      Rollercoaster!

I had a crazy dream last night that I was riding on a rollercoaster and MY GOD it was so scary but at the same time I was having so much fun! It wasn't a typical rollercoaster, the part that stood out the most was seeing the track go WAYYY up into the sky and seeing this before I actually went up scared the crap out of my and I closed my eyes and held on for dear life, I could feel the rush..I have looked up what this means, and it says that I am experiencing emotional ups and downs, which is very very true. One day I can be happy then the next I am down because of some things that are going on in my life that not all have to do with me. I was wondering if anyone else have had a similar dream?

Dreams of a rollercoaster ride generally involve more than their being a simple indication of experiencing emotional ups and downs.

Note how in your dream you are seeing the great height to which the rollercoaster is taking you as being so scary. The height, or the up part of the ride, refers to the elation, joy, happiness you could experience. When an ‘emotional up’ is associated with a rollercoaster, the problem is that while you might greatly enjoy the happiness etc., it can become scary because in your mind it is also associated with an expected to occur ‘down or depression’.

Many people are afraid to enjoy great happiness because they live with a belief that says when one is too happy, something unpleasant or bad will soon happen. This is a self fulfilling belief which needs to be done away with.

The track going way up into the sky would suggest that the True Self sees that ‘the sky is the limit’ where happiness and joy are involved. You may need to let yourself enjoy the emotional ups and the thrill that comes with them and keep your mind off the possibility of any down period that ‘might’ follow.
