Was it really a dream??

This is going to be my attempt at having better recollection of my dreams from now on. The last few dreams i remember have been bordering on nightmares but I hope to change that soon. Maybe if I can remember them better, they won't worry me so much and I might have better control. So, please feel free to comment, leave suggestions etc... I don't remember much about last night, just that I was walking with someone. Don't know who... but just walking...

This afternoon is quiet, and the girls were behaving so I tried to lay down on the couch and see if I could start the WILD process. Then the phone rang and my friend called to tell me he got the house he bid on. And then there was a fly buzzing around. I tried picturing a large haunted house, like the one in the october task, and that wasn't working, so the imagry kept bouncing back and forth and I could feel a fly buzzing around my face, and then all of a sudden I saw myself back up and fall through what looked like a large chocolate mold (it kinda looked like that mold that Hans Solo was in during Star Wars, with handles and everything), but I didn't land backwards, I landed face down. So, seeing this mold there, so I (not the dream me) tried to pick up the mold to get the form out and up popped the statue of liberty. Then my phone made horrible noises and the girls were asking "mommy, can we...??" So I decided to get up and that was it.

Not much to report today again, but a strange feeling, and I use strange lightly - more of a comforting feeling, like I was being held while I slept, not to mention a song stuck in my head when I woke up - Take Me There - Rascall Flatts (I NEVER remember music titles or bands, whoever was holding me must be one heck of a cuddler). hehe, maybe it was the pillows. lol I guess I went to bed too late again last night.

It's like people would leave me alone all day, and as soon as I'd settle myself in to take a nap, it would ring every ten damn minutes. Lol. I'm certain I had been doing other stuff in my dream before this but this is all that I remember. I was walking through a downtown area somewhere, I can see lots of large buildings and tall chain link. For some reason I put my hand to my ear and called someone. I can't recall the exact question, but my answer was "tim mcgraw" . I couldn't help but think that THAT was weird and I was bordering on "ticked off and annoyed". But thought nothing of it. The guy asked me if I was certain and I said "yes. that's the answer. why wouldn't I be certain?" He says “What’s your name?” “Athena….” “Where ya from?” “Downtown?…..” "Well, do you want to know what you've won?" completely deflated like he was having a hard time being excited. I kept thinking, you're stupid. You are keeping me from something more important. I just want the trip. He says "Weeellllll, you'vvvveeee won a CD!" "You're stupid, I don't want that." I said. "Well, that's the prize." he says. "That's not what you said earlier." I said. And then my mother and both girls come in and start tickling me awake and singing to me. I love my family, but I can't help but think I was supposed to do something else.

hehe, thanks. it was a bit of a disappointment with the whole CD thing. I kept feeling like I need to go somewhere and a CD wasn't going to get me anywhere. lol Hopefully I'll remember more next time.

I got a nap today and had just a regular dream. Again, I can't remember a whole lot of the beginning but here's what I do remember.. First off, I remember a park, or grassy area... Then the outside of a building....then a dance floor.... I'm in the middle of a huge ballroom... I'm on the floor with a partner and we are gliding across the floor in time with the music. For some reason we switched partners and I'm dancing with a short hispanic man who kinda resembles my friend Josh but not really. I try showing him the steps and he affirms that he understands and we start to glide in time with the song, and then for some reason I'm turning him and in the middle of the re-turn, he puts my hand on his head and I'm scratching the top of his head and he starts to change into a dog.... and then I hear "Hey, you gonna sleep all afternoon?" sigh... I really need to get my own place for this stuff....

Oct 21. I was back in Nursing school and we had just graduated or were doing a clinical at some old 50’s style hospital. It looked very run down, from the color of white on th walls down to the dingy glass in the windows and the Checkerboard black and white colored linoleum. I want to say that we were in the psyche ward, but I’m not sure. I remember seeing someone from back then, but I don’t remember her name. And I also remember my sister being there. But this chick from school had been bitten by a patient. Almost zombie like, but more like the bad guy from the fantastic four. She wasn’t changing rapidly and she wasn’t eating other people’s brain. (I think it has to be a coincidence that it’s getting so close to Halloween for this strange dream. But anyway, Ashton Kutcher makes an appearance in my dream. WTF? I don’t even like Ashton Kutcher…. ) We’re looking for one of the doctor’s and we finally find one. He reminds me of Buddy off “Charles in charge” and says “Oh, it’s no big deal.” Then I see a flyer for a Halloween party. For some reason there’s this other chick in the hospital or at home that always competes with me over stupid stuff, and this time it was a video/dance contest (Enter Ashton Kutcher…) Next thing I know I’m walking down the hall and then it looks like some kind of two story warehouse like it’s my home and I follow my dad? (Again, no idea where this man came from or who he is. He looks nothing like my dad or step dad.) upstairs and he leads me out onto a rooftop type room. Contestants are being handed video cameras (for lack of a better term, they look like cordless blowdryers with stickers on them) and Ashton is explaining the rules. As the MC takes the mic back this chick walks up and asks “So, like, if we point this at someone’s feet it will take a video of their feet, right?” OMG, I WANTED TO SLAP HER. The MC starts explaining things again as I roll my eyes. And at just that moment, my children come in to tell me it’s time to get up. My alarm didn’t go off…. I’m going to have to fix that.

Nothing special to report today, although I'd like to know what my subconcious's current obsession with movie stars is. And not even good ones... Tom Cruise and Kati Holmes?? Suri? Ellen Degeneres? (I do think she's funny tho... ) Rosie O'Donnel? Please. Give me Vin Diesel... Jerry O'Connel.. Paul Walker... Now those are dreams that I'd have a hard time waking up from....

Just an fyi, these next couple are previously posted, but nonetheless - they are mine.... just thought i'd put them all together for my own sake.. This dream sortof started in third person and quickly moved to first person. I'm standing in the foyer of a restaurant, and I place an order. The restaurant looks like its supposed to be a nice sit down type of place and there are people everywhere. It's a dark paneled place with poor lighting. While I'm standing there with my back to the door talking to the cashier/waitress my two daughters come in like their dad just dropped them off with me. I tell them "I'm just getting something to eat, wait for me in the van." and they leave. I shift over a bit to look out the glass doors and see the girls hanging out of the van talking to my friend Jason. I turn back to the counter and theres a new chick/cashier/waitress standing there. I ask her "how long is it going to take to make my order?" and she looks at me and says "what did you order?" " I said, a burger, fries and a drink." She says "hang on, i'll check on that for you." I turn around again to check on the girls and they are still out there talking to Jason. Back to the counter, there is no one there. I'm getting really mad. There are people milling about, sitting down, at the bar, everywhere, but no one is eating and they all look like they are waiting for something to start. I start moving along the counter, asking out loud "Where in the hell is my stuff I have to go!" and this guy comes out of no where. He's just a bit shorter than I am, messy blondish hair askes me if there's a problem. I start telling him what the problem is and he looks like he's really listening to me but at the same time is leading me around the dining area where more people are, I keep looking back trying to check on the girls, but I can't see the doors anymore. Then suddenly we are outside and in an alley or backyard. Broken fence boards, trash, broken concrete, wild vines and trash cans around sporadically. I keep looking back and at this point he has his arm around my shoulders and he's talking but I can't make out the words. He tightens his grip around my shoulders to move up around my neck. I can't move my head and I see this horrible look in his face. He looks like he's going to hurt me. His eyes are dark and his smile has a menacing look to it. Suddenly, I'm away from him and I'm running as fast as I can and I'm scared to death that this guy is chasing me. I can't see the parking lot, but I see Jason and my girls walking down the street in front of this house. He's got my youngest on his hip and is walking next to my oldest. My oldest is hopping around in the yard and I'm screaming "JASON" "MORGAN" "TAYLOR" as loud as I can, but they can't hear me. I can't seem to run fast enough to catch them. There's a fence between us and I can't get to the end of it. Then suddenly I'm walking into this house. But it's not a house. There's a bunch of men wearing blue shirts and pants. Jason's there, but he's got on jeans and a white jersey looking t-shirt on. I realize, we're in a firehouse. I hug Jason and then realize that I haven't seen my girls. "Where are my girls at?" i start freaking out. "calm down, they're alright." I sit down on one of the bunks. Everything is light colored or chrome. Jason walks into another room, but I don't follow him. I walk through another door where I can see down the hallway. I see my girls wearing firemen helmets surrounded by more firemen and watch Jason walk up to the group. They are getting a tour of the fire trucks. I recall saying to myself a couple of times, this is a dream. But I don't think it made much of a difference in what happened. I am 29, female, and am currently living with my folks while I go to school. My girls are with me every other week so I see them alot. Right now, their dad lets me see them in the mornings of his weeks because I go to school at night and miss a large part of their life becuase of school. I have recently been craving a relationship, even tho now isn't the greatest time for one. My marriage ended about 3 years too late. My last relationship, I realized I had fallen back into old patterns and ended it before anything else happened. I met Jason at school. It was the first night of class that we started hanging around together at school. I only see him and talk to him at school. He's 31, navy reserves, 6'5ish, has a smile I'd swear I'd seen in dreams before, recently (i don't know what constitutes recent in guy terms) broke up with his girlfriend, so he's single. Lives alone and talks to and visits his folks alot. He doesn't have any kids and as far as i can tell, has never been married. He is someone I would like to get to know better, but I don't know where he stands on the issue. I had heard him mentioning before "Can you imagine having a girl friend while trying to take this class? After working all day? They'd just get on your freakin nerves!" He has been in a couple more dreams I have had lately. I hope someone can help me out. Sleep is coming at a high price lately, and I can't afford to loose any more or have anymore restless nights.

apparently you can't just put in a quote and not say anything.... Last night I had 4 separate dreams and somehow I remember most or parts of all of them. The first one had bad vibes from the start. Some guy dressed in nearly all black came busting through our front door and folding chair and slammed it against the wall. He started charging for me but I slipped into a back room where my parents (Mom and Dad, so I knew it was a dream) were and cried "Daddy this guy is gonna hurt me!" So, my dad got up and raced into the other room and then I looked through the window and there was my step-dad talking to Ben (one of the guys in my class), like nothing had been happening. The second one also had bad vibes. This same guy, I'm assuming as he didn't make it into the house by the front door this time because in my dream I had made sure to have the front door locked. He was banging and trying to smash the front door down and I realized that I hadn't locked the back sliding glass door. I raced over to lock it just as he was rounding the corner of the back of the house and got it locked. I could hear him trying to break the glass and I ran for my bedroom. I was digging in my closet for my gun. I found it, and rememberd that I didn't have any shells for it. So I start thinking, there's got to be some left over in here somewhere, and I slowly start to find a few shells... I'm getting really nervous at this point and stumbling with the ammunition and I realized, 6 shots isn't going to be enough. So I look up at the door expecting him to be there and I only see a shadow. Then I looked back at the gun and it had changed to a 9mm. I cocked the gun and then the house got all quiet and the dream ended. The third and fourth dreams I'm pretty sure just had something to do with class. I dreamt of different blueprints and I guess I was trying to read them. I did nothing to induce these dreams, they just came to me, and I don't think I have felt that kind of vibe in a dream in a really long time. The last time was when I was younger and dreamt that our neighbors house was getting broken into and I was watching it from the garage and I thought the guy had seen me. I am very glad that I read up on some of the techniques on how to control the dream tho. I think it came in mighty handy..

K, last dream that i have posted on other threads... hope you like them all. I had a strange choppy dream last night. I remember going to this place that looked like a bar on the outside, but there weren't any neon lights or outside lights of any kind. I remember going in and it looked like church pews and lots of people were inside, but they were all dressed in dark clothes. I thought, I must be dreaming, I would never go to a place like this alone without a reason, so i did the breathing test (first time for that one) and I could still breathe holding my nose. Then someone saw me and I was back in my car and hauling ass down this dark road and ended up a few miles down the road and saw my car upside down in someone's yard. My phone was missing the entire back of it but I hit the buttons anyway and called 911. Some how it dialed emergency services. The lady sounded annoyed but said that she'd send a patrol out. So, I called one of my friends on my cell phone and started hollering, "my car is upside down!!" They asked how was I not in the car and dead if the car was upside down. I said "I don't know, just come get me." Then the flashing lights appeared and I started spinning. When I stopped spinning i was in a hall way, then i started spinning again and then it moved into a recurring dream i've been having lately about a buch of people I know all in an office or apt building type place, coming and going. I was impressed that I remembered the reality checks and trying the spinning technique even if it didn't quite work for me the way I would have liked.

.... i think i'd be scared shitless if i had a break-in dream... i sleep upstairs and my mom sleeps downstairs... i would grab anything i had that was heavy and fly down those steps... no asshole looking for money is gonna hurt my mom... as far as the jason thing... go out for drinks or something... goto lunch with him.. see where shit goes... for that last one.. i think i'd have just stared at my car..... and stared... till i woke up... but then again.. my car is currently totalled and i'm driving a damned tahoe till nationwide gets off their asses and sends me a check.... keep em coming!

Last night was pretty good. Not lucid, but still good. I was meeting my friend Natalie at the bar. I kept looking around for a new friend also. Me and Nat were getting pretty trashed and I kept getting up to go check on the new friend. Then guys from class showed up and I guess I was taking a cab somewhere to meet the new friend. I enjoyed it. I remember snoozing the alarm but the dream after the snooze was really choppy. So I don't remember it much. I wanna say Ben was in it, but I won't swear to anything.

Ok, first the funny thing.... I was up untl 2am last night, while not completely unusual.... I was still dog tired from spending nearly 2 hours dying my hair. Somehow, I forgot to turn my alarm clock on and got woke up from a buzzing noise (which I'm totally impressed that I heard).... It was my ex-husband PISSED AS ALL HELL! It took everything I had not to laugh my ass off or give a smart assed reply when he asked me if I was going to be there soon. I looked at the alarm clock and internally screamed "OH SHIT!" I over slept by an hour. He tried to get mad at me (which was funny as hell) when this is the first time I've been late to our meeting place since school started and I've lost count how many times he's been late. Ok... Now the sad part.... I don't remember much about my dream last night. I remember walking around a downtown area again with another theme song.... "Champagne Supernova" and it ended at a lunch truck. Kinda lame, but it's all I got.

Well, I had a couple of visitors in my dreams last night. Oneironaut was as good as his word and stopped by to visit me last night. For some reason we were at school and he decided I needed help with my project. He ended up doing most of it. I remember feeling really happy and telling him that if he didn't let me do my project, I wasn't going to get credit for it. He smiled and went to hug me...... AAANNNDDDD the alarm went off. D'oh! Well, I immediately hit the snooze button and went right back to my dream, only this time we were somewhere else. It was really cozy and nice. In the dream my phone rang... my friend (we'll call him R), R called and was mad at me for spending time with O. Oh my was he mad... I had to remind R that he was the one to make the point that we are JUST FRIENDS and I wasn't doing anything wrong. Well, that didn't make him any happier in the dream and then R was standing right in front of me and to make things even more complicated O had his arms around me, standing behind me. AAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDD THEN the alarm goes off again as does my phone in real life too. The phone was R texting me it was time to wake up and not to be late.... *shrug* I think next time I request a "dream visit" I'm going to have to be a tad more specific.... Aluminum blocks and drill presses are not what I had in mind. *hugs to O* Thanks for the visit. *HUG* OOOO one more thing I want to add.... my eyes we almost gold colored this morning.... I'd like to figure out how I did that and do that again and take a pic of the affect... *hopes that they change that color when she's happy*

Ok, so much to my dismay I KNOW I had a dream last night... but I'm thinking that the alcohol made it to where I CAN'T REMEMBER CRAP!!! *stomps her feet and cries a little bit* It was a gooooooood dream too!!!! I even laid in bed with my eyes closed for an extra minute hoping I would see one tiny thread of my dream.... but NNOOOOOOo not a THING. /goes off to sulk now.....
