking the taxi van.

Scene switch
Scene then changes to a department store setting but not a real department store. The area had lots of rounders filled with junk type merchandise. There was a crowd of people chasing two girls amongst the rounders. The two girls kept trying to hide in the middle of the rounders while the mob chased after them. I was just an observer "looking in" on this scene. I did not participate in this particular scene.

Dream 1 - being chased at a strip mall

Scene is some kind of strip mall or shopping mall. Dream characters are all unknown.

I park the RAV and go inside a Kroger type store. Lots of people. I then walk through the mall and into a more abandoned, run down area complete with gang type people who realize I'm in an area I shouldn't be. I have no knowledge no knowledge this is a dream. I realize my safety is at risk so I go out into the parking lot to find my car. I look around and canot find my car. I keep looking but still cannot find my car. I start to panic. EOD.

Dream 2 - Village in the middle east - DILD

Setting is somewhere in the middle east....sort of. All dream characters are unknown except for Michael - AA

Scene starts out in a remote village site. I'm part of a forward commando type group prepping the village for an invasion. When the invasion starts, some one sends up a lot of balloons to prevent any missle attacks (don't ask me, it's a dream lol).

Scene switch
Changes over to some kind of mall or something that is adjacent to the middle east village. I'm on a 30' or 40' cliff over looking the mall and village. I experience extreme vertigo as I start to slide down the cliff and then realize I'm in a dream. I know it was a dream but I didn't have total control, only partial control (if such a thing is possible). Eventually I do gain some control of my movements and actions. I didn't do god like things such as fly or walk through walls. I did however, test my awareness/control by trying to "queue a blonde". I tried to make a blonde appear in my dream but I didn't have any luck in doing so. Maybe I just thought I knew I was in a dream and that thinking I knew I was in a dream was part of the dream.

Anyway, so I wanted to test my control again, so I walked up behind an attractive girl (unknown person, age about 27/28) and took her top off. Nice breasts of course (it's my dream right? lol). I actually put my hands on her breasts for a few moments before she said that maybe we should go somewhere else. I said that would probably be a good idea but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do that because I was fixing to wake up from this dream. The dream scene starts to slowly fade. EOD.

Dream 1 - playing golf with my dad

My dad had given me a new set of clubs (3 woods, no irons). We were at something that we called the first tee box. The whole scene was really out of proportion. It was a golf course but not really. Kinda like playing golf in a parking lot or something. Everything was set on top of each other. Very cramp. Almost a feeling of claustrophobia. Besides my dad, everyone else in the dream including the other golfers were strangers. I tried out my new clubs and failed miserably. Couldn't hit the ball. My dad kept insisting I try again. The golfers behind us were getting impatient waiting for me to hit the stupid golf ball. I felt very uncomfortable in this dream. EOD.

Dream 2 - dancing/final exam

This one was really strange. No clue as to what triggered this dream.
Not sure of the setting or surroundings. Roger S was a guest in this dream.


I was performing some kind of final exam via a dance recital. I cannot dance or sing in real life, so this was just great, I should have realized this was a dream right off the bat but I didn't lol. We first performed as a group then we had to sing/dance individually. When it came time for me to perform I bombed completely. I had a very uncomfortable feeling during this whole dream sequence. Very humiliating. Roger S who was grading my performance kept belittling me. My wife was witnessing the whole dance routine and was disappointed in me as well. EOD.

Comments: bridge was a potential dream sign. Bridges often trigger vertigo in my dreams which is a dream sign for me. The bridge was too low for it to trigger my vertigo in this particular dream sequence.

Dream detail:Dream 1 - The visitor/playing golf again/road trip

I was walking around a college campus with a guest who has been staying at our house. Turns out the guest is the head of the Texas Department of Public Safety (lol don't ask me). We end up back in the kitchen of our house. Myself, the guest, Ellen (my wife), Matthew (my son), and a couple of others I don't recognize are also in the kitchen. I notice a bag with a pint of rum in it. I panic thinking Ellen would accuse me of slipping. I go into a really big panic state and almost freak out. For some reason Ellen understands the rum is not mine and says "don't worry about it". Relieved, I proceed to throw the rum into the trash along with two more bottles of rum which have mysteriously appeared out of nowhere.

Playing golf again. This time, playing with Ralph from AA. I hit the ball and it goes down the fairway like a firefly. Very irregular flight path. No one else on the golf course or in this scene.

Driving down a neighborhood drive. The road is very slick from a recent rain. Even though I'm going slow I still have a hard time controlling my car and trying to keep from slipping off the road. I'm going maybe two miles per hour. Ridiculously slow but still having a hard time. I come to two bridges and have to wait my turn to cross due to construction on the bridges. The bridges are kinda strange looking because they're made out of concrete culverts.

My wife and I are back in the house. This time all alone. We go into the room behind the kitchen. I pull off the cover to something that resembles a furnace. I proceed to inspect the furnace. For what, I do not know.

I'm reviewing a list of electronic products trying to determine the best choice for something, Again, I have no idea why or what I'm choosing, I just am. I notice a red choice and a green choice as being the best selections. Both colors are very vivid. EOD.

I don't believe that you can't sing or dance. I'd be willing to bet you could do it just as well as you do in your dreams. In your dreams, you don't care as much what people think about you, so you don't hold back. If you were to go to another city or town where you didn't know anyone, and knew you would never go back, you might find you're a really good dancer.

Preface: Don't know what could have triggered this dream. I had a extreme feeling of helplessness.

Dream detail:
Some guy and I put a little girl of about age 7 on a medical table. I the step back and become an observer for the rest of the dream. The guy turned out to be mentally unstable, criminally insane. This guy starts to put needles into the little girl and then proceeds to drain her blood. By now I'm starting to feel really creepy in this dream (as you can well imagine). I start to scream and try to stop him but I'm frozen. I can't move, can't speak, can't help this little girl. The girl is on the table awake but unaware what is being done to her. I feel extreme sorrow for her. The man does nothing but calm the girl as she lays there dying. I start to become more emotional but still cannot do anything. The dream by now has turned into a nightmare. The nightmare is feed not by fear for me, but extreme guilt at not being able to help this little girl. As the girl dies, I go into another room to see my wife. EOD.
