Thread: Was it really a dream??

... HAHA.. sounds like it would have been neat to see if nothing else.. lol...

I was at the summer special olympics. I was helping with one of the races at at the starting line I'm talking to this girl. She appeared to have down syndrome and was extremely large for her age. (She was bigger than me!) Not fat, just really really thick. She saw this guy on the starting line and she asked who that was. I guess she thought he was cute because just before the race started, she walked acroos the lanes and pushed and pummeled this guy into the ground. Next thing I know, I'm over asking him if he was ok and if he knew her. he mentioned that that was twice today. I said "I think she likes you" and notice his arm in a sling. He said "She does that." I asked him "why?" he said "your guess is as good as mine."

Next thing I know I'm in an attic, I think it's my mom's - but it doesn't fit. It's much too tall and there are stairs leading down from the floor. Its not quite a finished attic but still inhabitable. The guy with his arm in a sling is sitting in a recliner in the attic and watching tv. I walked down the stairs to look and opened a door. My oldest daughter was in the top of a closet. She had been locked up as a punishment of some kind. I get her down and plan to take her home with me.

We get to the center of the house and the girl from the race is there and she's throwing mud at the guy from the race. But the guy has a thin cut black suit on and all of the mud keeps flying into the suit, filling it up. He's got mud on his face and in his suit coat and pants. For some reason I think he looks like Justin Timberlake (thanks Jeff, I think that one is YOUR fault). And all the while he's getting mud thrown at him, I have this commlink (yes, i'm a geek) with digital contacts and this guy is spamming my vision with ads to buy a house and interest rates.

NEXT thing I realize is that both of my children have diaper rash. I found this really upsetting seeing as they shouldn't have been in diapers to begin with. They've been potty trained for years. My oldest acts like she's been getting treated for diaper rash for ever and has absolutely no modesty whatsoever. I got really irritated and the dream ended. Thank heavens.

That was hilarious! Love hurts. Reminded me the "Roont" characters in the Dark Tower books. I only mention it because it's so similar I was wondering if you read it.

No, I haven't had the pleasure of reading that. I guess I'll have to pick that one up during Christmas break.

I think this was leftovers from the B6 I took the night before but here goes anyway...

Hey, now ALL females aren't violent.... and there are guys kinda dig our violent tendancies... lmao

I have learned, most recently, that most of my really strange dreams are stress related. One time I had a sex dream about a guy I worked with just before they announced who was getting promoted. And quite literally, I got screwed. Another time I had a dream where my (since passed) grandfather came to me and took my (then) husband with him, away from me. And left my mother sitting in my grandfather's chair saying "it's time for him leave you now." Not six months before my (then) husband came home and told me that it was time to end our marriage. Last night, I dreamt I was running for Homecoming Rivet Queen. Think I might be stressed about school? Tomorrow night will probably be a hospital scene of some kind since my mom seems to be getting sick and the doc's don't know what's wrong with her.

Anyway, On with the show.....

The dream is really fragmented because it started just before the alarm clock started going off. Our class is in the sheet metal room and we're all working on our projects. Some announcement comes over the PA, for nomination for Homecoming Queen. I found it a little disconcerting, since this is a vo-tech and the most intramural sport on campus is hacky sack or catch football. But, alas, I was nominated. Why and by who is anybody's guess.

enter the first alarm... hit the snooze (why i'm not sure)

Go back into our classroom and I'm talking to my friend Ben, and he tells me Josh is running for homecoming king. I'm not terribly surprised at this, just didn't know you could do that. We talk about some other not so important stuff.

and alarm two or three... or four... i don't know at this point.

Now all the nominees and king candidates are standing in front of a podium waiting for the results. Next thing I hear, "And your Homecoming Rivet Queen is......."insert name here"!!! - not a name I can remember but certainly not mine. Who ever it was, was with Josh. So I guess, technically, he won?

At that point, I just decided to get up.

I hate stress.

I think you need massive amounts of hugs I know how it is with school-related stress... But I hope everything will be ok for your mum.

This dream was DV and RL rich with DC's. OMG. It was one huge party, and that was probably just the thing I needed. To discern everyone real life dc's will be in blue, and DV members will be in pink.

Ralph was throwing a party, Xox and I started out in a foyer. The foyer was done in rich wood finish and had a three legged easel (like you see in restaurants) with a chalk board and some writing on it. I couldn't make out the writing but there a hostess that looked like a biker chick with jeans and chaps and a tank top and really long hair that was pulled back. She led us down a short hallway, with dark brown paneling and brightly lit sconces. We walked through another doorway and came into a pool area. Suddenly we were standing on the edge of the pool with KuroSaki, cloudWalker, and Sam. Most of the people at the edge of the pool jumped in feet first, and I dove in head first (which is totally weird for me) and I had my eyes closed as I dove through the water but could see, for lack of a better term, natural light filter through the water. It was a pretty blue color. I came back up to the surface and a ton of other people were now in the pool, including Ralph, Robert, Oneironaut and Oneironaut_Jeff777. I decided to swim to the other side of the pool where there was this massive planter. Trees were coming out of this bronze sculpture and I stood up in the shallower end and looked over and saw another pool. Only this one was empty and I started looking at the intricate tile work. It had black onyx looking tiles. I asked Ralph why we weren't able to use that side of the pool too and he said "What? you don't think this pool is big enough? Besides, it's already a bitch to keep clean!" I got out of the pool and started looking around. And for some strange (HOLY MOTHER OF GOD STRANGE) reason I was thinking, "I really shouldn't have done that dive.... it could have hurt the baby." I could SEE my stomach was HUGE! I was pregnant and didn't even think twice about it.... just kept looking around.

Anyway, I started trying to look around and the dream faded into rivets and different types of flour...

Haha. Cool dream, legs.

And what a coincidence (again); I had a dream about being in a huge pool with a group of friends last night, too.

I don't know what's been going on this weekend, maybe I'm getting too much sleep, but I have had absolutely no recall at all.

I did spend an absolutely enjoyable saturday with my girls tho. We got up early and cleaned house, went shopping for some winter clothes and got our hair done. My oldest bailed and went to spend the night at a friend's house and my baby and I made mac and cheese and went to see a movie.

My baby made me laugh til I cried while we were shopping tho. She had picked out this "princess" set and tried it on. I had tried telling her that she never really like the sets other people have bought for her but she insisted. Well, she put it on and came out and was blushing. Mom was with us and asked her if she liked it. She just kind of stood there with a silly face and I told her, go look in the mirror. She stood infront of the mirror and started giggling and making faces at herself. She came back over and I asked this time "well, do you like it?" She was shaking her head no, and I asked one more time... She said "no" in almost a whisper. I asked "why?" This time she did whisper and said "it looks dumb." I was laughing so hard people started staring at me in the store. Once I finally got a hold of myself and told mom what she had said, Mom got on to me about egging her on about her clothes.

My oldest (prima-donna) made me realize that she's getting older too. We were at Old Navy and trying on jeans. She grabbed about 12 different pair of jeans. While she was trying on the jeans I could almost see into the future. I know it's corny and probably silly too, but my 9 yr old girl won't look 9 for much longer. She's going to be 10 soon and I'm afraid that before 4th grade is over, she's going to look 12 and it's just going to keep getting worse from there. When we were getting our hair done yesterday, she picked out a very grown up hair style and with the jeans she insisted on wearing out of the store; she looked nothing like the 9yr old that walked out of the house that morning.

I'm not going to be ready for them to grow up so fast. I miss so much with school and soon I will have to find work and I'll miss even more. I hope like hell that the next 16-17 months of hard work and little time with my girls will be worth every second in the end. I hate missing watching them grow up. I hope I'll see the rest of it.

I think today we will conquor Wal-mart for groceries and assorted hair stuffs and maybe a camera or two.

Right after we treat Mom to breakfast.

Last night was retro tv night... from what I can remember......

I was standing outside the scene and I'm in this house where the lady from "That 70's Show" is talking to her son and saying "Did I tell you about the time we met your father?" Fade into flashback: She looks like Flo, from Alice, big hair and TONS of makeup and this really horrid yellow color shirt with bleach blonde hair.... she's talking to a toddler in the back seat and constantly checking her make up.. She's driving the "General Lee" and is trying to see the kid from the rearveiw mirror and still talking when the car carreens off to the right and shoots up into the air and is rolling to the right side... she's about to land on this guy who's carrying a baby and walking in the dessert. THEN OUT OF NO WHERE!!! Eivl Kenivl Shoots through the air and the potential crash site snatches up the kid in the man's arms and lands perfectly with the kid tucked into his coat sleeve. Somehow "Flo" lands the General Lee without scratching the paint job, the man walking is barely missed and doesn't fall over.... and then the alarm goes off..... alright, no more beer and candy before bed.

Why can't I remember GOOD STUFF?

Well, I'm guessing I got too much sleep again. I awoke this morning rested and not remembering a damn thing! *rolls her eyes*

That happens to me very often! Sometimes when I get a really good night's sleep I don't remember anything, or maybe just a fragment or two. It pisses me off. Then I think of my green eyed sista from anotha mista and I get happy again.

And I smile every time I think of my green eyed sista from another mista too!!!

I don't know if I actually dreamed last night or if my subconscious got tired of getting blamed for shit and just made something up... but here goes anyway...

All I remember is sitting down at a small table with hard hard chairs... probably cast iron.. painted white, drinking tea and talking to a handsome black man. I don't know if it was Oneironaut, my friend R or someone else.
