robots also dream

08.24.05 - 08.25.05

i'm walking down a concrete path by the beach. coming the other way on the path is a massive lion. there are elephants sitting ominously in the waves just a bit off shore. the lion gives me a menacing look as i pass by him. i glance back at him and he's stopped dead in his tracks looking at me. i get nervous. i look out at the elephants and they're walking away into deeper water. i start walking faster. i look back and the male lion is shrinking into the distance. i continue forward. i look behind me and see a female lion. i start to walk yet faster. i look behind me and she's starting a run. i start running. i keep looking back and see her gaining on me. when she gets close she bites me in the butt. not hard, but a playful bite. i look back and she's right there. she's happy. she's playing. i stop running and start talking to her. i ask her why there are african animals everywhere. she tells me that the government introduced them to help out our environment. i accept it. she leads me to a house at the end of the path. it's in construction. i find a book in the middle of one of the rooms. it has a dark leather cover and strange looking characters in it. i examine it for a while. when i look up from the book the construction is done. the room looks like an auditorium. there are blinking tv's on the walls. i examine everything. i wake up.

09.01.05 - 09.02.05

i'm looking through a warehouse for something. this big bastard starts following me. i can see him through the shelves in the warehouse. i turn a corner and confront him. he's massive. ripped. angry looking. he starts swinging at me. i walk backwards through the warehouse while blocking his punches. i start grabbing things off the shelves and throwing them at him. many of the objects i pick up feel very very heavy in my hand... but they just bounce off of his chest. finally i run and try to tackle him. he's like a rock. i can't hurt him. i crawl up onto his shoulders and start pounding on his head with something. he keeps trying to grab me but fails. finally i reach both my hands around his face and cover his eyes. he's helpless. he starts wandering around with his hands out in front of him. i turn his head to point him in the direction that i want him to go.

moral of the dream. information is power. i control what he sees (or doesn't see) and i point him in the direction that i want him to go.
