      Beheaded My Cat!!!

I took in a cat about a year ago, and I just adore her. But I got a pet turtle for Christmas that I just adore.

Recently, my cat began trying to climb into the tank when I'm not around. So I've been scolding her and she now knows that it's off-limits to go around her tank.

I'm 38, a guy, I own my own house and am in a happy relationship.

In the dream that I had last night, I beheaded my cat with a sharp knife. We were on a street corner, my door was open, and used my knee as an "operating table". I was horrified!!! She just laid in my lap and let me do it.

She's black and white, medium size, and never uses her claws against me. In the dream, she was perfectly still as I cut off her head.

In the dream, I thought "How dreadful! What I'm doing is awful!" But I kept sawing away until her head just came right off.

I turned the head around and looked inside. I could see a part of her brain, her spinal cord, and some other interesting tid-bits. The body was still moving about, like there was nothing wrong, slinking against my leg and such.

In the dream, I knew that there was something that I was supposed to do with the head before I re-attached it. I had to cut something out to repair the kitty.

I had a needle and thread handy, and when I was finished doing whatever I was going to do, I had to carefully sew back on kitty's head, matching up nerves and vessels.

I woke from this dream while I was still trying to figure out what I was supposed to remove from Kitty's neck/brain/cord. I woke up feeling terrible, and kitty was sleeping on the bed at my feet.

      ...thoughts? I'd be grateful.

      Heh...welcome

I had a dream the other day about killing one of my best friends. I felt a bit bad about it when I woke up but got over it pretty quickly. I guess it would be different for animals I always have a soft spot for them...and cut through the cat's neck... O.o

But uhhh yeah just remember you do lots of things in dreams you would never do in real life and as far as I know cats can't see your dreams.

Maybe kitty is getting revenge on you. Trying to make you feel bad so you would pay more attention to her rather than Mr. turtle. I find cats fascinatingly psychic.

      Thanks, guys.

Of course, I'd never hurt kitty in real life. It just made me feel bad that I could even dream something like this.

The thing was, even while I was operating on kitty or whatever it was that I was doing, the body was still walking around. And I knew that eventually I was going to reattach the head and this procedure was going to make kitty all better.

      Weird.

This forum is so interesting! I love this!

      That does sound messed. o_o

Errr...maybe your dream was showing you what you essentially did. You told the cat no, and now the cat has it in her head that she can't climb in the tank. Maybe your dream was showing you what you essentially did. You told her 'no', so essentially, you fixed it in her brain. Maybe that's why in your dream, you felt you had to fix something, which you essentially did. You fixed it in her head that she's not allowed near the turtle tank.

      That's my two cents, anyways.
