Reliving the same half hour every day

Hi Guys, i had a dream a week or so ago that woke me up with the mental clarity to get out of bed in the middle of winter and type it all out (at 1am). I'm hoping you may be kind enough to shed some light onto it if youre willing.

I have no idea what it means but it really disturbed me.

its in three scenes. each scene fades into the next.

this is it:
"snapshot - me, two work mates and one other - my American cousin Jason for some sort of a holiday decide a trip to China is in order so we find ourselves here (in china) riding some sort of an oriental train joking around in a carriage eating Chinese made pizza. a piece of the topping of mine slides off while om holding it and lands on the floor. i look at it land and focus keenly on the piece.

snapshot - me and the two work mates and Jason are in the hotel (again oriental flavour) and its dark and raining outside. were in my room. theres a single bed, a small walk in robe, and a little kitchenette. its a dark coloured room - burgundy i think.

snapshot - theres me waking up to my mother sitting on the bed looking intently at my face. i look up and smile wondering why shes there. the others are gone somewhere. I ask whats goin on and she tells me that I've been here for 2 years and 20 days cos the Chinese wont let me leave. she knows its been this long because my little sister had her baby the day i left, That i wake up for a half hour every day and ask exactly the same question then when I'm put back to sleep, my memory of that day goes and I'm back to the last memory being the last day before it began - back at the scene of the hotel room with the others there. My mother and a mother of one of the others have been coming over 6 months on 6 off to bath and feed us and keep us alive as when we find out the situation we fall apart and crack up. Every day this happens. For 2 years and 20 days. i ask her what happened and she explains that we were taken by the Chinese government for a false reason and are being 'kept' for something.nothing scary, just political. its still raining like it was on that first night. my mother and i talk about a few inane things while I'm waking up. I look around. Most of the furniture there is fake - ageing cardboard obviously placed when it looked real and obviously for show - cameras maybe. A weird vase thing on a shelf. one of those 70s ones where the maker has heated the glass as flared the top half out horizontally in waves. its filled with butter. For some reason my bags are still in the robe, but the contents are my type of stuff, its not my actual possessions. I manage to find and start a computer there. i go directly to my email - theres thousands and thousands of them, some from the australian gov about my expired travel visa to china, some from my EX asking for stuff, nothing about me having disappeared. i manage to use the computer as a net phone and try and call my girlfrield who i work with - i get the receptionist of all people and ask to talk to my GF. she tells me she's in Melbourne. i take that to mean that shes there for work as we have a temporary office there. the receptionist then asks me where i am and i say I'm still in China and need help from my GF, forgetting for the moment that i was just told she was in Melbourne. the receptionist again tells me that my GF is in Melbourne. i ask when shes coming back and am asked what i mean? my company moved (approx 2ooo km) down there more than a year ago. The full weight of what ive lost hit me full in the face because at that point i comprehend that the whole world has moved on (including my GF) while to me time only travelled a half hour - the half hour that i wake up every day before forgetting it only to start again the next day at the start of the half hour again. Next i hear a car outside and look out the window and see a while limousine pull up with 4 people getting out. i return to the bed and sit down again. waiting for them, not knowing what they will do or why. the room door opens and a Chinese man is standing there with his attendant on his knees wiping the water from the rain off his shoes. i back to the kitchenette and out of view. two old white ladies walk to where i am - one with ampules in their hand of some unknown drug. both ladies have the classic 'active grandmotherly faces'. they ask me to return to the bed, which i do, then they draw a syringe and inject me. the room spins and the scene ends.

this dream almost turned me to tears. it is even now really upsetting me"

personally i am a moderately successful in the work place. im a bachelor who lives alone. i love my job and am massively comfortable being me. im 37 and a male btw.

i have no idea what this dream is trying to say but since i havent remembered a dream let alone woken up to one in what? 20 years?

Recurring dreams are often a sign for something that has not been properly solved in real life, maybe an unspoken problem in a personal, close relationship.
