Alternate Reality - Normal Life and Anarchy

The title of this thread is actually a summary of a dream I had last night.

I was in the anarchy situation first with kids running around an area that was in a desert, but had pubs and arcades. A bit like Skegness but in a dessert if your from the UK! I don't think I was a young child but probably late teens in the dream. Big crowds of kids were running around, attacking each other and generally running a muck. One point I remember is a fence with a little bit of barbed wire and kids trying to escape. At this point when some of them climb over, someone shouts that there are landmines in the desert beyond the fence and everyone runs back. Now at the top of a small hill around this area, there is a man of African descent guarding a glowing red door. He lets me in and I feel a sense of acceptence from him. As I enter the room, the anarchy is no longer there and I'm in a room of a stately home. He goes back out of the room to defend the door and comes back in to greet me. I'm a little scared but have a feeling of admiration for him. He shows me round and I realise that it used to be where I lived. All my memories come back and this man guarding the gate used to be my lover in this reality. But he was the young butler and I was the eldest daughter of a well off family. This dream in no way relates to my real life! But in the dream I love the man, I kind of get the aura of my fiance from him, even though he looks nothing like him in real life. Next there is a panic and the whole family have gone insane trying to kill each other, including me and this man. This is like a replay of how the alternate realities started off, all from this insanity and killing in the well off, realistic like life to the kids running around in the desert. The man saves me but I don't know what happens to him. Then I woke up.

To add some more weirdness to this, I was semi-lucid at points as I would jump around to avoid people and I bounced high up and I deliberately ran in front of cars as it feels really funny. But when people hit me it hurt, but only for a second then it vanished. I was actually getting annoyed as I couldn't understand how it could hurt when I was dreaming. It's so annoying being on the edge of fully lucid but not quite getting there!

Anyone got any ideas in regards to what this dream means?
