Please can some one interpret the dream of my granddad or give me some advice, i'm desperate.

My granddad recently died around 2 months ago. I had a dream the other night that he spoke to me on the phone and said to me he was going to visit me tonight. Before i could ask if i could have someone with me the phone went down, i think i said i miss you and he said im fine but i can't remember the whole conversation properly. Was i talking to him or was this just my dream?

      Hello Widnesfox

I am sorry for your loss.

      I see three possibilities:

      - It was a dream, where you talked to your granddad as dream character.
      - It was a dream, but your granddad entered your dream to communicate with you.
      - It was not a normal dream, you talked with your granddad in some kind of "other plane".

I can't tell you what it was, obviously. I think you should try to gain answers in your dreams, you may see him again. You should try to call him, on a phone or by thought.

Hope you get some anwers, good luck

It was a dream. Never let wishful thinking get in the way of reality.
Its not because you want something to be true, that it is.
I'm really sorry for your loss though.

My personal opinion is that it was "just a dream". But I would go easy on the "just" part. Clearly your granddad has been a significant part of your life - why else would you be asking? This could well be an important dream with an important message for you - but it comes not from your granddad but from your unconscious. Maybe you have been concerned that there are things you wish you had said to him?

Dreams like this may help you reconcile any unresolved issues in your life, perhaps exemplified in your relationship with your granddad (but by no means limited to it). Be vigilant for any other clues both in dreams and with feelings in real life that may be related to the same theme.

There is no proof that it is not indeed your granddad. I am very open to the possibility of the after life. I feel people cling to rigid non-spiritual beliefs just because they are told to. There is a lot more to the universe then we could possibly know.

      Sorry for your loss.

Keep contacting your grandfather if possible. You'll find out the answers for yourself.

Lol. Especially because you first wrote: "I am a firm believer in the after life. I feel people cling to rigid beliefs just because they are told to. Believe."

      Fundie.

Well, guess what - if you claim that it IS his grandpa, then you will to prove that it is; and not the other way around.
But I will not get into another war.. ehr.. debate right now, because that would show disrespect for his loss and that wouldn't be appropriate.

      1. Nice double-post
      2. What a mindless condescending post, your profiles say that you're a year younger than he is.

Also Widnesfox, it's probably just a dream, in my opinion.

It baffles the mind as to why there are so many people around here who take pleasure in being total cocks to other people. Quit aimlessly flaming others and give the original poster some damn feedback, or get out of the thread.

@original poster: I know how you're feeling...I saw my dad in my dreams a lot after he died (even though we weren't close), and now I've had a couple dreams involving my grandma who recently passed on.

Whether it's a mere dream or an actual communication you're experiencing with your grandfather is for you to decide on your own - did it feel real to you, or did it seem too surreal to be true?

Literally, just about anything is possible, and anyone who tries to dispute that with their inane "uh noe its liek imposible ur lying their is noe afterlief think about ti logicly!!!!11" is ignoring (or plain denying) some pretty fundamental aspects of logic...not to mention philosophy.
