      Dream Interpretation involving puppy

Hey everyone, this is my first post. I've been getting quite interested in dream interpretation and have been wanting to learn more about the subject. Anyways, I had a dream last night and since I am still a newbie, I thought you guys would be able to help me.

The dream started off with me in my house, I am holding a blanket (not a child's blanket, but one you would have for a couch) and I see a puppy infront of me, it kind of looked like this: http://www.atouchofclasscotons.com/C...ages/Puppy.jpg except with beige-ish, gold-ish fur. I was happy and excited that I had this new pet puppy. The puppy then saw me and we looked at each other but we didn't do anything, and then it turned towards me. The puppy then stood up on its hind legs (like how some dogs are trained to do) and it wasn't really expressed by the puppy, but I felt like I should "shake its paw". Except I didn't. It didn't feel right to do. The puppy tried to rest its front paws on me but there was something that didn't allow it to. I cannot recall if I was holding the blanket in front of my body or not. I believe I was and this was the reason why the puppy couldn't rest itself on me. The other situation was that it just couldn't rest itself on me with or without the blanket. I think I was a bit sad that the puppy couldn't make physical contact with me. Right next to me was a couch so I lied down on it and put the blanket on myself (not over my whole body, but the way you would put a blanket over yourself while lying on a couch). Then the dream ended. I think the puppy was about to jump onto the couch and rest on/by me, but it wasn't able to, which also made me sad.

That was my dream. When I woke up I wrote down my dream in as much detail as I could recall. I added the emotions after reading the sticky at the top of this forum. I'd rather not post any personal information about myself besides the fact that I am an 17 year old male.

Thanks, I hope this is enough.

Something/someone who gives you security(the blanket) is preventing a new something/someone that you feel lovingly about or devoted to (the puppy) from getting in "sync" with you. You desire this contact but you feel it isn't right.

"I felt like I should touch it but it didn't feel right to do."
You are having an ethical dilemma and your subconscious is trying to "work through" it.
